Gohan is a half-Saiyan and the first son of Son Goku and Chi Chi, the older brother of Son Goten, husband of Videl Satan and father to Son Pan. He is named after Goku's adoptive grandfather, Gohan. He is named after Goku's adoptive grandfather, Gohan. He is also the most powerful warrior of Earth.
Unlike his father, Gohan has no passion for fighting (although he possesses extremely great power) and prefers to only do so when his loved ones are threatened. However, Gohan has fought alongside the Z Fighters in Earth's defense for much of his life.

Despite his general lack of interest in fighting, Gohan is a true natural prodigy born with Legendary Super Saiyan genetics, making him one of the most powerful warriors in the multiverse.
Gohan has demonstrated his potential since he was a child, although he initially only demonstrated it in situations of great stress. An example of this was when Raditz kidnapped him. Gohan was frightened and released a blast of power that reached 2,910 and fatally injured his uncle with a headbutt, before he fell unconscious and his power returned to 1. After training with Piccolo for six months, he became the second strongest fighter of the Z Fighters, with a power of 5,000.
Later on Namek, Grand Elder Guru used his power to unlock Gohan's power, although he was only able to unlock a portion. In his fight against the Ginyu Force, Gohan was able to overpower all the warriors separately, except Captain Ginyu himself.
