Gyousei was a Super Saiyan and an Immortal that appears in Return of the True Saiyans series, he is the Original Super Saiyan and his powers grew so great that he unintentionally faked his death and ascended into an immortal, he was the only individual alive known to achieve Immortality this way or without using the Dragon Balls to wish for Immortality.

Gyousei was described as the most powerful Saiyan in the history of the Saiyan species and an ancestor of Goku, Brolly and Vegeta's bloodlines. As a Golden Great Ape he garnered massive power into himself in such an extent that he was believed to have self-destructed, he was believed by many Saiyans to be the progenitor of their entire race and the first Saiyan ever created, many also believed he became too powerful for anyone or anything to handle including himself which caused him to destroy his own body. This however caused him to evolve and learn a lesson about patience and control, Gyousei became immortal and although he felt pain and could be mortally wounded, he could never actually die nor could his body stop healing.
Gyousei's power level is hinted to be at 2,500,000,000. A power level reached by Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, for only 10 full minutes.

- "Gyousei" is the Japanese word translation for "morning star", notably this is also the meaning and title of "Lucifer", a powerful Archangel second only to God and the Bearer of Light until he rebelled again God and became an Evil God himself under the title "the Devil".
