Verlate's mind prison is a pyramid-shaped device that housed Verlate in Dragon Ball Z: The Forgotten. Even though the inside of the mind prison is only shown in the sixth and final saga of The Forgotten, the mind prison makes cameo appearances in the fourth and fifth sagas as well.

History[]

Verlate was placed in her mind prison in Forever Alone after allowing her power to be stolen by a primitive Kai. After that Kai used her powers to nearly destroy his species, Verlate was blamed. She was given a trial by Sertung. At the conclusion of the trial, she was sentenced to eternity in a mind prison. After hundreds of millions of years in seclusion, her mind prison was found by Korin. Both Ledas and Guva were drawn to her mind prison while at Korin Tower, though neither was sucked in at the time. When Yajirobe later went to go give the Z Fighters some senzu beans, Korin threw Verlate's mind prison into the back of his car. As to why he did this, no one can be certain. Perhaps he knew that someone would open it and cause The Benefactor to be sucked in.

The Benefactor did eventually get sucked in, though Ledas did as well. The two of them fought off some of Verlate's thoughts while in her mind prison, which eventually culminated in her meeting them. She tried to trade places with them (forcing them to stay in the prison while she escaped), but this was ineffective. Then, she tried to get them to voluntarily trade places with her through a game of riddles. This was also ineffective. Realizing the hopelessness of her situation, Verlate committed suicide.

The Benefactor and Ledas then fought one another in an attempt to get out of the mind prison. Ledas eventually outsmarted his opponent and was able to escape. After he got out, he tried to return the pyramid to Korin. Korin rejected the offer. He gave Ledas full possession over the antique. Thereafter, Ledas kept the pyramid locked up in his house.

When Ledas decided to go and explore some planets across the galaxy in the beginning of Dragon Ball: Cold Vengeance, he took the pyramid with him. He eventually lost it somewhere on Niflheim. On his way back to Earth in a Mrovian transport with Chaiva, he remembered that he had left the device on that planet. They took a detour to Niflheim, where Ledas destroyed the planet from the upper atmosphere with a Razorhail attack. The blast destroyed Nilfheim, but likely did not destroy Verlate's mind prison.

It is unknown if other Damani mind prisons still exist around the universe. Considering how durable they are, it is somewhat possible.
