Ryugon (アイヤト) is a member of Zarbon's replacement team after Ledas and Vegeta killed Zarbon's previous team. His name is a pun on the longan fruit.
Physical appearance[]
To simply put it, Ryugon looks like an oversized dragonfly standing on its hind legs, possessing a thin body with an abdominal "tail," a pair of long wings, a pair of short antennae, and six legs. The four forelimbs each possesses claws that can be used to cut into Ryugon's opponents. The shell on his back is gold in color while the rest of his exoskeleton is a dark brown. His two large compound eyes are of an orange-yellow. His Battle Armor is of the pauldron variant and is sky-blue trimmed with a darker blue. His scouter is orange-yellow.
Biography[]
After his team of elites is killed by Vegeta and Ledas, Zarbon receives a replacement team led by Buto, consisting also of Ryugon, Clen, and Ayato. Ryugon and his team are initially assigned to assassinate the crime lord Tenrin who ruled a criminal empire on Planet Frieza 184, but the mission was then given to Chaiva, Cuber, and several other Saiyan children.
Upon the commencement of the Saiyan genocide, Ryugon and his team are sent to Planet Frieza 114 to kill Ocra and the Saiyan children she is supervising. By the time Zarbon's elites arrive, the children had already escaped the planet while Ocra chose to stay behind. Clen fights Ocra and is briefly defeated; before the Saiyan can react, Ayato finishes her off with a Full Power Energy Wave Volley. After Ocra's death, Ryugon and his team are able to track the Saiyan children through Cuber's scouter.
When Ryugon and his team arrive on the planet the Saiyans land on, Ryugon goes after Priyep and his gang and targets Tinpern first, carrying the Saiyan away and clawing into his back. When Tinpern ceases his struggle, Ryugon drops him and turns his attention to the other two Saiyans. Priyep and Sheliv attack Ryugon with energy wave volleys, prompting the dragonfly-like alien to respond with a volley of his own, pinning Sheliv down. Priyep, who is stronger however, continues to goes after Ryugon. At the conclusion of the brief close quarters fight, Priyep incapacitates Ryugon by tearing out his antennae, and then vaporizes the alien with a point-blank energy wave.
Abilities[]
- Claws – Ryugon possesses sharp claws on the tips of his limbs. He can use all of his claws to rend the flesh of his enemies.
- Continuous Energy Bullet – A barrage of energy bolts, fired from alternating palms – Ryugon's energy waves are blue-white in color.
- Flight – The ability to use wings and/or ki to fly
