This article, Kaido, is the property of MandarinB. |
Kaido is the second child of the Saiyan warriors Artiko and Hipa. He was once a candidate for the Saiyan Royal Guard, as well as a participant in Age 736's Saiyan Placement trials.
He is the main protagonist of the story Dragon Ball: Uprising. His name is a pun on the vegetable Daikon.
Appearance[]
Kaido is full-blooded Saiyan, and so as a result, he shows all the normal traits of a Saiyan his age. He has long black hair, black eyes, and a tail. In the first arc, Kaido is ten, and while he is a bit taller than some of his companions, he is still pretty short when compared to Saiyan adults. He is notably similar in his appearance to his father Artiko in his youth.
Throughout the Placement Trials Arc, he wears black-and-red battle armor of the Planet Trade Organization over a black jumpsuit. This red color was chosen by him to create an obvious link to the Saiyan Royal Guard, who he wishes to join.
Personality[]
At the start of Placement Trials, Kaido is a self-conscious and honorable young man, hungry for his father's approval. This need to live up to an image makes him similar to his rival Lero, though that is where their similarities end. He is more sentimental than most Saiyans would usually display, notably missing his older sister Nachi enough to look for her in the audience of his own trials, despite being told she had abandoned him.
