Rougahameha (Wolf Fang Destruction Wave) - is an energy wave technique created and used by Yamcha in the fan comic, Dragon Ball Z Elsewhere.
Overview[]
The Rougahameha is formed when the user's hands are placed in a fashion similarly to that of the Kamehameha, however, with a subtle difference. Rather than the palms and fingers facing in the same direction, the user's fingers are placed facing the opposite direction to one another. Ki (energy) is then gathered from within the user's palms, before expanding outward, encompassing the user's hands. Once fully charged, the user swipes their hands from one side of their body to the other, launching the gathered ki forward. The energy wave is then split into five separate beams, each one stacked atop the other. The beams create consecutive explosions upon impact. When fired, the user's aura takes on the image of a wolf. However, the true damage of the Rougahameha isn't caused from the resulting explosion, but by the cutting power of the waves of energy, which slice through an opponent's extremities.
Usage[]
The Roughameha is developed by Yamcha after completing his training to fully master the Wolf Fang Fist technique. Therefore, it incorporates the cutting aspects of the true Wolf Fang Fist into the Kamehameha energy wave. The technique has only been used once so far, during Yamcha's battle with Android #21 (Dr. Gero) in the Otherworld. It is unknown if the other members of the Wolf school, Yunomi, Barracks, and Pigero, will eventually learn the technique as well. Though they have been taught the advanced form of the Wolf Fang Fist technique as well.
Upon seeing the technique while watching Yamcha's fight against Dr. Gero, Goku is able to tell the distinction in the technique compared to the Kamehameha almost immediately. Olibu, one of King Kaio's strongest fighters and Earth's legendary hero, describes the technique as being like a guillotine from heaven. Gero himself is momentarily stunned by the damage inflicted from the technique, and his inability to absorb it.
Appearance[]
The Rougahameha typically takes on the same color as the user's ki when using other energy-based techniques. In Yamcha's case, his takes on a whitish-blue color. It can theoretically be utilized in conjunction with ki-boosting techniques, like the Kaioken, which Yamcha frequently utilized in his fight with Dr. Gero as well, in order to counter the latter's energy absorption ability.
