History[edit | edit source]
Rig Installation was, at one time, a vanadium mining facility for Cooler's empire. It supplied vanadium to be used in the armored alloys of the empire's space ships. When the Planet Trade Organization rebels started harassing Cooler's empire, they attacked the mining facility and took it over. There after, they kept only a small number of soldiers on the former mining platforms. In Dragon Ball Z: The Forgotten, The Plantains were able to track the rebels back to this planet. The entire group, sans Banas, then sieged the mining facilities. With the help of armies of Saibamen, The Plantains were able to overcome their foes. Ledas killed the installation commander, Lenomi, and then The Plantains destroyed the planet and returned home. Guva later remarked that they should not have destroyed the planet and that Cooler would be displeased.
The planet itself was an ice world filled with mechanized anti-gravity mining platforms. The place was extremely cold, and the Planet Trade Organization operators rarely left their rigs or planet-side outposts. Much of the planet's surface was covered in craters and irregular cracks, courtesy of the deep-surface mining.

- Rig Installation 063 is frequented by heavy snowstorms to the point where it is unsafe to ever go outside. The Planet Trade Organization members (and later rebels) almost never left the safety and warmth of their rigs and outposts because of this.
