Mr. Takkuro (タックロ 先生, Takkuro Sensei) is a human native to West City. He was the math teacher in Ryori and Ledas' make-up summer school program to complete seventh grade in Age 774. He is a secondary character in the West City Saga of Dragon Ball: Heart of the Dragon.

Appearance[]
Mr. Takkuro is a man of average height and weight. His skin is fairly tan and wrinkly. He has a thick, bristly mustache. He tends to wear t-shirts, shorts (shorter than they should be), and socks and sandals.
Personality[]
Mr. Takkuro utilizes an energetic teaching style, requiring significant student participation during his lectures. He's a charismatic, humorous man, though his comedy oftentimes goes over the kids' heads due to the age gap. He is far less strict than the other seventh-grade teachers, making him the students' favorite. His goofy side does not mean he's not serious about his job. Takkuro does not allow the students to turn in work late and doesn't tolerate any chaos in the classroom, but he's not as high-strung as Mahobi or Kairyupin. He has starred in several low-budget movies as side and background characters, showing a penchant for acting.

On May 30, Age 774, Ledas and Ryori attended their first day of classes, meeting Mr. Takkuro, Ms. Kairyupin, and Ms. Mahobi for the first time, along with their fellow students, Chiwan, Hachi, Azashi, Chiaki, Tabashi, and Ippi. After the teachers' introductions, Takkuro and Kairyupin left Mahobi to lead the first lesson of the day.
Later, during Mr. Takkuro's algebra class, Ledas fooled the other students into not being able to see him move about the room using afterimages to cheat off their papers.
On May 31st, Mr. Takkuro filled in for Ms. Kairyupin's science lesson while Kairyupin dealt with Ledas' hair color issue.
On June 1st, Mr. Takkuro taught the seventh-graders math. Ledas was able to complete the assignment without cheating, though he was clearly injured from sparring with Vegeta.
On June 3rd, during Mr. Takkuro's class, the kids took notes while Ledas experienced obvious discomfort in his wrist.
On June 24th, after the seventh-graders finished their last in-class essay, everyone returned to the room, including the other teachers, as the class celebrated the end of their last day by eating cake and watching a low-budget movie Mr. Takkuro had a small role in as a cop. Afterward, they were released from class.
Trivia[]
- Mr. Takkuro's name is a pun on tokkuri (徳利), a slender type of saké bottle.
- Despite being featured in half of the chapters in West City Saga, and even having several scenes showing him lecturing, Mr. Takkuro doesn't haven't a line of dialogue in the entire saga.
