Android 17 (人造人間１７号, Jinzōningen Jū Nana-Gō), Lapis (ラピス) when he was Human, is a character in the Dragon Ball manga, and the anime series Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball AF. He is Dr. Gero's seventeenth android creation, designed to serve Gero's vendetta against Goku who destroyed the Red Ribbon Army as a child. Despite his interests not initially deviating from this expectation, Android 17 rebels and kill Dr. Gero, who is uncooperative with Lazuli's curiosity in activating Android 16.

2nd Timespace Rift Tournament Saga[]

Android 17 of Age 2360 helps the Piccolo and Android 16 of that era bring back Guitar from his Neurotemporal Displacement while also gathering the unusual energy into an arch in order to make a gateway. The Android 16 of that era joins Guitar when he goes to the Timespace Rift in order to compete in the 2nd Timespace Tournament Rift while an earlier version of him is summoned and recruited.
