Wilde (ワイルド, Wairudo) is a Saibaman owned by Ledas. When he was given to the Saiyan by Captain Banas, he was already in his red form, indicating he was a Saibaman of significant power and experience. Wilde is a secondary character in Dragon Ball Z: The Forgotten and Dragon Ball: Heart of the Dragon.
History[]
Dragon Ball Z: The Forgotten[]
Lauto Saga[]
Wilde was one of Ledas' red Saibaman who survived the raid on the rebels. His name is a pun on wild seed. He was the strongest of the Saibamen, and was deemed their leader. Under Ledas, he coordinated the attack on the rebels, showing that he possessed some capacity to think. Wilde was the first Saibaman named by Ledas, not only in pun, but due to his wild personality in battle. He led the main force of Saibamen, and killed more of the rebels than anyone, except for Ledas. He was considered the favorite of Ledas, and often acted as his right hand man to the other Saibamen.
Planet Earth Saga[]
Wilde led the training exercises during Ledas' search for Earth, and it was his strength in dueling that let the others rise to his level. Unlike the others, Wilde in the fourth saga, did not wreak havoc the Earth town, but attempted to get his soldiers under control. As Oppa was too frenzied to deal with, Wilde resorted to killing him instead. He also shot Sonfla for subordination, though his attack did not kill the green Saibaman.
Fulfillment Saga[]
Thereafter, he continued to act as the Saibamen leader, with Carawa's support, though Ses and Ame were less enthusiastic about his leadership. He was the Saibaman most often used by Ledas as company whenever Ledas was lonely. Wilde was seen in final two chapters of this saga, training in Ledas' gravity training unit with his fellow Saibamen. By this point, his strength had grown far beyond that of a normal Saibaman's, and he was extremely loyal to Ledas. He had become far stronger than any of the other Saibamen as of his last appearance in The Forgotten.
Dragon Ball: Heart of the Dragon[]
West City Saga[]
On May 30, Age 774, Ses was in the kitchen trying to fill a glass of water. Jia entered, screaming upon seeing Ses. The Saibaman fled out the back door in distress, dropping his glass, and leaving the sink running. Jia tried to apologize, but he was long gone. After calling over a CLEAN-BOT to clean up the broken glass, she looked out the window, watching Wilde and Carawa sunbathe in the backyard while Ses and Ame sparred in front of them, thinking to herself how crazy this was.
On May 31st, the mailwoman dropped off mail at Ryori and Ledas' house when Wilde sprung from a nearby bush, spooking her. She fled in her hovertruck, much to Wilde's amusement. Ses and Ame were with him, finding the encounter most agreeable.
On the night of June 1st, Chiaki hopped the fence into the school grounds, whistling for the Saibamen to follow him over. They carried a piece of glass with them. They found Hachi standing outside of Kairyupin's office. Hachi told Chiaki that the janitor hadn't been around for like half an hour, so they should be good to go. Hachi expressed trepidation, unsure of whether they should go forward with the plan. Chiaki told him to run home if he didn't have the stomach for the operation. He noted that Hachi was nothing like his sister. Hachi wondered if Chiaki had a thing for Chiwan, which the other boy didn't deny. Hachi said he had no chance with her. Chiaki laughed at him, saying that he'd love to date Chiwan if she were down for it.
Changing subjects, Chiaki handed Hachi a rock, asking him to break the office window. Hachi was about to do it when Carawa rushed forward, grunting at them to stop. He melted the window with a ki blast, the sand blowing away in the wind. Ses got rid of the remaining sand with a hand vacuum. Hachi freaked out; Chiaki tried to calm the other boy down, reminding him that they had a job to do. He jumped through the open window, Hachi reluctantly following.
A few minutes later, Hachi and Chiaki returned Kairyupin's papers to her drawers and folders, having not found the answer key. Chiaki texted Chiwan as much. They noticed the janitor's flashlight approaching. In a panic, the boys fled out the open window. The Saibamen replaced the window, although it became immediately apparent that the glass was an inch and a half too short. Chiaki yelled at Hachi for forgetting to measure the part of the glass that went up under the frame. They ran off, jumping the fence. The janitor yelled from behind, seeing something. The Saibamen followed them over the fence soon after.
Chiaki knew Kairyupin would notice what happened to the window, but she wouldn't be able to prove they had done it. He gave the Saibamen cold-pressed 100% organic kiwi juice as a reward, then got out of there.
On June 2nd, the Saibamen relaxed in the backyard while Ledas, Ryori, Chiwan, Chiaki, Hachi, and Tabashi studied inside. After watching the West City Middle School janitor's news report, the old vaping woman peeked over the fence, noticing Wilde, Ame, and Ses enjoying glasses of water in the yard. She later popped up over the fence again, taking pictures of the Saibamen with an old camera.
On the night of June 4th, Jia and the Saibamen watched 90 Day Fiancé. The doorbell rang. Wilde paused the show. The five resumed their show after Ryori came home and went to bed.
On the evening of June 5th, as the sun went down, the Saibamen packed up their chairs and headed inside. The old vaping woman hovered over the fence, recording them with a handheld video camera. She commentated on the Saibamen before swearing she was going to the mayor with her footage. Her camera exploded. From the sliding door, Wilde grinned at her before following his brethren inside.
After Ledas and Ryori left for school the next morning, Jia made a smoothie for the Saibamen. She received a call from Cardinal, excusing herself to the Saibamen's displeasure. When Jia returned to the kitchen a few minutes later, she found the Saibamen finishing up the smoothie before fighting over who would drink it first. Wilde managed to emerge victorious from the scuffle, taking the first drink. Ame came in with a flying kick, knocking him away and drinking the rest of it (although the container had spilled all over the floor). Jia yelled at them, chasing them to the backyard with a broom.
Around noon, a deliverywoman dropped a package off at Ryori and Ledas' house. She noticed Wilde posing in the front yard. Thinking he was a statue, she walked over to take a picture when he sneezed. In a panic, the woman fled to her truck and drove off. Unconcerned, Wilde took up another pose with his arms behind thrust out behind him.
On June 9th, Jia, Ledas, and Wilde were in the kitchen, the former two working on Ledas' history essay. Wilde enjoyed pineapple juice while watching television. Ledas wanted her to add a point about how ineffective King Furry was in defending Earth from the Saiyans. Jia didn't want to, as that could be construed as disrespectful to the monarchy. Ledas didn't back down, asking her if they lived in a free society or a totalitarian regime where one could not speak one's mind. Ryori entered. Jia said Ledas could say whatever he wanted about the king, but his teachers might lower his grade for offending them (without any way of proving it). Ledas refused to remove the line, stating that were it not for the Z Fighters, Earth would've been conquered years ago. Jia didn't want to add that point either, as while correct, Ledas' teachers would think he was acting like a delusional chūnibyō. Ryori agreed with Ledas' assessment, though he thought Ledas might get another detention for speaking badly about King Furry. Ledas didn't care, saying he'd do another afterimage showcase if that happened. However, that'd be two strikes against Ms. Mahobi. Wilde left, having finished his pineapple juice.
Ses, Ame, Wilde, and Carawa played in the backyard while the old vaping woman watched them via a drone. Wilde and Carawa sparred while Ses and Ame sunbathed and drank pineapple juice. The woman streamed her feed on her channel to her followers, ranting about the Saibamen potentially damaging the fence. She read several super chats, continuing to watch the Saibamen spar.
A few minutes later, the Kiseibachi attacked Ledas as he slept in the backyard. The Saibamen, who had also been sleeping in the backyard, noticed their master in distress. Wilde rallied the troops to his defense. Ses caught Ledas' body as it was flung around. He tried to create an energy barrier but wasn't strong enough to prevent the Kiseibach from breaking through. Ame too could not withstand the swarm. Wilde and Carawa faired slightly better, but they were on the back foot. Ledas woke up, not understanding why he couldn't move. Coming to his senses, Ledas felt a deep, protective sense for his Saibamen overcoming him. The Saibamen continued to guard him as best they could. They were bleeding now. Ledas tried with all his might to get up.
Ses and Ame were ripped to shreds by the Kiseibachi, killing them instantly. Screaming in dismay, Ledas used all his strength to break free of the paralysis, rising to the air and releasing an explosive wave that destroyed the remaining Kiseibachi. Ledas gained movement from this, returning to the ground. Wilde and Carawa scampered over to him, crying out for vengeance. Ledas promised them he'd avenge Ses and Ame, closing his eyes, sensing for that place he'd felt his energy before. He promised he'd kill whoever was responsible. Rising into the air, Ledas shot off, flying with grim urgency to Central City.
On June 16th, Wilde and Carawa sparred in the backyard while the old vaping woman filmed them from over the fence, ranting to herself about how horrible they were. As they battled one another, the two began changing into the next Saibaman form. Their bodies turned blue, the force of their transformations knocking the old woman away. Gleefully, the Saibamen rushed off into the bushes, continuing their friendly quarrel.
Shortly before noon the next day, two Jehovah's Witnesses visited Ryori and Ledas' house. Wilde answered the door, startling them. Without speaking, Wilde handed them what looked like a business card from a side table. The card stated there were disfellowshiped individuals living in the house who engaged in sin, fornication, and sodomy. Outraged and horrified, the man dropped the message and ran away, his compatriot hot on his heels. Wilde retrieved the card with a growl before closing the door.
Trivia[]
- Wilde is by far the strongest Saibaman in Ledas' crew.
