Jodenku (柔 道 家 ) is an Earthling martial artist and one of the most powerful warriors of Earth, as well as one of the main characters of Dragon Ball Keisho 継承. Orphaned as a toddler, Jodenku spent most of his childhood wandering the wilderness of Earth alone, constantly fighting for his life against wild animals and bandits. He was then taken in by an assassin known as Tachizo the Broken, who turned the young prodigy into a fearsome, cold-hearted assassin. During the 97th Tenkaichi Budokai, he was awakened to the bad influence in his life and became more "neutral", gradually warming up to the Z-Fighters over time, which truly came to light during the events of the Jinryu Saga. Today, he helps defend Earth from trouble along with the Wolf Style Dojo, which he helps run alongside his wife Sei-Sen, and the rest of the Z-Fighters of the new generation of Earth.
Within Jodenku's soul is Jinryu, the Banished Eternal Dragon that is sealed within him. The power of Jinryu can be unleashed through a transformation known as Jinryu Keijō 神龍覚醒.

Backstory[]
Jodenku was born in the suburbs of South City on November 16th, Age 978. His parents were killed by a powerful hurricane when he was an infant, forcing him to spend most of his childhood wandering the wilderness and constantly fighting for his life against the wildlife and ruthless bandits. Growing up, he was surrounded with martial arts and it became a passion of his, seeing the constant challenges and quest to better himself as fulfilling.
At the age of six, Jodenku was hunting in the wilderness of East District, when an assassin named Tachizo the Broken approached him and took him under his wing, quickly turning Jodenku into a deadly assassin and was infamous throughout much of rural Earth, being known as the "Wolf of Okazimura" after winning a one-versus-fifty fight in the mountain temple of Okazimura. In this battle, it was revealed that Jodenku had a mysterious evil presence within his body, which suddenly unleashed in a terrifying transformation that made him a chaotic monster out of nowhere from a simple burst of anger.
Jodenku continued gaining more infamy and had various bounties across different regions of Earth with high prices on his head, with all attempts at retrieving this bounty being a failure. Eventually in Age 991 when Jodenku was around the age of thirteen, Tachizo informed him that the two of them were to participate in the upcoming Tenkaichi Budokai, as he now wanted them to achieve global glory and to be feared by the entire planet, hoping to overthrow the Guardian of Earth one day and having complete reign over the people of Earth. Jodenku was not as invested in this goal but obliged, simply hoping to prove his strength to the best martial artists on Earth. With this in mind, their intensive training began within the months before the 97th Tenkaichi Budokai.

97th Tenkaichi Budokai Saga[]
Jodenku's training and assassination missions are covered periodically throughout the first eight episodes before the tournament, eventually leading to Sei-Sen and her mentor, Master Renji, accepting a bounty contract to take them out. This battle ended up as an extremely one-sided affair, with Jodenku and his mentor barely breaking a sweat to take down the duo. However, they had decided to spare the two, instead leaving. It is believed by Jodenku that this was the incident that solidified Tachizo's interest in entering the Tenkaichi Budokai.
After many months of rigorous training with his mentor Tachizo the Brave, the two arrived at Papaya Island for the Tenkaichi Budokai and were immediately recognized by several people, including contestants and spectators. A few other young martial arts prodigies were at the tournament, including but not limited to Sei-Sen, a top student of the Wolf Style Dojo led by Master Renji, and Kenju Zu, the top ranked combatant of the Crane Style Dojo. Along with martial artists of the Turtle School, the 97th Tenkaichi Budokai is one for the records, being filled with rivalries and narratives as well as battles that shake the Earth. Throughout the tournament, Jodenku fought Dr. Roboto in the first round, Kenji in the quarter finals, and Sei-Sen in the semi finals, passing through with relative ease and surprising the entire crowd. After a long tournament with many electrifying battles between Earth's greatest, the final is contested between Jodenku and Kenju Zu, with Kenju Zu having a majority of the fan support due to Jodenku's infamy for his reputation as an assassin.
Both fighters were gravely injured, and Kenju Zu managed to narrowly squeeze out a victory, being declared "Strongest Under the Heavens" for the 97th Tenkaichi Budokai. Although losing out on his ultimate goal, Jodenku has been awakened to Tachizo the Broken's horrible influence on his life throughout the events of the tournament, declaring himself independent in front of everyone in the contestant room in the aftermath of the tournament's celebrations. Tachizo the Broken attempted to attack Jodenku, but it was to no avail as his student had surpassed him long ago. With a broken nose and an angry expression on his face, Tachizo left the island with the promise to one day get revenge on Jodenku. Now alone, Jodenku leaves the celebrations early and retreats into the wilderness.
A few days after the tournament, Jodenku encounters Sei-Sen in the wilderness, with the two sharing meat on a stick over a campfire from a bear that Jodenku had hunted a few minutes prior. Sei-Sen told Jodenku that her master, Master Renji of the Wolf Style Dojo, was impressed at Jodenku's performance and said that with proper training and form, he would be unstoppable and wished to see him one day for training. Jodenku refused at first as he had trauma from his previous mentor in Tachizo the Broken, but after a long and heartfelt conversation, Sei-Sen managed to convince Jodenku to enter the Wolf Style Dojo, beginning his new path to power under the guidance of a legendary martial artist and alongside others around his age, including a young boy named Hoshi who enters the dojo a few days after him.

Character Description[]
Physical Appearance[]
Jodenku has slightly sunkissed skin due to his constant outdoor activity as a child. He is of average height and a muscular but lean build. His eyes are a dark hazel that appear much lighter in the sun, having a significant hue of green in them. He is slightly thinner than the average martial artist and prefers a lean physique to focus on speed, but keeps a good size to ensure his attacks have tons of power behind them. His hair is wild and black, with a few natural brown highlights to them. Jodenku has a few scars across his face and body, all gained during the battle against Jinryu. As an adult, he grows to a height of about 5'8 1/2" (174 cm), which is about average for an Earthling.
Personality[]
As a kid, Jodenku demonstrates a lot of rebelliousness, constantly going against people that try to tell him what to do, no matter how insignificant. This personality trait gradually goes away as he ages, with Master Renji's sacrifice against Jinryu acting as a "wake up call" for him to respect his peers and to appreciate them for the time he has left. Jodenku is somewhat calm and has a playful arrogance to him. He toys with his opponents a lot with mocking and fake attacks, but knows when to take things seriously. He enjoys other casual things in life like nature, music, and sports, most notably displayed in his constant betting with Hoshi and Kenju Zu.
Goals[]
Jodenku's primary objective, although for different reasons overtime, stays relatively the same throughout his entire life as a martial artist; to become as powerful as he can possibly be. It has always been a matter of pride and personal growth for him, but at first it was to be feared by those he was sent to kill by his former mentor, Tachizo the Great, when he was an assassin. Now, it is to ensure that he and those he loves aren't put in danger when faced with threats, as he wants peace and safety for those he grew to appreciate. A big part of this change is due to his relationship with Sei-Sen that developed overtime.

Fighting Style[]
Jodenku fights in the Wolf Style that has been spread down the Wolf Style Dojo for centuries, which emphasizes heavily on the usage of ki to enhance melee techniques and fighting through quick bursts rather than consistent pace. Speed and dexterity are the priorities, and ki blasts are rarely used until a large amount of ki is conserved during a battle or meditation. His style tends to be very flashy, consisting of unnecessary flips and dodging to humiliate or mock the opponent. When it comes to melee combat, his style is akin to those of Muay Thai fighters, using the "eight limbs" including knees and elbows. He also frequently attacks with spinning kicks for extra flashiness.

Techniques[]
- Ōkami Harikēn 狼ハリケーン: The signature Wolf Style Dojo technique. Gathers energy into core through hand movements and releases it in a quick burst of ki through his arms as a wolf silhouette forms behind him. Produces hurricane-like winds.
- Kemono-Yoroi 獣の鎧: Strengthens his body to be able to endure almost any attack, deflecting it back to the opponent. This technique takes a lot of stamina to hold and if broken through, his body is much more vulnerable.
- Genso-Ken 幻想拳: Disrupts the mind of the opponent, causing them to hallucinate and leaving them open for an attack.
- Twin Wolves 二龍神: Another Wolf Style Dojo technique. Unleashes two wolf apparitions as powerful as himself that attack relentlessly until they are killed. This technique is most commonly used as a distraction tactic to give himself time to charge up an even stronger technique or to regather ki.
- Jinseiken 人生拳: Jodenku's ultimate technique, invented and mastered by himself in the years after the Jinryu Saga. Gathers donated energy like a Spirit Bomb into fist and charges forward into a flying punch with a million tons of force as a wolf apparition appears, similar to the dragon apparition in the Dragon Fist technique. Takes several minutes to charge and can also use life energy, which is much more powerful but extremely dangerous to use.
Transformations[]
- Jinryu Keijō 神龍覚醒: The unleashing of the evil Eternal Dragon, Jinryu. He grows to over ten feet tall and becomes extraordinarily muscular, losing his pupils and his hair growing long and wild. He becomes very chaotic and uncontrolled in nature, and the transformation wears off after a few minutes, knocking him unconscious.
- Controlled Jinryu Keijō 神龍覚醒: The Jinryu-Keijō form in full control. Appearance wise, the only difference is that his pupils have returned and are a vibrant golden color, but he still does not talk much although has the ability to. The transformation still knocks him unconscious and has no way of being deactivated without this happening.

Trivia[]
- Jodenku's name is a pun off of "Judoka", the term for a judo master, which is also his manga name.
- Jodenku is a huge fan of sports, notably basketball, football, and soccer. He owns jerseys of the South City Flames (rip-off of the Miami Heat) and the South City Barracudas (rip-off of the Miami Dolphins). He creates fantasy teams and competes with Hoshi and Kenju Zu every season.
- Jodenku is a revised version of an old OC of mine from over ten years ago when I was like 9. You can even find some remnants of it on here, but it sucks lol
- Jodenku was originally a Saiyan but I changed him to being an Earthling as I felt it would make him more unique and interesting. I also want the "underdog" aspect of his story to be a major part, which I didn't see working if he was a Saiyan.
