The Legendary Seal - is a millenia-old location and monument located on Earth. It is known among the four Sacred Schools of Earth to harbor "incredible power", and that those who are able to break the seal will receive said power.

Located on Earth, the Legendary Seal is a large, stone structure in the shape of a square, and with four pillars placed on each end. On the flat surface of the structure, in front of the pillars, are four symbols, each surrounding a much larger fifth symbol. The secret of the seal was originally revealed to the monk, Shimenawa, who passed on its secrets, both in writing and in an art tapestry, to his followers. It was also known to Earth's kami, as it was passed on to each guardian before eventually reaching Kami, who Piccolo received the knowledge from as well, and Dende, Kami's successor. This knowledge eventually reached Coffee, who himself was eventually able to use said knowledge to commune with the spirit within the seal. Coffee eventually used this knowledge to establish the eventual creation and foundation of what would become the Four Sacred Schools of Martial Arts.
Like his predecessor, Coffee also passed on knowledge of the seal to his students, though the seal's true purpose was eventually lost to time. Eventually, it's knowledge reached that of two of the sacred school masters, the Wolf master Maccha, and the Serpent master Kyonshi. While Maccha opted to continue to the tradition of educating his pupils as to the purpose of the seal, Kyonshi became obsessed with breaking the seal, driven to do so by the rumored power contained within. This eventually led to conflicts between the two schools, though it is unknown if either the Turtle master, Muten Roshi, or the Crane master, Shen, are aware of the seal's existence or purpose. After many years, Kyonshi was successful in his goal, though it is revealed that the true purpose of the seal was to lock away a dangerous presence, an avatar of the Dai-Kaioshin named Heiwa.
