Son Goku (孫 悟 空 Son Gokū), born Kakarot (カカロット Kakarotto), is Saiyan raised on Earth and the main protagonist of the series.

Goku's outfit he wore for Yamcha and Yennie's wedding
During the Yamcha and Yennie's wedding in Dragon Ball Advanced; Goku wears a tuxedo consisting of colours that match the colouration of his End of Z outfit in the manga. His outfit consists of an orange tie, dark pants, lime green jacket, and white undershirt in addition to shoes he wear at the End of Z.

With revelation of "Black Frieza" at the end of their battles of Planet Cereal with Gas during the High School Saga, Vegeta and Goku, aware of having fallen behind to the galactic tyrant, continue their training on Beerus' Planet.
Super Hero Saga[]
In the Super Hero Saga, Goku and Broly are engaged in a training match, sometime after the High School Saga, in their base forms with Broly being the aggressor. Complimenting on Broly's improvement, Goku believes that he will be able to fight with a level head without snapping into a rage. He suggests they kick things up a notch which Broly readily agrees to.

Four months after the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku was training Uub in the same way that Master Roshi trained him and Krillin before he and Master Roshi changed into suits before heading off to Yamcha and Yennie's wedding.
Power[]
At the start of Dragon Ball Advanced - Goku had gotten seventeen times stronger since the final chapter of Dragon Ball Super (not yet released).

- Godly ki - Goku possesses Godly ki.

Like all Saiyans, at the moment of looking at a full moon for a fix amount of time for their eyes to absorb the blutz waves from the moon - Goku will transform into a berserking Great Ape should he have a tail. While has no control over his actions in this form, his power increase by a multiplier of 10.

After consuming the Ultra Divine Water and surviving its painful side-effects, Goku's true potential was released, apparently in the form of accessing Great Ape in his base form. This was seen by his natural aura manifesting as an image of a Great Ape surrounding him.
- Kaio-ken

Technical a power-up, but considered a Transformation in some games. Goku gains a red aura and can heighten his powers with his maximum multiplier being x20.
- Captain Ginyu's body
During his battle with Captain Ginyu - Ginyu swapped their bodies through a technique causing Goku to gain his severely wounded body as a result. While adjusting to his body despite his injuries, in Ginyu's body made his full capabilities in this form unknown.
- Super Saiyan
Super Saiyan
After the Piccolo was critically injured and Krillin was killed by Frieza after his Spirit Bomb failed to defeat the tyrant, Goku exploded in fit of rage, achieving the form of Saiyan legend known as Super Saiyan. Goku's muscle and height slight increase and his skin turns lighter. His eyes become noticeably sterner and more defined with green eyes. His hair becomes blond and stands with no loose strands. His power also generates a yellow aura.

With the knowledge that the Androids/Cyborgs surpass Super Saiyan, Goku entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to surpass the basic Super Saiyan form. Ultimately, Goku unlocked this form after weeks of training. However, Goku realized that this form spends too much ki to be maintained. As a result of discovering more powerful and efficient forms, this form is never used again.

This form is vastly stronger than Super Saiyan Second Grade, the power output is too intense, causing Goku's muscles to become engorged from the struggle of maintaining this unsteady power boost which creates a huge detriment to his speed and agility, tiring him even more and reducing his effectiveness overall. Goku came to conclusion that despite being more powerful than Semi-Perfect Cell - it wouldn't do anyone could if he couldn't even attack his foe due to being to slow. As such, this form is never used again.
- Super Saiyan Full Power

This form is the result of mastery of the basic form which Goku decided would be better after concluding that Super Saiyan 2nd Grade and Super Saiyan 3rd Grade had too many weaknesses and flaws. He used the remainder of his time chamber training learning to maintain Super Saiyan for longer periods.
- Super Saiyan 2
The product of Potara Fusion of Goku and Vegeta, sought out as a desperate measure against Super Buu after he had absorbed Ultimate Gohan. In the anime base form Vegito was overwhelm Super Buu despite Super Buu surpassing both Goku and Vegeta individual indicating that their powers were not only combined but magnified. Upon turning Super Saiyan Vegito vastly outclassed the transformed Super Buu.
They would later fuse once again during their fight against Fused Zamasu, immediately transforming into Super Saiyan Blue after Vegito ate senzu. He was able to overpower the fused unofficial Supreme Kai before defusing before he could use Final Kamehameha.
- Gogeta
In the Broly Saga; Gogeta's base power was able to compete with the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly. Against the fully transformed foe, Gogeta's Super Saiyan Blue might was able to break down dimensional barriers and decisively wear down Broly to the point of nearly killing him. Noticeably, the sheer power of this form did not dilute the time limit for the fusion.
- Gokule/Gotan
A hypothetical product of the Potara Fusion between Goku and Mr. Satan (Hercule) that Goku imagined after his plans to fuse with Ultimate Gohan failed due to Gohan losing the Potara Earring and later being absorbed. Goku imagined himself fusing with Mr. Satan, discouraged by his lack of power, but had better fighting experience than Dende and thus made him a better candidate over Dende.
