Kaarat the Divine Demon (also known as Demon Kaarat) occupied the Earth, he left the depths of the universe to find powerful warriors with universal fame who lived on Earth. He is the antagonist of Dragon Ball AF.
Concept and Creation[]
Kaarat is possibly the character that has brought the most controversy to the Dragon Ball AF community, since his design, origin or history has been the subject of doubts and confusion since the beginning of it.
The story referenced in this article, which is the one usually considered official for the Dragon Ball AF chronology, was created on forums or websites by various users, but it is believed that the official creator is a forum user named Tranks. In addition, the passage of time has transformed the story, turning it into the one we know today.
As for the design, in the absence of illustrations that made reference to the villain of said saga, those of Zeel began to be used, another villain from Dragon Ball AF but outside the "official" chronology. Said villain is the main antagonist of "Dragon Ball AF: 700 Years Later", the story of Prince Gas Vegeta (PGV) and was known for a more than well-known trailer that even today can be seen on YouTube, in addition to being a playable character in Dragon Ball Budokai AF.
As the years went by, images of Zeel began to be seen on forums or articles related to Kaarat more frequently, which increased the confusion to the point that today many fans of the franchise think they are the same character.
In recent years, the Dragon Ball AF community of artists or creators in general has done everything possible to create illustrations of Kaarat that are different from Zeel and that maintain their own, differentiated style and at the same time show that he is a high-caliber demon, and fortunately for us, they have achieved this optimally.
