The Raditz Saga is the Twelfth story of Dragonball Revision and the First arc of the saiyan saga. It involves the mysterious being called "Raditz" coming to earth in order to recruit "Kakarot" into the Freeza force. It appears that he is connected to Goku in a familial sense and also has the key to discovering about Goku's true heritage.

Story[]

A FULL Year has passed since the Defeat of the Androids and the ultimate destruction of the red ribbon army.

A Mysterious space-pod races through the solar system and eventually crash lands in a field known as the spinach farm in Southern Ontario, Canada. A Farmer that works in the field hurries to the crash site with a rifle in hand and Inspects the crater, although he becomes startled when the space pod opens and a strange tall man emerges from inside. He has long black spiky hair, brown fur identical to Goku’s and a tail wrapped around his waist.

This mysterious alien man climbs out of the crater and Looks around the area. He notes that this planet is actually quite beautiful, although he is quite annoyed that there are still inhabitants on this planet and questions why “Kakarot” hasn’t fulfilled his mission. The scared Farmer nervously warns the alien that He's on his Property, which catches his attention. He presses a button on a strange device attached to her left ear and finds out that the farmer has only a mere power level of "5". The man panic’s as the alien approaches him and shoots a bullet towards him, although the Alien easily catches it with ease. He inspects the bullet and then Proceeds to crush it with his hand. The Farmer is panicked and is about to run away, but the alien easily knocks him out cold with a simple and swift neck chop. He shakes his hand and claims that it would’ve been just a waste of time to kill him. Just then, the man’s device beeps loudly and detects a high power level of “594”. He expects this “disappointing” power level is the so-called “Kakarot” and flies of towards it.

Meanwhile, King Piccolo is currently meditating in some dark temple supposedly called the Nemuria ruins. The sound of a miniature waterfall and occasional rustling of sand fills the area with a peaceful vibe. However, that is quickly disturbed as an Explosion tears a hole in the ceiling and awakes King Piccolo. The Alien woman from before jumps down through the hole and stares at King piccolo, Who isn't very impressed that someone interrupted his "me time". The alien says that he believed to have found Kakarot, but never expected to find a simple Namekian on this planet. This understandably confuses King Piccolo and he also feels like he's heard that name before, although he immediately disregards it and demands to know this visitor's name after seeing his striking resemblance to Goku. He believes that his name is not important right now, before scanning Piccolo's power level (which is 594).

King Piccolo is annoyed by his flippant attitude and says that he has no intention of fighting him, although the Alien claims that he doesn't care. In retaliation, King Piccolo unleashes a powerful explosive wave towards the man. It is then quickly revealed that the attack had done barely any damage and the man stands there unimpressed, claiming that it was a rude gesture. He is about to respond with an energy attack, although his scouter detects a Surprisingly low battle power of "400" from far away. The most surprising aspect is that its coming from above the clouds and seems to be Fluxating. He initially believes his scouter is malfunctioning and decides to investigate this phenomenon by flying away, with an Agitated King Piccolo deciding to follow behind.

1 Year ago, Goku was still doing his training on the lookout whilst His family enjoyed their dinner. Kami and Mr. Popo has also joined in with this feast, with Kami only drinking the water and juice available. It appears that earth was now at peace with the threat of Alien neighbours and Internal Machines having been dealt with before they got out of hand. Gohan had even joined in and Mimicked her fathers actions, until She was called inside for her bedtime by Suno. That is when Kami goes over to Goku and Gives a Proposition. He apologizes To goku for making him wait, before recalling that he mentioned higher gods that he could train with. Goku questions why he's bringing that up, with Kami claiming that he believes that Goku has far surpassed his training by this point and decides that its time for Goku to train with the one called “King Kai”.

Goku is excited about this brand new god and then is interrupted by Suno, asking them if something is going on. Goku reveals that hes going to train with a god called “King Kai”, which confuses Suno. Kami gives a brief explanation to the both of them about the being, who was a powerful guardian that watched over the northern quadrant of this Universe. He also knows some crazy techniques that Goku could learn as well, which makes Goku even more excited. Suno is a bit angry about the prospect of Goku leaving her for a long time, but reluctantly agrees with the compromise that he can go in the morning. The Next day, Goku gets ready to leave for King Kai whilst Suno and Gohan wave him goodbye for now. Goku promises that he shouldn’t be gone too long and he will return as soon as he can, before kami teleports the both of them to a strange large room.

Goku looked around the room and noticed just how tall it truly was, claiming that Planet Mercury could fit in here. He looked around more and found them in front of a very long line with many beings waiting patiently to be registered for something, with Goku noticing that they have a strange yellow circle above their heads. He is then interrupted by a loud booming voice that forced the room silently, with everyone turning their attention to an extremely large being that called himself “King Yemma”. He demanded to know why the Earth's Guardian had brought an Alive person to the realm of the afterlife, with Kami explaining about his proposition to train with King Kai. Yemma initially laughs at this idea, but decides to try it out after Goku showcases his impressive skills against his testing guards.

King Yemma allows Goku into heaven as an Ogre leads him to the mythical Snake-way, which is claimed to be approximately 10 Million KM in length. Goku asks if anyone has gone through Snake-way before, with the Ogre claiming that only King Yemma And Mr. Popo having come back from the treacherous journey. Goku accepts the challenge and Manifests his Nuova form, before racing off at incredible speeds down the winding highway. Despite his energy reserves, Goku soon gets tired and manifests his Nuova form to fly the rest of the distance. It then appears that the Snake-way has no end in sight and he decides to take a rest for the moment. After Goku’s stamina recovers, he gets into a few shenanigans involving almost being dragged down to hell by phantom-like hands and the entire Princess snake subplot.

Eventually, Goku reaches the end of Snake-way and seems confused as he can’t see King Kai.. He looks around for a short while until he spots a big planetoid up above, which he suspects to be where the Kai resides. He manifests his Nuova form and uses his dragon wings to fly up the planet, but suddenly crashes to the Planetoids ground after entering its atmosphere. He struggles to even stand up from the insane pressure and his wings are practically immobile, forcing him to revert back to his base form to avoid further injury. That is when a Monkey approaches him with curiosity. Goku Initially confuses him for King Kai, until the actual one shows up and Introduces himself.

King Kai is relatively surprised by Goku’s appearance as he was supposed to expect a Human, with Goku claiming that he is a human. King Kai corrects and instead reveals that goku is a “saiyan”, which only serves to confuse him more. This stuns King Kai and he decides to ask if Goku lost his memory. Goku then states that he did supposedly hit his head as a child and it seemingly changed his personality according to Kami. King Kai now believes the situation and recognizes that Goku has suffered memory loss. He decides to ask if Goku would like an explanation, but Goku dosen't seem to care too much about his origins. He already learned about him being an alien from kami and claims that hes not too interested in his past.

Regardless, King Kai says that he must pass two tests if he wants to train with him, which Goku accepts. King Kai’s first test is to chase his pet monkey “bubbles” and catch him, which is supposed to make Goku adjust to the high gravity. It takes a long while (Specifically 5 days with rest Inbetween) and Goku initially struggles to move around, but he eventually manages to adjust and easily catches the pet monkey. King Kai congratulates him for conquering the first test and now he must pass the ultimate test, which is to “Make him Laugh!”. Goku struggles to think of a good joke until he does the classic “You can’t TUNA Fish”, which makes King Kai burst out laughing.

That Punny Joke allows Goku to now train under King Kai. Particularly, King Kai wants to teach Goku in the arts of his two special techniques: the Spirit Bomb and the “KAIOKEN”.

The training is very intense and goes on for an entire year. First, Goku learns how to perform the spirit bomb in the span of 4 months. He raises his fist upwards and begins to gather energy from the surrounding life, whilst also manipulating his own pure energy into his fist. It takes many failed attempts, but he eventually manages to properly do it and pure white matter glows around his fist. King Kai throws a large cube brick towards Goku, who tosses the energy straight at the brick and destroys it. The Next step is to learn the Kaioken. It is a rather strenuous technique as it requires pure focus and Multiples a users ki in the sense of a “heartbeat” (whatever that means) to increase their speed/power, although it can completely destroy your body and could even kill you if used in continuous bursts. This one is particularly hard to learn, but Goku eventually manages in the end and even pushes it to “Kaio-ken x3”.

Back in the Present, The Group are continuing their daily activities and wait patiently for Goku to return. Kami should’ve known that making someone like Goku a guardian was a bad mistake, but it's too late to turn back that clock now. Suno claims that he's got a lot to answer for when he returns, whilst Gohan plays with Mr. Popo in the background. Just then, Kami senses an Incredible power heading towards them and alerts the duo to hide as it feels malicious. Suno is about to comply with Kami’s request, until that strange alien man from before lands directly in front of them. They seem to recognize that this man has a few similar features to Goku like his Tail and fur, with The man likewise noticing that Kami is another Namekian.

King Kai is looking upon the earth using his divinity and finds that another “saiyan” has arrived on earth. He demands that Goku heads back to earth now as another one of his kind has shown up at the Lookout, seemingly with the intent of harming them. Goku springs to his feet and thanks King Kai for his training, before racing off at high speeds towards the other-world check-in station.

Meanwhile, the man presses a button on his scouter and realizes that no-one has a high battle power. He demands to know where “Kakarot” is, which stuns the group. Suno claims that they don’t know anyone named kakarot. The man doesn't seem happy about that answer and claims that he detected a high battle power from this location that most likely belonged to kakarot. Kami decides to speak up and claims that they know someone that looks similar to the man, before describing his appearance. The Man’s face beams with recognition and he states that is what Kakarot looks like, before demanding where he is. Kami says that GOKU is currently training with a deity named King Kai and should be coming back now, which Confuses the man.

Just then, the mans scouter beeps as he detects a high power heading towards them from above. Everyone looks to see that Goku has returned. He lands down on the Lookout and loos back at everyone; thankful that they are still safe. Goku then goes to confront the man, who seems happy that Kakarot has finished his little exercises. Goku demands to know who he is and why they look similar, which confuses the man. He questions if Kakarot's forgotten his own family and Goku claims that he dosen’t know him. The Man sighs in disappointment and asks if Kakarot lost his memory or something and Goku confirms that he did supposedly. The Man decides to explain about Goku’s true origins.

He explains that his name is Raditz and He is Kakarot’s elder Brother, with their parents being known as Bardock and Gine. They were born on the cold Planet known as "Sadala" in this Galaxy. This also explains why goku and other Saiyans have fur on their bodies as it was an evolutionary adaptation to keep themselves warm on the harsh cold planet (also because i wanted to give Saiyans a bit of redesign in order for them to stand out amongst humans). They are both members of the Rnak-3 species known as "Saiyans", who are feared and powerful warrior species predominantly ruled by woman. However, the Saiyan Population was reduced to only 100 after their planet was destroyed by a Tyrannical emperor known as "Freeza". The Remaining Saiyans known reside on a New planet ruled by "King Vegeta III". Raditz further claims that Goku was sent away to planet earth just a month before the planets destruction in order to eliminate its inhabitants.

Everyone is pretty surprised by this revelation, especially Goku. He already knew that he was an alien and tells Raditz about that, which makes the saiyan smirk in satisfaction. Raditz confirms that he came for Kakarot in order to bring him back to Planet Vegeta and become a part of the greater empire. However, Goku heavily refuses to join Raditz and seemingly rejects his saiyan heritage. Goku says that he is now an earthling and he has a great peaceful life here, before saying that Raditz can do the same. Raditz scoffs at Goku’s words and claims that this planet really has made him soft, before saying that he will now have to die. This then prompts Raditz to notice Gohan’s tail and he thinks of a better idea.

Goku has no time to react as he is struck in the stomach by a powerful knee strike from Raditz, which makes him fall to the ground in pain. Gohan attempts to fight back against Raditz, but she is effortlessly defeated as well and is snatched by Raditz. The saiyan then flies upwards and makes an Ultimatum towards Goku. Kill at least 1000 people before sunset or his daughter perishes. Gohan cries out for her father. Goku and Suno yell for Raditz to give their daughter back, but its already too late as Raditz flies off to his spacepod down below.

After the two calm down, The group decide to make a few suggestions on taking Raditz down. Kami denies that they could use the dragon balls since they are still on re-charge and won’t be available for the next 2 weeks. Goku, who is holding a crying suno, is pondering about something and then gets an idea. He notes that Raditz possesses a very strong energy signature, but states that it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Kami asks what he means and Goku says that he is actually stronger than Raditz at his full power, but only by a slight margin. His martial arts technique should be at least enough to beat Raditz, but it is properly for the best to expect the unexpected. Everyone waves off Goku as he manifests his Nuova form and flies away using his wings.
