The White Tigers was a martial arts school located in Suma (the same town the Crane School was in). They were rivals to the Cranes. Led by Master Mashiro, the White Tigers served as assassins and hitmen. Their signature techniques were the Denkoken and Gisakkou. In Age 752, their conflict against the Cranes reached its peak, leading to the deaths of all members of the school.
History[]
In Age 752, the White Tigers began having more and more conflicts with the Crane School. They competed for bounties in the region, trying to steal them from one another. At some point, a Ƶ500,000,000 bounty for a Makyan named Togarashi located on the far southern island of Akki caught their attention. The students went down there to claim it despite their master telling them not to. They allied with the New Red Ribbon Army briefly to perform the mission. In the ensuing battle, Shumi was killed and the others barely got away. The Makyan had proven to be far too powerful.
Master Shen and Master Mashiro devised a tournament between the schools to serve as practice before the next World Martial Arts Tournament. During that bout, Tien won, though the Tigers managed to knock Paik, Jaoros, Chiaotzu, and Yurin out of the ring. Afterward, the Tigers became far more bitter, swearing that they'd kill the Cranes the next time they crossed paths.
Mashiro went down to Akki to avenge Shumi. Shen stalked him the whole way. He came across Togarashi and a great battle took place. The Tiger Hermit was quickly put in his place. Shen joined the fray, helping him defeat Togarashi with two Tri-Beams. Then, Shen executed the tired and wounded Mashiro. He wrote a letter to the rest of the Tigers informing them of what had happened. When they received it in their hospital room (they were still recovering from the practice tournament), they doubled down on their efforts to kill the Cranes.
Valentia Milano, a wealthy woman from Orange Star City, offered them the best medical treatment in the world as a means to help them recover faster than the Cranes. The Cranes had killed her sister G.P. Milano sometime beforehand. She wanted nothing less than to see the Cranes annihilated. The kids accepted her treatment and were able to fully recover within two weeks while the Cranes were still tending to their broken bones.
The Tigers ambushed the Cranes in the ruins of the Ootaji Temple on the outskirts of Suma. There, Huo-Guo, Zadich, and Paik died during the fight. Jaoros and Zhajiang fled. Zhajiang tracked Jaoros down to the Khaffi train station where he ended the boy's life brutally with an exploding Gisakkou.
Zhajiang waited before attacking Tien, as he knew the man was stronger than him. He honed his skills on additional bounties until he came across a Ƶ50,000,000 for Elijah, the daimyo of the Iboinoshishi School. When Zhajiang attacked him in Cardan just after midnight, the man held his ground, pushing him back, which shocked the boy (all the other samurai bounties up to this point had been no issue). His Denkokens were ineffective. The man was able to slice off both of his arms and puncture his chest, killing him, before he was able to use his Gisakkou again. With that, the School of the White Tigers officially ceased to exist.
