Mr. Kyokatoshi (教下等師きょうかとうし 先生せんせい, Kyōkatōshi Sensei) is a Human in Dragon Ball Z: The Forgotten. He is featured in the fourth saga and is introduced in the chapter "Hazing".

Overview

Appearance

Mr. Kyokatoshi is a human. He is tall and average weight. He has brown eyes and brown hair; to which his hair is pulled back and long. He wears suits everyday to his job and he wears glasses as well. He is not that old, perhaps only around 45. He also has a mustache, though it is scraggly at best.

Personality

Mr. Kyokatoshi is very strict and arrogant. He is also very short tempered and abundantly hostile; as well, Kyokatoshi screams a lot. Despite this, he is a generally honest teacher. However, he does not put up with insubordination, and has a hard time dealing with Ledas, who holds none of the skills necessary for Kyokatoshi's class. This leads to Kyokatoshi often resorting to physical punishment... something which is not actually allowed, but none of the students would dare tell anyone that he hits them.

Mr. Kyokatoshi was a seventh-grade teacher featured in The Forgotten. He was the teacher of the local middle school, wherein both Ryori, Ledas, as well as many other students studied. In the story, he was often portrayed as a man with a short temper, and with no fear in hitting his students. Though his own role is minimal, this abuse eventually lead to Ledas losing patience with him, and killing Kyokatoshi during a late-night detention session.

Trivia

• Mr. Kyokatoshi's name is based loosely on the japanese word for teacher, as well as the word for vulgar.
• Mr. Kyokatoshi was slightly influenced by characters such as "Agent Runge" from the anime "Monster".
• Mr. Kyokatoshi was originally named Mr. Kyokatshi in all drafts of The Forgotten except the final one. I realized during the final edits of the story that Kyokatshi was an impossible Japanese named, and decided to replace it with a possible one.
• Mr. Kyokatoshi's theme is Good Vibrations.
