Limoncela is the Angel of Universe 16 and the attendant and martial arts teacher of Absintheus. She is also one of the Grand Minister's daughters.
Appearance[]
Limoncela stands tall in height, her lean body attired in a classic Angel outfit of Universe 16—a sleeveless black top with narrow golden and tangerine stripes running down the front that serve to elongate her figure, cinched at the waist with a coral ribbon. Her complexion is a gentle sky blue hue, smooth and unblemished, compared to her silvery-white locks that she wears as a long, thick braid flowing over her shoulder. Shining, golden-yellow, and sharp eyes look out over slender, arched brows of the same golden-yellow color. An airy, cyan-white aura surrounds her head, as if faintly emanating divine energy. Her left hand supports the staff that is her signature: a long, burgundy shaft topped with a gleaming black sphere surrounded by two thin-blue rings. She moves with her robes flowing smoothly, and the halo also shifts gracefully, betraying the divine power in this humble person.
Personality[]
Peaceful and contemplative, Limoncela possesses the calm one might expect to find in an Angel, yet beneath her serene exterior lies a warm-hearted kindness. She possesses a dry wit—generally delivered in whispered one-liners—though she rarely lets her guard down fully. A skilled teacher, Limoncela is always patient to a fault, breaking down complex martial arts concepts into digestible lessons for her students. Yet she can be uncompromisingly truthful as well: when she finds weakness spawned by arrogance or idleness, she does not hesitate to tell truth to power. Despite all this austerity, she is profoundly attached to her charges—both mortal and divine—and will go to any lengths to preserve Universe 16's precarious balance. Her loyalty to the God of Destruction Absintheus is unwavering, moderated by an affectionate respect for his earnest if occasionally headstrong passion.
Biography[]
Born centuries ago along with the other servants of the multiverse, Limoncela's earliest memories are of training her martial arts at the hands of senior Angels. Her focus to learn each movement and her innate ability to sense ki oscillations shortly caught the eye of the senior members. When the position of the open spot as Angel of Universe 16 was vacant, she was chosen for her ideal combination of compassion and control. Cronica. As the servant of Absintheus, she guided him through hundreds of wars against rebellious forces and stubborn humans, teaching him his deadly techniques and tempering his abilities. With the passing of the centuries, she was more than simply his teacher on the battlefield; she was his closest friend—a goddess's equivalent, at least—whispering in the moments of doubt and lending a steadying hand when his wild impulses ran riot. In the latest cycles, she has expanded her instruction by pushing it beyond Absintheus, creating a small dojo on Planet Volarik where she teaches promising mortals privately in the celestial martial arts, hoping to produce champions who would later defend Universe 16 against threats to their very existence.
Power[]
As an Angel, Limoncela is nearly immortal—immune to illness and aging, and is able to heal small wounds instantly. She possesses the full range of Angelic abilities: interdimensional flight, instant teleportation, telepathy, and sophisticated healing. Her spiritual power, which she names "Serenki," vibrates in soothing waves that can placate furious foes or soothe troubled energy fields. In addition to these standard Angelic powers, Limoncela has also learned the rare talent of "Citrus Clarity," which allows her to shed deception and psychic barriers, revealing the concealed motive and vulnerability of an enemy. Her prowess on the battlefield is simply incredible; she moves with fluid grace that transcends time, evading blows with unnerving precision. Her mastery of Ultra Instinct is beyond reflex: she is able to predict an opponent's next action by harmonizing herself with the slightest fluctuation in ki, making her virtually untouchable.
Techniques[]
- Celestial Spiral Staff - Concentrating her energy through the dark sphere at the end of her staff, Limoncela lashed it overhead, creating a twirling column of light that will deflect energy blasts and slice through ki shields.
- Halo of Refraction - Stretching out her halo, she forms a shield in the shape of a circle that deflects oncoming attacks, sending them harmless into erratic flight patterns. The ability also has the secondary effect of charging her friends' ki within it, making them more powerful and faster.
- Breath of Citrus - A concentrated breath assault that unleashes a blast of blinding lemon-scented ki. Targets struck by this burst are temporarily confused—vision fuzzes over, and mental distractions heighten—giving Limoncela the chance to follow through.
- Serenki Meditation - Passive but potent ability: when Limoncela enters a deep state of meditation, her self lets out a calming aura that soothes unstable patterns of energy around her. This can neutralize marauding energy surges in Universe 16's environment, stave off catastrophic ki clashes, and grant lucidity of mind to those around her.
- Divine Citrus Barrage - When fighting at close range, Limoncela invokes dozens of tiny spheres of immaculate "Citrus Light" around herself, and each sphere attacks an opponent's weak point. They consecutively burst and overwhelm even veteran fighters.
- Temporal Refraction Kick - An endgame move where she warps light and time around her foot for a moment, striking in what seems to be two places at once—once in the moment and a stunned resonance a fraction of a second later, making defenses meaningless.
- Angelic Embrace - This healing technique employed almost solely by Absintheus, Limoncela channels her life energy into the God of Destruction to treat his injuries and restore drained power. Even under dire circumstances, she can pass on some portion of her immortality to revive him from death's gates, albeit making herself vulnerable for a time.
