The Loneliness of Kakarot (キャロットの孤独) is a what if fanfiction by Zeon1 (aka MrFluffman's new username). It details the events if Goku (known as Kakarot in this story), had completed his mission after several years, and then went on to seek revenge on Frieza. Basically rewrites the whole Dragon Ball story.
Planet Earth Saga[]
PART ONE[]
It was calm and peaceful on Planet Earth. However, peace is not the dominant state, and soon, this peace would come crashing down on all humans' heads.
A space pod came screaming out of the sky, hurling itself down to Earth as if God had thrown a rock from Heaven. It ripped through the foliage of a few trees before crashing to a halt on the place known as Earth.
Steam rippled and swirled around the pod, the heat reaching nearly unbareable levels in the blast zone. Slowly, a being pulled himself out. He was about five years old, with spiky hair and a tail. He looked around, as if wondering what there was to be held on this planet.
Suddenly his mission came to mind, and he quickly leaped into the air, flying over the large tropical forest. He raised his hand, and energy pooled. He then thrust it forward, sending it towards the forest. In a matter of minutes, the forest was in flames.
The boy slowed, then looked at his handiwork. He shook his head, then set several cities nearby on fire. He then flew in and dispatched several citizens. Oddly, he was not taking much pleasure from this experience, but orders where orders.
After several more days of doing this, the boy decided to let several groups of humans live. He went into semi-hiding, allowing himself to grow. Remarkably, he began to regret what he did. The boy's name was Kakarot.
