The Benefactor's knife is a weapon used by The Benefactor. Out of all of Dragon Ball Z: The Forgotten, it is the most important weapon and item featured. It is responsible for the deaths of numerous named characters, and is used by The Benefactor in fights against at least 5 main characters.

History[]

The Benefactor's knife originally belonged to his mother, as seen in Outbreak: Paved In Blood. When The Benefactor first saw it, his mother was cutting herself with it. Later, he stole the knife and became obsessed with blood. The Benefactor was surprised by the knife after he took it, as it was of much higher quality than he would have expected; clearly, it was no simple cooking knife. He speculated that it was his father's or a gift that someone gave his mother to protect herself. He later used it to take out some soldiers on his home planet; as well, he gave it to Master Loriphim after taking psychic control of him. Loriphim then used the knife to kill his own daughter and then himself.

When King Vegeta led the Saiyans against Frieza in the finale of the Prince Vegeta Saga of The Forgotten, The Benefactor used his knife to brutally mutilate and kill Layeeck in front of Frieza. Frieza was so appalled by the grotesqueness of The Benefactor that he then attempted to executed the Iyxan. While the execution was not successful, it did get The Benefactor off of Frieza's ship.

The Benefactor was later captured by the Kai, Lauto. The two ended up battling one another to the death - The Benefactor fighting for his freedom, and Lauto fighting to get a new body. The fight ended with The Benefactor stabbing Lauto with his knife and then killing him with an energy attack.

Later in the story, The Benefactor forced Guva to draw out the Z Fighters on Earth. After the governor did what he was supposed to, The Benefactor swiftly disposed of him by throwing his knife at the purple alien and killing him.

The Benefactor also used his knife in a fight against Vegeta, though the wound did not kill the Saiyan Prince. Ledas was able to get a senzu bean to Vegeta and heal him before the knife-wound could do any kill him.

The Benefactor used his knife for the final time against Ledas in their last duel within Verlate's mind prison.
