Left by a Madman

<OPENS WITH AN OVERHEAD SHOT OF PLANET VEGETA. FRIEZA'S LAUGHTER IS DIMLY HEARD IN THE DISTANCE, ECHOING. LOWER DOWN ON THE PLANET, AN ADULT SAIYAN SHOVES HIS TEENAGE SON INTO A POD,>

Adult Saiyan: Hurry, my son <GLANCES BACK AT FRIEZA'S MEN RUNNING THROUGH THE STREETS>, we don't have much time.

Child: But dad, I don't wanna-

Adult Saiyan: You must! Avenge our people! This is our last shot at rebellion against Frieza, and Bardock is leading the charge! This is something!

Child: But dad-

<SUDDENLY THE POD DOOR SLAMS SHUT, FRIEZA'S SUPERNOVA IS NOW CLEARLY VISIBLE IN THE SKY, HEADING RAPIDLY FOR THE GROUND. THE CHILD CRIES OUT AS THE POD LEAVES THE PLANET, AND THE SUPERNOVA BEGINS TO TAKE THE WORLD.>

<CUTS TO THE INSIDE OF ONE OF COOLER'S SHIPS. A BROWN, SNAKELIKE ALIEN IS STARING INTO THE VIEWSCREEN, WATCHING THE SAIYAN'S POD FLY RAPIDLY ACROSS THE SKY. HE TURNS TO THE OTHER MEMBERS ON THE DECK. THERE IS A BLUE SKINNED MAN WITH FOUR ARMS, A SKELETAL BEING WITH HIS HANDS HANGING LOOSELY, AND A MYSTERIOUS FIGURE IN A CLOAK.>

Brown Guy: Parys, look! One of the monkeys is escaping!

<THE BLUE SKINNED MAN, PRESUMABLY PARYS, WALKS UP TO THE SCREEN. HE STARES FOR A MINUTE AT THE POD, A SMALL SMILE PLAYING ACROSS HIS FACE, AND THEN TURNS TO THE SKELETAL BEING.>

Parys: Captain Diadan, would you like to take a look at this?

Diadan: <RASPY VOICE> No need. I turned my head while you idiots were looking at it with eyes bigger than Frieza's head...

<PARYS SHAKES HIS HEAD UNHAPPILY.>

Diadan: Take the pod in. It's been a while since we've had some fun, and I could use a punching bag.

Parys: <SNICKERS> Yes, sir.

<AS THE CHILD'S POD FLIES, A BRIEF FLASH OF LIGHT SEEMS TO REACH OUT AND GRAB IT. IT PULLS IT BACK, AND THE SCREEN GOES DARK AS THE POD IS BROUGHT IN.>

<THE SCREEN LIGHTS UP AGAIN, AND THE POD CREEKS OPEN. THE SAIYAN FALLS OUT. THE BROWN ONE, PARYS, AND CAPTAIN DIADAN LOOK AT HIM AS HE GETS UP. HIS EXPRESSION GOES FROM CONFUSED TO FRIGHTENED.>

Brown Guy: What's your name, Monkey? <TAKES A STEP TOWARDS HIM.>

Saiyan: Monkey?! My name is Larek, and I am a great Saiyan warrior.

Brown Guy: Sure... and my name is Orlot.

Parys: Your name is Orlot.

Orlot: Shut up.

<TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR ARGUMENTS, LAREK LEAPS UP AND FIRES SEVERAL ENERGY BLASTS, TWO OF WHICH STRIKE PARYS AND ORLOT. SUDDENLY DIADAN LEAPS FORWARD AND STRIKES LAREK ACROSS THE HEAD. THE REMAINING SOLDIERS PULL THEMSELVES UP AS DIADAN SETS LAREK DOWN.>

Diadan: That was pathetic, you guys. C'mon, take him down to the chamber with the other monkey. Let's get ready for a night on the town!

<HE WALKS AWAY, AND IT ZOOMS IN ON LAREK'S FACE. AN EXPRESSION OF SADNESS AND DESPAIR APPEARS ON HIS FACE BEFORE THE SCREEN GOES BLACK.>
