The Shunko Onsen was a solitary onsen located in the mountains northeast of Fortuneteller Baba's Palace. Founded and owned by a tiger named Jar Tur, the onsen flourished for fifteen or so years before seeing a sharp decline in customers and revenue. Thereafter, Jar Tur began running a little scam to make people pay to stay at his onsen, leading to an eventual encounter with Goku.
History[]
At some point prior to the events of The Shunko Onsen, Jar Tur caught all five of the serving girls in his trap, with Ren being the newest addition.
In Age 750, during the events of The Shunko Onsen, Goku stayed one night at the onsen. When Jar Tur learned that the boy could not pay for his room and board, however, he demanded Goku work there until he paid off his debts. The argument led to a scuffle, wherein Goku accidentally killed Jar Tur, freeing the five servant girls. The onsen closed the next day, with the girls selling the property to a South City businessman.
