The Majin Cult is the name of the small organization led by Bibidi that sought to resurrect the True Majins and unleash them upon Universe 7. Bibidi attempted to summon them by tricking them into thinking their hibernation periods were over (having not enough dark energy to summon them outright) via the creation of artificial Majins. These artificial Majins bore only a moderate resemblance to the True Majins, but ultimately were successful in summoning Majin Sesami, Majin Hocus, and Majin Buu, the last three known True Majins in the multiverse. Bibidi took control of Hocus and Buu (with Hocus later dying) and used Buu to kill off the Supreme Kais. He was nearly successful in his plot, as Buu killed or absorbed four of them, but the magician was later killed by the Eastern Supreme Kai on his way to Earth while his Majin was locked away in his sealed ball. On Earth, Majin Buu remained dormant for millions of years. Long afterwards, in Age 774, Babidi and his soldiers in the Majin Cult traveled to Earth to resurrect Buu once more, but ultimately all of them perished at the hands of Buu himself, as well as the Z Fighters. Babidi was resurrected due to tricking King Yemma in Age 784, but was shortly after subdued and sent back to HFIL by Pikkon, which permanently ended the Majin Cult.

History[]

Around 5 million years Before Age, Bibidi became a follower of Amoon. To fulfill Amoon's command, he sought to awaken the sleeping True Majins and use them to conquer the universe. He used the preserved body of a dead Majin to craft some false Majins. The first was Majin Shazo. He was too disobedient to do much, so Bibidi killed him. Next came Majin Khazam. Khazam rampaged through Leu Kani, but was killed by the natives. Then, Bibidi created Majin Abura. He avenged by Khazam by destroying Leu Kani, but he was too unruly, so Bibidi locked him in a container and had his next creation, Majin Ajai absorb him. Unfortunately, Ajai accidentally committed suicide when she charged up and released an explosive wave, for she was not used to Abura's added power.

Shortly afterwards, Bibidi created Majin Taraji. The two marauded across the galaxy for some time, making a name for themselves. In response to their butchery, The Faceless Warriors, a group of some of the universe's strongest warriors, formed together with the sole goal of killing the magician and his monster. They ambushed the duo on a planet and fought Taraji fiercely. Taraji eventually killed all of them except for their leader. I'Khar battled Taraji alone and eventually, after a long, weary battle, defeated her. Once he killed Taraji, Bibidi fled, though I'Khar pursued him.

Bibidi created Majin Bii while he was on the run. Bii was created solely to protect the wizard from I'Khar and his warriors. The Faceless Warriors found Bibidi and Majin Bii on a rainy planet and fought the Majin there with part of their force. Majin Bii blew up the planet, however, which destroyed the detachment. Later, the Faceless Warriors found Majin Bii in space as he was about to destroy another planet. The Faceless Warriors baited Bii into expending all of his energy as they began to fight him. While the Majin was able to kill some of them, most of the warriors survived Bii's assault. Once Bii ran out of energy, they, along with I'Khar, killed the Majin. After Bibidi fled, I'Khar sent some of his warriors after him to assassinate the wizard.

Bibidi created Majin Manto and Majin Janto a few days after Majin Bii's death. However, neither one of them was as powerful as Bii, which forced Bibidi to abandon both of them and create another Majin. He gave Manto and Janto to his son Babidi to serve as guards for the young boy. He then ordered Babidi back to their homeworld and began working on his next creation - Majin Voilar. On his way back to his homeworld, Babidi was attacked by space pirates. They boarded Babidi's ship and took the boy captive. Manto and his brother cut through the space pirates in an attempt to save their master. They quickly killed all of the space pirates, and Babidi was saved.

It was later noted that Manto and Janto saved Babidi from assassination attempts three separate times, distinguishing themselves each time. Later, a large force of Faceless Warriors came to attack Babidi on his homeworld. Manto was sent to stop them. Janto stayed behind and protected Babidi. While Manto was away, an assassin attacked Babidi. Janto fought the assassin and eventually killed him, though Janto noticed that he wasn't a part of the Faceless Warriors.

After a long, wearisome battle, Manto destroyed all of the warriors in space. He even absorbed two of them, resulting in a change in his appearance and personality (he was also given the ability to speak because of that). Babidi later sent a message to his father about what had happened to Manto.

While all of that was going on, Bibidi created Majin Voilar. He planned on using Voilar to wake the true Majins and destroy the Faceless Warriors; however, before he had finished training Voilar, the Faceless Warriors showed up at Bibidi's secret lair. He was forced to release her on them. While Voilar easily killed the assassins, she had not become loyal to Bibidi yet. She rampaged through Bibidi's workstation, forcing the good wizard to cower and hide until she spent her energy. Once she had, Bibidi imprisoned her in a magic ball.

He later tried training her in space when the Faceless Warriors reappeared. When Voilar refused to attack them, Bibidi fled, getting mortally wounded in the process. However, some of the attacks the Faceless Warriors shot at him accidentally hit Voilar, causing her to attack them and inadvertently save Bibidi's life. Soon, a new faction arrived on the scene. They called themselves the Priests of Amoon, and they captured Bibidi. After they failed to seize Voilar, the group fled with their captive. Voilar was killed by I'Khar shortly afterwards.

The Priests of Amoon took Bibidi back to their lair. Bibidi tried to tell them that he had been chosen by Amoon to awaken the true Majins. The priests didn't believe him and instead used some of his blood as a sacrifice to Amoon. They told the wizard that they had sent an assassin to kill his son and partially flayed him. Disheartened and weak, Bibidi was forced to create an artificial Majin for them, known as Majin Nikto.

They later took Bibidi with them to the cave they thought was the home of the true Majins. It was not actually the home of the true Majins, however. There, I'Khar ambushed them in a cave and covered them in rocks. Bibidi escaped and ordered Nikto to kill the Priests of Amoon, which he did gladly. All of the priests Nikto could find were easily destroyed, though not all of them resurfaced from the rocks that had fallen on them. After I'Khar shot an energy attack into the planet's core (which would make the planet explode in a matter of seconds), Bibidi escaped, though Nikto could not, as I'Khar and the last of the Priests of Amoon were fighting him. When the planet exploded, Nikto and all of the remaining Priests of Amoon were killed.

Once he had healed, Bibidi created Majin Jaduu. Bibidi released Jaduu on several planets to try to train the Majin. Though Jaduu was very powerful, he brutally massacred all the aliens on the planets, often tearing them apart with his energy and teeth. Afterwards, Bibidi ordered Majin Jaduu to destroy Bibidi's race (save for Babidi and Bibidi), as they had previous rioted when Babidi had been staying on their homeworld.

Bibidi was ambushed by the Faceless Warriors while moving through space (with Jaduu sealed in a magical container). He released Jaduu and ordered the demon to kill all of the Faceless Warriors. When Jaduu destroyed the warriors and absorbed their leader, I'Khar, his intelligence was enhanced and his awareness grew, leading him to rebel against Bibidi. While he was away from Bibidi, Jaduu cut a swath through the universe, toppling intergalactic empires, a famous mercenary group known as the Ice Breathers, and wealthy alien banking guilds.

After Jaduu escaped, Bibidi created his successor, Majin Baranduu, to hunt down Jaduu. Bibidi taught Baranduu to be extremely loyal before sending him after Jaduu. Once Bibidi was satisfied with Baranduu's loyalty, he went with Baranduu (and Majins Manto and Janto) to search for Jaduu. They eventually found Jaduu on a far-distant planet, destroying an alien banking guild. During the battle between Jaduu and Baranduu, Jaduu released a massive scream attack that knocked Bibidi and his son unconscious. When Bibidi and his son awoke, they found Jaduu, Jaduu's wife and children, and Baranduu to be gone.

Bibidi created Majin Presto after Majin Jaduu and Majin Baranduu went rogue. He tried making her loyal, but was rather unsuccessful in doing that, so he abandoned any hope of using her to track down Jaduu and Baranduu. He first tested Presto's power against weak aliens, but they did not force her to raise her power to its maximum, so Bibidi took Presto to the Obliteration Nation (a gladiator arena). There Presto fought two powerful gladiators named Marty and Clytemnestra with all her power (and eventually killed the duo).

When Presto used her full power, Bibidi's scanners picked up the true Majins' power. He was able to locate their homeworld and soon took Presto, Babidi, Majin Manto, and Majin Janto there. Unsure of how to awaken the true Majins, Bibidi offered a blood sacrifice to Amoon using Presto's blood. This greatly angered Presto and she self-destructed to escape being used in a second sacrifice. Bibidi was not damaged by her self-destruction, and he saw, in the wake of Presto attack, the true Majins' cocoons crack open, and the three powerful aliens step out to meet the wizard.

Bibidi tried to tell them about his plan to kill the Supreme Kais and take over the universe. Majin Hocus, one of the true Majins, wanted to join Bibidi, for traveling the universe would allow him to kill many aliens. Majin Sesami, another true Majin, didn't want to join Bibidi and become his slave, and this led to a conflict with Hocus. The two fought, and only when Majin Buu joined in with Hocus was Sesami forced to flee. Afterwards, Buu turned Majin Janto and Majin Manto into chocolate and ate them.

Bibidi later used Buu and Hocus to find Sesami, Jaduu, and Baranduu. Buu didn't find any of them, though Hocus eventually found Baranduu hiding out on a water world with his wife, Majin Uudnarab, and their children. Hocus killed Baranduu's family and then attacked the Majin warrior. Baranduu was no match for Hocus, and after a brief skirmish, even he realized that. Hocus briefly captured Baranduu and tried to interrogate him about where Jaduu had gone, but Baranduu revealed nothing to the true Majin. He bit Hocus' neck and then tried to absorb the true Majin. However, Hocus knew what Baranduu was trying to do and prevented it with several energy attacks. Baranduu, who was greatly wounded, then tried to flee. He did not get far, as Hocus threw a powerful green energy ball at him that vaporized Baranduu immediately on impact.

Sesami's later destruction of a galactic martial arts tournament and all its participants inadvertently helped Bibidi's conquest of the universe.

After they only found and killed Baranduu, Bibidi ordered them to stop looking for the remaining Majins and pursue the Supreme Kais (as he was getting impatient). They went to a Kai outpost world where Bibidi had Hocus interrogate a lesser Kai. Once the Kai revealed his species was native to Other World, Bibidi became overjoyed, since he knew how to access that plane of existence. However, Hocus was poisoned by the lesser Kai, and Bibidi was forced to come up with an antidote for him. Bibidi placed Majin Buu in a magical container to prevent the younger true Majin from attacking Hocus and then created an antidote. He left his son Babidi on the planet with Hocus to give the true Majin the antidote. Then, Bibidi left for Other World.

On the way, Buu marauded across several planets, killing as he pleased. He grew angry with Bibidi for keeping him locked up in his magical container. Later, Buu fought the greatest warriors - a group of martial artists and warriors from across the galaxy who gathered to protect the Supreme Kais from the pink demon. Buu eventually crushed them all in a long battle that almost cost him his life. Buu then attacked Planet Alpha, fighting more ferociously on that planet than Bibidi thought the young Majin was capable of. Buu grew more distant from Bibidi during that time, as Bibidi calling him his son and giving him candy weren't enough for Majin Buu to forgive the wizard for locking him up in the container.

Then, the two reached Other World. There, Majin Buu killed the West Supreme Kai and the North Supreme Kai. He absorbed the South Supreme Kai and transformed into Ultra Buu. He also attacked the East Supreme Kai and seemingly killed him. He then fought and absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai, which turned Majin Buu into Fat Buu.

Afterwards, Bibidi took Majin Buu back into the universe to conquer what remained of it for Bibidi. Bibidi put Buu in a container as they traveled, which allowed the Eastern Supreme Kai (who was not, in fact, dead) to ambush and kill Bibidi. He did not have the strength to kill Buu, so he buried the Majin in his container under the crust of the nearest planet (which was known as Earth). The Eastern Supreme Kai reappeared and attacked the wizard there. Before Bibidi could call forth Buu from the Majin's magical container, the Eastern Supreme Kai killed the magician. He then buried Majin Buu's container in the crust of the nearest planet (as he lacked the power to destroy Buu). That planet, of course, was Earth.

Later, Babidi found Majin Buu, which set off the Majin Buu arc of Dragon Ball Z.

In Age 784, Kid Buu escaped from HFIL and returned to Earth, seeking Uub. Babidi, in HFIL, was able to convince King Yemma to restore his life and send him to Earth so that he could use his magic to force Buu into hibernation again, which would save the lives of billions of people. However, Babidi merely used that as an excuse to escape. He was able to find Buu, after Buu absorbed and spit out Uub, and bound him into his ball again. Then, Babidi fled the planet.
