The Father of Goku is the 84th chapter of Dragon Ball Advanced and the 2nd chapter of the Super Bardock Saga and the 11th volume "The Father of Goku".

Plot[]

Dial arrived at the Time Nest where he is greeted by Future Trunks and Chronoa. Dial told Chronoa that Age 753 and Age 750 were ready to be fixed. Dial was confused as Future Trunks took him to meet the new recruits.

Dial was introduced to Caulifla, Kale and his sibling-student Cabba. Caulifla attempted to challenge Dial but Future Trunks forbade them from battling in the Time Nest. The three of them were recruited by Chronoa to help protect history as well as the coming threat. Dial asked Future Trunks where Vegeta was as he wished to resume his training. However, Future Trunks told there isn't time to train at the moment.

Chronoa erased all the alterations to Age 750 and Age 753 before approaching the Dragon Pedestal with an damaged Full Battle Armor once worn by Vegeta and a sketchbook. She summoned Face and first held up the Saiyan Armor to him. Chronoa first requested for Face to create a soul for the armour. She then asked for Face to gave the Armor the ability to transform into either a Human-type Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza's Race, or Majin complete with their genetic abilities of each race.

She requested as an add-on to her second wish that the armour could become either a female or male Human-type Earthling, male or female Saiyan, or a male or female Majin. Face granted the wish, however, Chronoa requested more before she ended the connection. She asked Ace after using Face to name the armour that to transform but Face reminded her that she only wished it to have a soul but not a conscious - so Chronoa wished Face to it so it can learn and understand her and others.

Later, Chronoa asked Face to bring Pend to life. She, Ace, and Pend approached the Time Patrollers and introduced them to the others. Pend struggled to see his own name as did Ace as he stood in his female Earthling form. Chronoa told them that intends to have Krillin train and teach Ace while Goku and Chi-Chi will do the same for Pend.

Chronoa asked Future Trunks to take the two to the Rooms of Spirit and Time while she spoke with Caulifla, Kale, Cabba, and Dial. She revealed that Bardock went missing during the destruction of Planet Vegeta and showed them what she meant. As Frieza's Supernova made contact with Bardock - a Time Portal opened behind him and he is forced through it. However, Chronoa claims that she cannot locate him. Dial asked her if he ended up in a different world altogether as Demigra mentioned to him about coming from a Parallel World.

Chronoa took Dial words into account and went into the Time Nest. She came back with what she called a Scroll of Breaching and stated that she never figured out how to work it. Tokitoki flew over to the scroll and began beating its wings at the scroll. A massive light exploded from the scroll and crashed into the Time Nest. Chronoa was confused at first before telling everyone to go into the building.

She looked through the Parallel Worlds and learned that Demigra is from another World where he battled with another version of the Time Patrol against a Parallel World version of Mechikabura. She finally found the Parallel World that Bardock landed in and noted it as a world that the Saiyans never inhabited nor conquered and referred to it as the Ancient Planet Plant. She charged the four of them with the tasked to find out what and why was going on and to stop it if they can. Cabba declared that they'll head out right away and they all prepare to go into battle.

As the four flew through the Gate - Cabba began to lag behind. A hand reached out and grabbed Cabba's ankle and as he called out for help - Caulifla attempted to help him but they were both pulled away. Caulifla told Kale to stay with Dial as she attempted to grab Caulifla and continue with Chronoa's orders. They are both pulled out of the Breach and are thrown on the ground near Pilaf's Castle as they witness Bulma, Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong running from a rampaging Great Ape Goku. After Caulifla witnessed Pilaf and his goons crash - the owner of the hand revealed himself as Tick and was told that he has orders to stop them from reaching Bardock.

Dial at the Time Nest

Future Trunks: Hey Dial!
Chronoa: Yo! How'd you go?
Dial: Age 753 and Age 750 are ready to be fixed.
Chronoa: I'll get right on that while Future Trunks introduces you to a couple of people.
Dial: Huh?
Future Trunks: Right this way. (After taking him over to the Universe 6 Saiyans). Dial, I want you to meet a couple of Saiyans from Universe 6. This is Cabba, Kale and...
Caulifla: The name's Caulifla. So you're the guy that saved history?
Dial: Um... yeah. I did.
Caulifla: You must be strong. How about you show me?
Future Trunks: I'm sorry - but you cannot battle in the Time Nest. It's too dangerous. You were recruited to help protection history and stop the coming threat - not endanger history.
Caulifla: Fine.
Dial: Trunks, where's your father I wish to resume training.
Future Trunks: They'll be time for training later Dial. Right now there's more a pressing issue.

Chronoa summons Face.

Face: Summoned me again Chronoa? Alright, make your wishes.
Chronoa: Sorry to disturb. Firstly, could you create a soul for this old Armour piece?
Face: It may require me to seek assistance but it shall be done.
Chronoa: Next I would you to give the Armour the ability to transform into either a Human-type Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, or Majin with full access to the abilities of its transformations.
Face: So it would access to the genetic traits of Saiyan, Earthling, Frieza's Race, Namekian, or Majin whenever it takes one of the forms?
Chronoa: Yes, please.
Face: Alright. I shall grant the wish.
Chronoa: (After the wish is made) To add on to that wish could you make it so that this armor can transform into either gender of each respective race except Namekian and Frieza Race.
Face: Namekians are inherently Genderless so that would be excluded from your wish. Would you like it to have a different appearance for each gender?
Chronoa: Yes, please.
Face: Very well. You wish shall be granted. You have granted three wishes from the pedestal would you like to make more or may I rest?
Chronoa: Just a few more, please.

Ace is born

Chronoa: Could you make the universe know that this Armor's name from now on is Ace?
Face: Very well. Your wish is granted.
Chronoa: Ace transform.
Face: Um - you only wished for it to have a soul not a conscious.
Chronoa: Oh (after a slight giggle). Could you please give it a conscious so it can understand me and any else that talks to it as well as learn like any other sentient being?
Face: Done.

Pend is born

Chronoa: Next could your study this draw in this sketchbook like you did with Dial's and then bring Pend to life as it is written in the sketchbook.
Face: Very well - give me a moment. (After Face studied the book).

Dial meets Ace and Pend.

Chronoa: I'm back and I got additional recruits. This is Pend and this is Ace.
Pend: Pe...nd?
Ace: A...ce?
Future Trunks: Looks like they're going to need a little help like Dial did.
Dial: You used Face to make these two didn't you?
Chronoa: Yes - you could say that this two are your siblings. And yes, so I've asked a couple of people to help them with their growth.
Future Trunks: Like who?
Chronoa: I asked Krillin to train and teach Ace, and Goku and Chi-Chi to do the same for Pend. In any case there is another problem that I need to raise with each other you. Trunks could you take Pend and Ace over to the Rooms of Spirit and Time.
Future Trunks: Shouldn't I stay to hear what's going on?
Chronoa: I'll tell you after.

The Father of Goku

Chronoa: The issue that we need to talk about is Goku's father.
Dial: Goku's father?
Chronoa: Correct. (As Dial and others view the Scroll of Destiny) As you can see as soon as Frieza's attack made contact with Bardock - a Time Portal opened behind him and he went through it but after that, he disappeared altogether.
Dial: (After he finished viewing the Scroll). Demigra once said something about parallel and alternate worlds. You don't think he could've ended up in one of those?
Chronoa: A Parallel World? I've heard of the theory but I never thought it would be true. I'll be right back. (After she returns with the Scroll of Breaching).
Cabba: What's that?
Chronoa: It's the Scroll of Breaching - I was given it but I've never figured how it worked.
Tokitoki: Kiiii! (Tokitoki flew over to the Scroll and beats its wings at)
Chronoa: I don't how you did that but there isn't time. (As she viewed the other Worlds) This is crazy - Demigra's from a Parallel World where he helped a different version of me against Mechikabura? I know Demigra seemed different back then. (After finding the World that Bardock was sent to). There! It seems Bardock was sent to a world where Planet Plant was never taken over by the Saiyans nor inhabited by them. And it seems - the world also shows that it looks like the Ancient version of Planet Plant.
Dial: What should we do?
Chronoa: You four will go to this Parallel World and investigate what's going on. Since it's another World my jurisdiction on Time and laws of Time won't apply but since Bardock is of our World - it's our responsibility to save him.
Cabba: Right! We'll head out right away!

Stranded in Age 749

Chronoa: Right I've programmed these Gates to take you to the Parallel Word so try not to get separated and report back to me if you can.
All: Right. (Each of them fly through the Gate).
Chronoa: Please be safe.
Dial: Hey Cabba - you're lagging behind their buddy.
Cabba: Sorry it feels something is pulling me back... (Tick's hand grabs Cabba's ankle) Hey!!
Caulifla: Cabba! I got you! (Caulifla tries to save him) Whatever has got ahold you is stronger I can't get you free.
Kale: Sis!
Caulifla: No! Stay with Dial, Kale! I help Cabba - you just focus on helping Dial!
Kale: Right! But sis, be saf... (Caulifla and Cabba disappear into the void)
Yamcha: (As he is caring Bulma, Oolong and Puar) You guys need to move faster!!
Pilaf: Wh...What was... that thing...
Tick: So you landed in this era. (After Tick reveals himself) The name's Tick and it is my objective to stop you from reaching Bardock.
