Pukcoläsic (プッコーラシック, Pukkōrashikku) is an alien of unknown origin. A universe famous slave-gladiator, in Age 767, he staged a rebellion that brought about the end of the Galactrix Arena. Thereafter, he carved out a kingdom for him and the other former pit fighters. Kuriza captured him and wiped out his kingdom shortly afterwards. Then, he was added as a member of the boy's Katchiguri Force, along with Aranya, Dhuak, and Kracchus.
He is featured as a secondary character in Dragon Ball: Heart of the Dragon.
Overview[]
Appearance[]
Pukcoläsic is a short, yellow-scaled lizard alien. He is lithe, with a long, thin tail. His eyes are a light shade of yellow, and he is hairless. After joining the Katchiguri Force, he wore yellow and white Planet Trade Organization armor with black trimming. His scouter is red. His aura is green-yellow.
Personality[]
Pukco is a calm, but ruthless individual. He never seems to get temperamental or flustered. A decisive and cunning warrior, Pukco is renowned for his tactical abilities. While a member of the Galactrix Arena, he never lost a battle in the elite leagues (in which every battle is a fight to the death), making him one of the most beloved and well-known champions in the universe. This was no accident. His intuition and anticipation are exceptional, and the way he goes about combat, by using a streamlined and energy-conserving form, reflects his keen understanding of the importance of stamina in battle. While he is very competitive, he does not become outwardly emotional about such things.
History[]
Dragon Ball: The Mrovian Series: Hidden Memories of Chaiva[]
In chapter 3, in Age 745, Chaiva went up against Pukcoläsic. She hit him with a Mamba Strike, following that up with an Aurora Bomb. He managed to dodge that. She rushed him, vertically propelling him upwards with a Sliding Aurora Mortar. She pursued, but he was able to get out of the way in time. He dodged several more Aurora Bombs and returned to ground level. She continued firing, but he closed the gap with his speed, never getting hit. Then, Chaiva lunged at him with a Fluttering Vortex, though only the first two hits landed. Pukco backed away again. She came at him again, so he kicked out her legs from under her and then roundhouse kicked her away. The lizard pursued his foe, though she caught his fist, put him in a sleeper hold, and threw him onto the ground. Pukco jumped away and into the air, and Chaiva pursued him, hitting him hard with a right axe kick. He flew into the wall and fell down, unconscious.
The crowd cheered for Chaiva as her score updated to 523-47. The gladiators were teleported back to their holding cells following the bout. Pukco's master berated him for losing.
Across the Universe[]
In the first scene of chapter 2, as they approached the space station, which was in orbit around the swampy world, Udon and Soba could hear the cartographer's voice, prompting Soba to make a joke about him not being a silent cartographer. The cartographer was raving about Pukcoläsic, a fighter, taking on other fighters during a Galactrix Arena match. They made their way through the space station, eventually meeting up with the cartographer, who was still raving about Pukco (who had just smashed his competition, winning another fight).
After being critically damaged by the possessed smuggler, the cartographer proclaimed that though he had spent his life idolizing Pukco, now he had finally performed a courageous act himself, becoming a man on par with his hero. The robot powered down moments later.

Really Big Scary Monsters[]
In the first scene of this story, Kuriza took the Katchiguri Force to the local IHOR (Intergalactic House of Ramen) for lunch. He told them that Icer had commanded the boy to send the team to Planet Kuriza 073 because there had been many unexplained deaths there in recent times. Dhuak and Pukco were thumb wrestling, so Kracchus slapped the former in the back of the head to make them pay attention. Kuriza repeated himself for them and then spit out his ramen, as it had a foul taste to it. He called over a waiter.
Aranya sized up Dhuak and Pukco while that was going on, noting to herself that Pukco, having come from the Galactrix Arena (he had overthrown its previous rulers to become the new leader), would not be very trustworthy. She knew he might try to kill Dhuak on a combat assignment. Dhuak had served Lord Cooler in the past and had been notorious for his savagery.
There was no waiter to be found, so Kracchus offered to blow up the restaurant. Kuriza wouldn't allow it, as he wanted a refund. Aranya went into the kitchen to investigate. She found an eggheaded chef inside. He tried to run, but she pinned him to the ground. He shat himself. She asked for a refund for Kuriza's ramen. The chef refused, stating that it had been good ramen, so she snapped his neck. She returned to the register, noting that the Jolean who had been manning it was probably on a lunch break. She took out 22 space woolongs from the register and gave them to Kuriza.
The boy was sobbing in Kracchus' arms. He wanted to go to Space Sonikku to fill his belly. Aranya reminded him that they needed to leave for Planet Kuriza 073 at once. He apologized for forgetting and dismissed them. Aranya asked if there really was a monster at the outpost. Kuriza didn't know. The previous night, Governor Nippi had sent a report about it. All he knew was that something was killing all of the soldiers stationed on that world. Kuriza didn't care what it was. It had to be killed so that the outpost could once more begin producing food for the empire. They promised to find the culprit and kill it, whatever it was.
In the second scene, the Katchiguri Force arrived on Planet Kuriza 073. On the landing pad, they met Governor Nippi and a soldier named Punbry. Punbry told them, before running off, that the trouble was coming from the "bubbly", a freshwater lake located south of the outpost. Nippi told them that since the surface had begun to bubble in recent times, that is why they had named the lake that. Dhuak commanded the governor to show them the lake. He agreed to take them there.
When they arrived, Aranya noted that there appeared to be no other soldiers or wildlife in the area. She asked where the other soldiers are. Punbry confirmed her suspicions that they had been killed. He said that people had begun disappearing at night and nobody knew why. It had continued to happen until only he and the governor had remained. Nippi confirmed that, stating that there had previously been around two thousand soldiers on the outpost. Once only he and Punbry had been left, they had held an election over who would be the new governor, and Nippi had won in a landslide.
Nippi took out a bottle of liquor and offered some to the Katchiguri Force. Dhuak, Aranya, and Pukco finished off the bottle, although Kracchus refused to have any. Pukco complained that it was pisswater rum, but Nippi revealed that it had in fact been Dalon's Curse, the most expensive space rum in the universe. Aranya was startled that Pukco had managed to down half the bottle without any reaction. She and Kracchus exchanged concerned looks.
Punbry claimed to have seen the monster dragging soldiers into the lake to eat them. Aranya received no power level readings from the lake. She asked Nippi if he had ever scanned the monster's power level. He hadn't. He didn't believe the monster was in the lake, as for some reason, he seemed to be able to visit and leave the planet at will. Nippi had only brought the Katchiguri Force to the lake because it was the only scenic spot on the planet. Kracchus asked Nippi what his rank had been before the election. He admitted he had been a low-level soldier. Dhuak asked for more Dalon's Curse. Nippi passed around an other bottle. Dhuak, Pukco, Punbry, and Nippi all had some, while Kracchus once more refused, and Aranya did as well.
Aranya wondered if the monster had been made up by Nippi and Punbry when suddenly, a spire of water shot up from the lake, and out jumped the monster. Punbry scampered off as the creature landed on the beach. Nippi dropped the empty bottle and fell onto it, shattering glass against his head. Pukco tried to read the monster's power level, but his scouter exploded. Everyone else turned their scouters off. Pukco alerted them that the beast had a power level above 300,000.
The monster was vaguely bipedal, twelve feet tall, eyeless, pale, smooth-faced, with slits for a nose, thin pointed ears, and web fingers and toes. It even possessed what looked like vestigial wings. Its mouth split open like a pinkish sore, and it was groaning deeply and somberly. Its pale skin was partially scaled, but mostly smooth, save for the scars that dotted its face and body like half-attempted tattoos. Indeed, so scarred was the beast that half of its chin had been cut off, the wound having healed poorly to create a misshapen look for the creature. It had six fingers and six toes apiece. And so too did it possess a tail, long and slimy, wriggling about in the sand like sunburnt one-eyed snake.
Nippi screamed for them to burn the abomination. Frantically, he pulled out a third bottle of Dalon's Curse and began drinking. He didn't get more than a swig in before the monster vaporized him with a geyser of energy. Aranya told the monster that Kuriza had sentenced it to death as the team prepared to engage it in combat. It attacked them with spitting acid and geysers of energy, all of which the soldiers were able to dodge comfortably. They took to the air, surrounding their foe, and prepared to attack.
Before they did, Aranya had flashbacks of her fight against the Surgeon with Vegeta many years prior. She remembered how the Surgeon had destroyed her eyes. She noted that since that battle, she had faced very few foes, only sparring with Kuriza to keep her power level healthy. This was her first true opponent in decades. Briefly overcome by fear and shame, the memories surged back. She doubted her ability to lead the Katchiguri Force. Then, she let the emotions wash over her, focusing back on the task at hand, and commanded her team to assault the monster. They rushed it as it raised a deformed tentacle claw at them.
In the third scene, before engaging the monster, Aranya reflected on each member of the Katchiguri Force. In regards to Dhuak, she noted that he had been notorious for not only wiping out entire planets in hours, but feasting on the bones of the fallen as reward for his savagery. He was one of the finest hunters in the Planet Trade Organization. For Pukco, she noted that he had to have developed a sense of cunning to last so long in the Galactrix Arena's fighting pits, never losing a battle in the process. He had to have been decisive and merciless against his opponents in the ring.
For Kracchus, she recalled the story of him saving Prince Kuriza from King Potbelly and his traitorous space-badgers during the Nikkarin War. She noted that he had also destroyed many rebellions on his own, ended pirate princes’ dreams, and eaten the beating hearts of those who had dared to stand up to the Planet Trade Organization. As for herself, she had been the sparring partner of Vegeta after her brother Asaio had died in combat as the Saiyan's previous partner. She had lost to the Surgeon, even if Vegeta had beaten him, which had only been more humiliating for Aranya. Since then, she had only fought Kuriza, and she suspected that the few times she had made him bleed had been due to Kuriza pitying her and throwing the matches.
Then, the creature attacked, and she was forced to return to the present. As she dodged its tentacles, Pukco and Dhuak blasted it into the air, hitting it with several ki attacks. It managed to hit Dhuak aside. That was when Kracchus appeared, an energy blade in each hand. He used the afterimage technique to split into three forms, but the creature's speed took him by surprise. It hit him away before he could land a blow. The beast latched onto him, burning his flesh with its tentacles. Pukco came up from behind and battered it, forcing it to drop Kracchus. As it turned to face him, the furry warrior came at it from behind with a flying kick to the skull.
Pukco kept it distracted as Kracchus charged up a Truefire attack. The monster was blasted towards Aranya, who peppered it with purple finger beams. She closed in and battered it. Pukco aided her, allowing her to unleash a slew of energy on the monster's backside, greatly damaging it. Then, Kracchus came down on its head, splitting it open, and sending it into a crater next to Dhuak. Aranya complimented the others on their teamwork. Kracchus asked if he could vaporize the beast, as it was still alive. The Nyarin said that Dhuak was already doing that.
Below, having stumbled out of his crater, the Heoli approached the dying alien. Punbry appeared from behind a rock, drinking from a bottle. He wondered aloud if he would become the governor of the planet now. Dhuak replied that Kuriza would install a better governor and there wasn't much of a future in the PTO left for that craven space-badger. That made Punbry most displeased, for he had shared his alcohol with the Katchiguri Force. The way Dhuak had talked to him was disrespectful. He lamented the fact that there were no good people left in the universe (especially after the monster had eaten his last two friends, Kroko and Tanobari). Dhuak questioned if Punbry was even a soldier, or if he was a feral space-badger.
Distracted, he didn't see the monster rise to its feet. It swatted Dhuak aside and caught Punbry in its mouth. The space-badger screamed as his fur melted. Pukco came down on it with a kick, forcing it to spit up Punbry. Kracchus hit it with an even more devastating Truefire attack, vaporizing all of its tentacles. It tried to swipe them several more times, but then it suddenly ran out of steam and fell over, dead.
They noticed that Punbry was standing, covered in greenish-black acid, his head down. Pukco realized what was about to happen and freaked out. Before Aranya could get him to explain himself, Punbry grew to be around fifty feet tall in the blink of an eye. The space-badger groaned long and low, as if exhaling under pressure, as his fur flew out, his body sprouted abnormal, asymmetrical growths, and his bones split and snapped and amended themselves into new shapes and positions. His knees buckled; his shins splintered; his legs now bent in the opposite direction from before. Tentacles sprouted on his back, throat, upper chest, and face. All of his fur was gone. So too did tentacles grow out of his eyes. Punbry screamed like one who was dying, like one who had given up all hope, as his eyes were taken from him.
Aranya ordered her crew to surround the new monster. Punbry focused on Kracchus and Pukco, so Dhuak and Aranya hit it with ki attacks from behind. The Heoli used ki-enhanced physical attacks to punch holes in the monster. Punbry shot an arcing mouth beam at them, which destroyed half of the outpost, but they managed to dodge it.
Then, it honed in on Pukco. He descended to the ground and brought up a white shield of energy around his body. He roared at the others to kill the beast while he distracted it. Aranya charged up her Ahsan Ball, while Dhuak charged up his Fleshrender, and Kracchus charged up his Icicle Beam. Punbry noticed, however, and as they fired off their energy, he stepped back and batted Aranya and Kracchus' attacks aside.
Pukco used that moment to throw a Teleporting Pilum at the beast, which nearly decapitated it. Wounded severely, Punbry was unable to block Dhuak's attack, which cooked him alive. Aranya closed her eyes, focused on her errant Ahsan Ball, and regained control of it (something which Kuriza had taught her). She threw it once more at the monster. Punbry's head was charred black, with half of his skull vaporized. The giant monster stumbled into the lake and fell, sinking below the waters in seconds.
The team regrouped and congratulated one another. Kracchus scanned the planet with his scouter and confirmed that they were the only remaining beings. He asked Aranya to contact Kuriza with the good and bad news. A new garrison would need to be sent to the planet, as there had been no survivors. Aranya agreed to do so. She felt almost euphoric from the victory. Having regained her confidence, she contacted Kuriza over her scouter, thinking to herself that the Katchiguri Force would work well together, and she was sure she could lead them.

West City Saga[]
In the bonus chapter, on September 9th, Age 777, Kuriza's saucer visited Poonjab VII. Kuriza snacked on space crab chips while his Katchiguri Force (sans Aranya) practiced their poses. A pilot had tracked Abo and Kado to the Pink Oyster Cult resort on the far side of the planet. Kuriza demanded to be taken to them at once.
A Jolean portmaster general met them on the landing pad, asking if they had a reservation. However, when he noticed Kuriza, he let the Arcosian and his team go inside without another word.
In Abo and Kado's suite, Zar-degar masseuse massaged Kado. Abo soaked one off in a hot tub. Kuriza blew a hole through the wall, the force of which sent Kado flying off the massage table, skidding on his oiled-up belly across the room. Kuriza dismounted with a front flip from his Hover Chair and bowed before Abo and Kado, greeting them. His Katchiguri Force flanked him with stylish poses (Aranya again did not participate). They wondered if Kuriza had come to enjoy the resort.
Kuriza told them that the Planet Trade Organization was in a terrible state of decline due to Icer's leadership. He wanted their help in his quest to become the next emperor. Only Kuriza could save the Planet Trade. He promised to get rid of the space pirates, re-man empty outposts, and expand imperial borders. They needed to depose Icer. With Abo and Kado's strength on his side, Kuriza believed it possible. He asked for their assistance.
Kado wanted to help, but since they had a three-month reservation on the resort, they couldn't leave or they would lose heaps of money. For that reason, they declined the offer. Kuriza reminded them that as their emperor, he wasn't requesting anything. He ordered them to join him or face swift punishment. With unease, Kado said that moving against Icer would be treason, especially since he was the strongest person in the universe (as far as they knew). Kuriza wasn't so sure. He had been training intensely with his team, believing that their combined strength would catch his granduncle unaware. For the final time, he asked them to join him.
The pair gave a noncommittal response. Having lost patience, Kuriza released a massive explosive wave that destroyed most of the Pink Oyster Cult resort, shielding the Katchiguri Force, Abo, and Kado with energy barriers. The Zar-degar masseuse was vaporized in the blast. Kuriza ordered Abo and Kado to enjoy the wasteland, locking the planet down so that no ships could come to or leave Poonjab VII without his authorization. He left with his team, promising to save the universe from Icer.
Not long after, Kuriza's saucer made a hasty retreat from the planet.
