Nachi is the first child of the Saiyan warriors Artiko and Hipa. He was once a candidate for the Saiyan Royal Guard, but she was eliminated in the semifinal round of Age 733's Saiyan Placement Trials. After her defeat, she was disowned by her father and was assigned to serve the Saiyan Army.
She is a minor character in the story Dragon Ball: Uprising. Her name is a pun on the vegetable Spinach. This pun extends to the character's Japanese name (Spinach), which is different due to an alternative meaning to the name 'Nachi' in Japan.
