"Fear isn't a weakness. If you believe so, then you're nothing but a fool. Allow me to explain what fear is: It's nothing more than yet another obstacle for us to overcome. And like any other obstacle, it's possible to surpass it, and once we surpass it, we become stronger, both physically and physiologically. All there's left afterwards, is the fear of the next obstacle that's put in front of us, so we can once again surpass them!"

Garia (ガリア Garia) is a Time Patroller who was originally an Earthling who was recruited due to his enhanced battling skills, before gathering the Dragon Balls and wishing Shenron to become a full-fledged Saiyan.

Appearance[]

Garia's first outfit

Garia's first outfit.

Garia's overall physical appearance resembles Goku's. A few notable exceptions is the fact that Garia's skin is visibly tanner, and his hairstyle visibly seems to stand on end, giving it a rising, flame-like appearance (the exact shape of a Super Saiyan's).

Before being recruited to the Time Patrol (and also for a short time after being recruited), Garia's outfit consisted of a crimson dogi, a yellow long sleeve shirt with matching shin wraps, a teal belt, and black shoes with white accents.

Garia second outfit

Garia's second outfit.

A few months after joining the Time Patrol, Garia dons a yellow cape overneath his crimson dogi, and replaced the yellow long-sleeve shirt for a black one, and discarted his teal belt for a small greenish-blue sash.

His third outfit no longer has a cape and consists of a red overcoat with plates on his shoulders. His undershirt is black, and also consists of black elbow length gloves.

His fourth, and current, outfit consists of a long red vest secured at the lower half by his teal belt and wrapped tail. Underneath the vest, Garia wears a black short-sleeved combat suit. He dons red fingerless gloves, red and black boots, a white lower gi half, and a long yellow sash.

After training for three years inside Conton City's Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Garia's height grows significantly, and gains the appearance of a full-fledged teenager, both in height and body features, with the inclusion of his voice becoming deeper.

Personality[]

Before being recruited into the Time Patrol, Garia came across as feisty and stubborn, traits common amongst Saiyans, but also kind-hearted and humble, a rare trait amongst Saiyans. From a young age, Garia, along with Shaya, was completely infatuated with martial arts, and attended numerous World Martial Arts Tournaments.

Unlike the majority of the Earthlings, who believed the supernatural powers of fighters such as Master Roshi, Goku and Krillin were nothing more than special effects, or tricks, Garia (along with Shaya) thoroughly believed they were real, and sought out Master Roshi to teach him to master, and properly control his powers.

After mastering the art of energy and gaining supernatural powers of his own, Garia became overjoyed with his newfound powers, but quickly grew bored from the lack of challenges presented to him, until Shaya herself also mastered her powers and the two would constantly challenge each other for sparring matches, triggering Garia's competitive streak. However, after realizing that his powers were nothing compared to those of Saiyans, Namekians and other alien life forms, Garia became fascinated with Saiyans, ultimately using the Dragon Balls in Toki Toki City to become a full-fledged Saiyan himself.

A trait common amongst the Saiyan race, Garia loves fighting: the sights, the sounds, even the taste of his own blood. Yet, Garia is very disciplined in a fight, never allowing his failed plans or attacks to upset him, never letting superior numbers or power intimidate him, and always willing to do whatever must be done to gain victory. Despite his love for battle and thirst for power, Garia never allowed himself to become arrogant, always showing proper respects for his opponents, even the deadliest ones.

Aside from his love of fighting, Garia is incredibly honorable, refusing to defeat opponents by underhanded means, or when they are damaged by outside interference. Nonetheless, Garia is willing to ignore these feelings in critical situations, such as the well-being of his friends, or the fate of history itself. Another formidable trait of Garia's is his desire to study from the best fighters of the universe, believing that strength comes from learning from others instead through solitude.

Despite his love for fighting and joy in facing off against strong opponents, Garia fears death, and whenever the topic comes to his mind, he occasionally suffer panic attacks, such as lashing out for no reason and momentarily losing the control over his powers. Garia himself states that because he fears "what comes after" death, it makes him wonder if he was suited for battling. However, Garia eventually overcomes this fear, and after Towa taunts him over this fear, Garia simply responds by telling her that his fear was simply another obstacle that he managed to surpass.

Garia's also an extremely talented strategist, and can turn any sort of disadvantage into his advantage to gain the upper hand against his opponents. One prime example was the usage of Future Trunks's Super Saiyan Third Grade form, where it gains incredible power at the cost of speed, and Garia formed a plan where Trunks would charge up his power from a distance while Garia distracted their opponent before launching the attack and gaining them the victory, effectively ignoring the sidetrack effect of the form's lack of speed, something which both Trunks and the Supreme Kai of Time applauded him for.

Biography[]

Background[]

Garia was born on April 14, Age 755. As a toddler, Garia became interested in martial arts after watching the World Martial Arts Tournament on television, and grew up perfecting his skills. Because of this interest, Garia met and became best friends with a girl named Shaya, who also shared his love for battling. Over time, Garia also developed romantic feelings for her, although Shaya was oblivious to them, and did not reciprocate them.

Eventually, Garia and Shaya watched broadcast of past tournaments and witnessed the battle between Master Roshi and Goku at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, and both decided to train under Roshi. However, because Roshi was under the disguise of "Jackie Chun", Garia and Shaya were unable to locate Roshi, until seeing Roshi themselves and connecting the dots together, and both of them anxiously asked Roshi to train them. Seeing the two youngsters determined, Roshi accepted their request and began training them.

Over the next few years, Garia and Shaya quickly learned how to properly control their inner energy and ultimately master it, after which Roshi "graduated" them, stating he had nothing else to teach them, and needed to perfect their own skills by themselves. Afterwards, Garia and Shaya would often challenge each other to spar matches to test their powers, and each time they battled, they would become stronger.

Saiyan Saga[]

As the 24th World Martial Arts Tournament was approaching, both Garia and Shaya declared their intentions to participate. However, before Garia could register, he was engulfed by a light that mysteriously appeared out of the sky and was teleported away from the Earth. Upon awakening, Garia found himself in a strange location before witnessing Shenron disappearing after the Dragon Balls were used moments before.

Just then, Garia was greeted by Future Trunks, who apologized for the confusing sitatuion, but remarked that before explaining any further, he needed to test Garia's skills, and charged at him with his sword, but Garia's quick reflexes allows him to sweep him by the legs before delivering a powerful kick to his gut. However, Trunks was only slightly affected by the attack, and quickly brushed it off before hitting Garia point-blank with a Masenko before pointing his sword at Garia's face, and subsequently calling off the battle.

Trunks helps Garia up to his feet, before saying that despite his power being inferior than his, Garia's potential was great, and promised to make him stronger. However, Garia demands an explanation about his sudden appearance, and Trunks welcomes him to Toki Toki City, and introduces himself as a Time Patroller. Trunks continues to explain their occupation, saying that Time Patrollers traveled to different points in time to stop individuals that attempted to change history for the worse, which could possibly erase all of history itself, and prevent the flow of time from being affected, and only those who the Supreme Kai of Time deems worthy are recruited into the Time Patrol, and Trunks formally invites Garia to join the Time Patrol, which Garia accepts, excited at the thought of battling strong opponents.

Arriving at the Time Nest, Garia and Trunks chat about Garia's first mission, and Trunks assigns Garia for his first mission: Time Breakers have intercepted the battle between Raditz and Goku, causing Raditz to become far more powerful than history showcases, and allowing him to overpower, and ultimately defeat Goku and Piccolo. With the Scroll of Eternity on his hand, Garia travels to Age 761, and prevents the empowered Raditz from killing Gohan. Despite being shocked and confused at Garia's sudden appearance, Goku and Piccolo seek his help in battling Raditz.

Together, Garia, Piccolo, and Goku charge at Raditz together, but Raditz easily dodges their attacks, and sends Piccolo flying with a energy wave. As Goku and Raditz trade punches, Garia charges a Kamehameha from a distance, which catches Goku's attention, who wonders how Garia knew the technique. Garia fires the attack, but Raditz redirects the attack back at him with his bare hands, sending Garia crashing onto numerous rocks. Garia recovers and is informed by Piccolo to distract Raditz as he charges his Special Beam Cannon technique. Garia and Goku battle Raditz for a few minutes, until Piccolo shouts the completion of his attack. Suddenly, Goku grabs Raditz from behind and restrains him, and orders Piccolo to fire the attack. As Garia attempts to help Goku, Trunks speaks to him through the communication system, telling Garia to stay out of the way, as Piccolo fires the attack, which pierces through both Raditz and Goku.

Then, Trunks orders Garia to return to the Time Nest, and Garia bids Piccolo farewell, as the latter wonders where Garia came from. Arriving at the Time Nest, Garia is congratulated by Trunks, although Garia curses his own lack of power, and wonders if he was suited for the role. Trunks, however, assures Garia that he would become stronger over time, but Garia's mood doesn't increase. However, Trunks suggests Garia using the Dragon Balls to increase his strength, and after asking Trunks if he was powerful, Trunks shows off his Super Saiyan form, which surprises and fascinates Garia.

At the altar, Garia and Future Trunks gather the Dragon Balls and successfully summon Shenron. As Garia is about to announce his wish to become stronger, he looks at Trunks, before changing his original wish and instead wishes to become a full-fledged Saiyan, which shocks Future Trunks. After Shenron disappears, Garia states that just by becoming a Saiyan, he could feel his power rising incredibly, and remarks on the power difference between Saiyans and Earthlings.

A couple of weeks later, Garia finished his week-long training under Future Trunks. Afterwards, Garia was assigned by Trunks to correct another distortion in time. Arriving at Age 762, Garia joins the Z Fighters in their battle against the empowered Vegeta and Nappa. Garia starts the battle by joining forces with Yamcha and Tien in battling the Saibamen, and after killing a few of them, Garia joins up with Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo in battling Nappa. Nappa attacks all four of them with his Bomber DX attack, but Garia counters with his Masenko, although its easily overpowered, but Garia manages to dodge the attack at the last second.

Garia and Piccolo combine their energy waves together to try and damage Nappa, but the empowered Nappa easily bats the attacks away before slicing off Piccolo's right arm with a chop. Garia panics for a moment, but quickly regains his composure, and fires a Kamehameha towards Nappa. Nappa bats the attack away, but Gohan and Krillin fire energy waves at Nappa's back, slightly damaging him, although Nappa quickly recovers and turns his attention to Krillin and Gohan. As Nappa prepares to attack the duo, Garia jumps onto Nappa's back and sends off a explosive wave that surrounds them both, which finally causes some significant damage on Nappa.

However, the attack also drains a significant amount of Garia's energy, and Garia becomes defenseless, until being saved at the nick of time by Krillin, who pushes him out of Nappa's attack. Nappa tries to kill Gohan with a Bomber DX, with Piccolo stepping in to save his life by sacrificing his own. Gohan and Krillin then step in to help hold off Nappa until Goku arrives. Seeing as Nappa is having trouble catching his breath, Vegeta fights Goku and leaves Nappa to fight Garia, Gohan, and Krillin.

As the battle between the two parties heats up, Vegeta loses his patience and creates an artificial moon and allows himself and Nappa to transform into Great Apes. Both Vegeta and Nappa begin to overwhelm the trio until Goku arrives to even the odds. However, the Z Fighters continue to struggle against the Saiyan duo. As the battle heats up, Garia and Goku formulate a plan, where Goku, Krillin and Gohan distract Nappa, allowing Garia to cut off his tail. As Nappa transforms back, his power weakens incredibly, allowing Garia to kill him with a Super Kamehameha.

As Vegeta curses Nappa for his foolishness, his tail is also cut off by Yajirobe. Just then, Garia receives a call from Future Trunks from his communication system, informing Garia that history was restoring itself back to normal and tells Garia to return, and Garia takes one final look at the battlefield before returning to Toki Toki City. Arriving at the Time Nest, Garia is greeted by Future Trunks, before being formally introduced to the Supreme Kai of Time and her ancient pet Tokitoki, who congratulates Garia on his growing power and thanks him for joining the Time Patrol.

Namek Saga[]

Later, Garia is assigned to another mission, and finds himself at planet Namek at the period where Frieza and his army were looking for the Namekian Dragon Balls so Frieza can wish for immortality. Joining the Z Fighters on Namek, Garia helps Vegeta fight an empowered Captain Ginyu until Recoome steps onto the field.

After Recoome has been knocked down for a brief moment, he leaps up and attempts to destroy the battlefield with his Recoome Ultra Fighting Bomber, before being swiftly interrupted by Goku. After fighting Ginyu, his teammates Burter and Jeice interfere. Ginyu tries to swap bodies with Goku, but Garia is accidentally knocked into the path of the attack by Jeice. Once Burter and Jeice are taken care of, Goku asks Garia to check in on Krillin and Gohan at Frieza's spaceship, as him in Ginyu's body would let them go on board the ship with no hassle.

Inside Frieza's ship, Garia encounters Krillin and Gohan, who are initially skeptical of Garia since he was in Ginyu's body, but Garia quickly explains the situation, which puts Krillin and Gohan at ease. However, Guldo and other members of Frieza's army appear and Guldo becomes confused at Ginyu siding with Gohan and Krillin, but quickly realizes that Ginyu had probably switched bodies and attacks the three intruders. However, despite being uncommon with Ginyu's body, Garia swiftly defeats Guldo and the other members of Frieza's army with ease.

Once the trio gather the Dragon Balls, Ginyu (in Garia's body) and Goku arrive on site to continue their fight. The weakened Ginyu tries to swap with Goku again, with Garia jumping ahead of the beam to be restored into their original body. However, Guldo suddenly appears freezes Goku with telekinesis long enough for Ginyu to body swap with Goku. Vegeta also joins in and ends up executing Guldo. Once Ginyu in Goku's body is beaten and battered, Vegeta tries to finish Ginyu off. Ginyu tries to take advantage of the opportunity and swap bodies with Vegeta, but Goku leaps in the way. Ginyu tries to swap again, but Goku tosses a Namekian Frog in the way, trapping Ginyu in a useless body. Garia then locates the cause of the distortions, Mira and Towa. Garia challenges Mira, but is outclassed by Mira and defeated. As Mira prepares to steal Garia's energy, Towa stops him, telling him they had more important matters before departing, and Garia soon departs himself back to the Time Nest.

Having successfully returned, the Supreme Kai of Time tends to Garia's injuries with her healing abilities, while Garia curses himself for not being able to stop Mira and Towa. However, Future Trunks assures him that it wasn't his fault, as Mira and Towa were extremely powerful, and Trunks had been unsuccessfully battling against them for months. Just then, the Scroll of Eternity shows another change in history at the same period that Garia had just returned from, and Garia quickly heads off back to Namek to inspect the change.

Returning to Namek, Garia finds himself teaming with Vegeta, Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo to battle against Frieza in his Final Form, and Garia becomes momentarily paralyzed in fear at the mere sight of Frieza's power, but quickly regains his composure. The fight lasts for about two minutes, as Frieza's power outclasses Garia's and everyone else's, until Goku arrives and begins battling against Frieza after the latter kills Vegeta. After Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan leave the area, Goku and Garia battle against the empowered Frieza and together, the two are capable of fighting toe-to-toe with Frieza, with the battle culminating with Goku preparing a Large Spirit Bomb, while Garia and Piccolo distract Frieza, and Frieza is ultimately overwhelmed by the attack.

However, Frieza survives the attack and critically injures Piccolo, and brutally murders Krillin, which triggers Goku's transformation into a Super Saiyan. Noticing that history was restoring itself, Garia returns to the Time Nest as Goku thanks him for the help. Arriving back at the Time Nest, Garia becomes in awe at Goku's power and asks Trunks on how to become to transform into a Super Saiyan, but Trunks has difficulty in explaining, and the Supreme Kai of Time arranges for Goku to arrive in Toki Toki City and train Garia.

Much to Garia's surprise, Goku doesn't seem to remember Garia, and Future Trunks explains that the fixes in time cause any Time Patroller's interference to become inexistent to prevent further changes, therefore it causes Goku not to remember any Time Patroller that aids him. Nonetheless, Goku accepts Garia's request to train him, seeing great power within him, and the two have a sparring match, where Goku completely outclasses Garia in terms of power and speed. Garia then requests Goku to transform into a Super Saiyan, which Goku does, and Garia continues to challenge him, but it's unable to land a single hit on Goku. Wondering if he would ever be able to reach Goku in terms of power, Goku tells him that he needed to push himself beyond his own limits, and Goku fires a Super Kamehameha towards Garia, who holds the attack back with his hands, but it slowly pushes him back. Goku shouts that he needed to overpower his attack if he wanted to become stronger, and Garia attempts, but continues to struggle. Goku then tells Garia to think about the people he cares about, and how he needed to protect them, and after momentarily thinking about Shaya, Garia's power rises and finally transforms into a Super Saiyan, allowing him to redirect Goku's attack away, but at the cost of his energy and quickly reverts back to his normal state and collapses from the pressure.

After regaining consciousness, Garia eats a Senzu Bean and therefore receives a boost in power thanks to his Saiyan DNA, and thanks Goku for training him. Goku says that Garia's power would continue to grow, and urges him to never stop training, which Garia agrees before the Supreme Kai of Time sends Goku back to his own time.

Cell Saga[]

Garia's next mission has him travel to Age 767, where Garia prevents Mr. Satan from being killed by Cell during the Cell Games, much to the Z Fighters' dismay. After saving Mr. Satan's life through unconventional means, Garia fights Cell himself, until Mr. Satan tries to finish off Cell before being casually slapped out of the ring. While Mr. Satan writhes on the ground from a hurt nose, Garia chimes in that all is well, until Mr. Satan suddenly stops and gets up. Filled with dark energy, Mr. Satan flies back onto the ring, and while Goku fights Cell, Garia fights the empowered Mr. Satan from out of bounds and beats him.

After Cell destroys the ring, Garia teams up with the other Z Fighters to battle against the Cell Jr.'s, and ascends into a Super Saiyan to gain the upper hand, but struggles against the powerful foes. After killing numerous Cell Jr.'s, Towa engulfs Gohan with her dark energy, which forces Gohan into his Super Saiyan 2 form, who easily destroys all of the Cell Jr.'s before turning his attention back to Cell.

Garia then confronts Towa and Mira and is then joined by Future Trunks and the two Time Patrollers battle against Mira and Towa. Though a tough fight, the two manage to "beat" him, but Mira simply rises again and begins to power up until Towa interrupts and says they're done for the day. After taking a loan from Gohan's energy banks, they retreat. After Trunks returns to Toki Toki City, Garia helps the weakened Gohan fight off the empowered Super Perfect Cell. Once Gohan regains enough energy to transform into a Super Saiyan 2 again, Garia leaves, allowing Gohan to kill Cell with a Father-Son Kamehameha.

Future Androids Saga[]

While Garia, Future Trunks, and the Supreme Kai of Time are on the Time Nest, Future Trunks begins to slowly fade away, and the Supreme Kai of Time quickly notices that a change in history occured in Trunks' timeline, and Garia travels to his timeline, and finds himself facing off against the empowered Future Android 17 and Future Android 18. Despite struggling against the two androids, Garia ultimately defeats the two. However, Future Trunks continues to fade away, and Towa appears, saying she made two changes in history, and disappears before Garia could attack her.

Confused on what to do next, Garia is greeted by a mysterious individual, who offers to take him to the altered event in history. After placing a symbol on his palm, the mysterious individual teleports Garia to another location, where the Future Trunks from that time is being crushed by Future Cell, but Garia stops Future Cell from killing him, and the two Saiyans join forces to battle Future Cell. As Future Cell becomes weakened, Garia and Future Trunks combine their Kamehameha and Burning Attack, respectively, and successfully destroy Future Cell once and for all, and Garia subsequently returns to the Time Nest.

Upon returning, Garia notices the symbol on his palm glowing, and the Supreme Kai of Time comes running and extracts the symbol off his palm and sends it away before the symbol explodes. As Garia and Future Trunks wonder what happened, the Supreme Kai of Time notices a figure hovering above them, and Garia recognizes the figure as the same individual who teleported him towards Future Cell's location, and Supreme Kai of Time refers to him as Demigra, the Demon God. Garia and Future Trunks attack Demigra, but Demigra proves himself as nothing more than an illusion, and fades away shortly thereafter. The Supreme Kai of Time then explains that Demigra was an enemy she had sealed away in the Crack of Time 75 million years ago, and Demigra's goal was to rule over time and space completely. Garia and Future Trunks then become further determined to defeat Demigra and protect history from his tyranny.

Buu Saga[]

History is altered again, with Majin Buu splitting into three to gang up on Super Saiyan 3 Goku. Future Trunks sends Garia to intercept Towa and Mira before Mira can steal Goku's energy. After a difficult fight, the two fly past each other and Mira tries to attack Garia, but the attack is dodged and Garia blasts Mira with a Buster Cannon, disintegrating him. Garia then goes to Goku to save him from the Majin Buu copies. After fighting off the Buu's, Goku's Super Saiyan 3 pushes him to his limit and he leaves the rest to Garia, this time with a horde of smaller, but still dangerous Majin Buu. Eventually, Future Trunks chimes in to convince Buu to wait for a strong opponent to face him. When Buu decides to play with Garia to pass the time, the less than enthusiastic Garia decides to return to the Time Nest. This ends up annoying Buu, so badly that his dark side rears its ugly head and consumes him.

Back at Kami's Lookout, Demigra has taken control of Piccolo and forces him to attack Goten and Trunks. Garia intervenes and defeats Demigra and frees Piccolo from the mind control. Then of all people, Super Buu appears and fights the three of them until Goten and Trunks fuse into Gotenks. Being beaten, Super Buu tries to run off, with Garia and Piccolo attacking him since Gotenks' fusion has failed. After holding their own against Super Buu, Gohan arrives and helps out. With Super Buu being beaten and battered, he tries to blow himself up, but Demigra's dark magic engulfs him and Super Buu reverts to his true form: Kid Buu. Although Garia and Gohan try their best to fight Kid Buu, he still ends up destroying Earth.

However, Garia had successfully teleported away thanks to Goku's Instant Transmission, and Garia, Goku, Vegeta, Mr. Satan and Dende find themselves at the Sacred World of the Kai, and they are quickly confronted by Kid Buu. Garia, Vegeta and Goku join forces to battle Kid Buu, but Buu's power overwhelms the three, and Goku decides to use the Spirit Bomb, while Garia and Vegeta battle Buu. As Kid Buu prepares to finish off Vegeta, Garia begins to power up and ascends into a Super Saiyan 2, which allows him to fight Kid Buu, but it's still unable to defeat him. After Goku gathers enough energy for his Super Spirit Bomb from the energy collected from the revived Earthlings, Goku throws the Super Spirit Bomb, but Kid Buu slowly pushes the attack back. Then, Garia joins Goku's side and helps him push the attack back, and the two Saiyans successfully manage to completely disintegrate Kid Buu.

As Goku and the others celebrate, Garia returns to the Time Nest and is congratulated by Future Trunks and the Supreme Kai of Time for defeating Kid Buu, and also for achieving the Super Saiyan 2 form, and arranges for Vegeta to arrive in Toki Toki City to train Garia. When Vegeta and Garia encounter each other, Vegeta says that despite Garia's power being impressive, it was nowhere his and transforms into Super Vegeta while Garia transforms into Super Saiyan 2, and the two Saiyans exchange punches. After a long fist battle, Vegeta charges a Galick Gun, and just by observing, Garia's also able to charge a Galick Gun of his own and the two attacks clash with one another, with neither side getting the upper hand, causing both attacks to cancel each other out. Vegeta then calls off the battle and begrudgingly acknowledges Garia's power, but angrily reminds him that he was still stronger, before the Supreme Kai of Time sends Vegeta back to his own time, while Garia laughs nervously at Vegeta's angry nature.

Battle of Gods Saga[]

When nothing is happening back at the Time Nest, the silence is suddenly broken with one of Demigra's mirages appearing and revealing what era he will be twisting next: The time when the God of Destruction, Beerus visited Earth. Rightfully panicked, the Supreme Kai of Time sends Garia to correct the distortion in time.

When Beerus' snack is knocked out of his hands by a peculiar curve-ball, he attacks the Z Fighters. None of the Z Fighters stand a chance, but Goku appears and reveals he knows how to become the Super Saiyan God Beerus was looking for. After transforming, Garia, Goku, and Beerus take their fight to a random cave, and then to outer space.

When Beerus is brought under the influence of Demigra's dark magic, he charges a massive Sphere of Destruction and prepares to destroy Earth. Demigra's mirage appears and taunts Garia over his loss. Then, Beerus launches the attack towards Demigra and reveals Demigra's dark magic has no effect over him. Beerus and Garia then join forces, and they easily defeat Demigra's mirage, with Demigra stating their victory would be short-lived before fading away.

Much to the Supreme Kai of Time's shock, Beerus and Whis arrive at the Time Nest with Garia, where they decide to test Garia, and Future Trunks to see whether they were worthy of taking on Demigra by themselves. Garia and Trunks team up to face Beerus and Whis. Both Garia and Future Trunks ascend into Super Saiyan 2, and Super Saiyan, respectively, and charge their attacks towards Beerus and Whis, but the two deities easily dodge the attacks, and after a few minutes of effortless dodging, they easily defeated Garia and Trunks with a few shots only.

Despite losing the battle, Beerus and Whis became impressed with the two Saiyan's potentials, and allowed them to destroy Demigra themselves. Back at the Time Nest, Beerus and Whis bid their farewells before departing back towards Beerus' Planet, with Whis encouraging them to defeat Demigra, while the Supreme Kai of Time sighs out of relief for Beerus being in a good mood, while Garia and Future Trunks laugh nervously at their utter defeat at the hands of Beerus and Whis.

Demon God Demigra Saga[]

Garia investigates a disturbance in West City, which the culprits being the newly revived Frieza, Cell, and Kid Buu, enhanced by Demigra's dark magic. After holding all three off, Goku shows up to even out the odds. Goku and Garia join their powers into one powerful Kamehameha which obliterates all three villains at once. Despite the victory, Goku tells Garia not to become at ease, since there was another problem to deal with: Demigra. Goku tells Garia to go on ahead without him, as Goku would clean up the mess caused by the three villains, and would join up with him afterwards, and Garia returns to Toki Toki City.

Back at Toki Toki City, Garia finds that Demigra has already struck and has swallowed Tokitoki, elevating Demigra's powers into greater hights. Garia challenges Demigra, who unfazed by the former's courage and simply calls out his foolishness to challenge him. Then, Demigra reveals having Future Trunks under his control, and the two team up against Garia, who initially can't seem able to fight the two powerful opponents alone, until being struck by Trunks' Burning Attack. As Garia struggles to get back to his feet, Demigra attempts to take control over Garia with his dark magic, which engulfs him completely, but Garia struggles to remain in control.

Suddenly, Goku shows up through Instant Transmission and fires an energy wave at Demigra, which momentarily distracts him, and allows Garia to power up and break free of Demigra's control, while simultaneously ascending into a Super Saiyan 3. Demigra expresses his shock and distain for Goku's arrival and Garia's evolution in power, but nonetheless continues to battle them both, believing he was superior, but the two Saiyans prove to be capable of defeating both Future Trunks and Demigra, breaking Trunks free of Demigra's control, and forcing Demigra to retreat.

As the Supreme Kai of Time wonders where Demigra headed off to, the entire city begins to shake violently, and the Supreme Kai of Time assmes something was happening at the Time Nest, and Goku teleports himself and everyone else there, where they find Demigra intending to destroy the entire Time Nest and history itself in order to create his own history. Garia and Goku, in their Super Saiyan 3 forms, rush to stop him as he unleashes a barrage of staves. Unfortunately, Garia is impaled by one of them and is mortally wounded, and a distracted Goku is felled as well, leaving both of them trapped in magic fields created by the staves. Helpless, they are unable to stop Demigra's destruction of history and Garia loses consciousness.

However, an alternate version of Garia wakes up in a strange void, and stumbles upon another time scroll, revealing to them their demise. Garia uses this scroll to teleport himself to that moment after Demigra leaves through a wormhole and destroys the staves pinning Goku to the floor, allowing him to hold back the ball of energy threatening to destroy history while Garia chases after Demigra.

Finding himself at the Crack of Time, Garia confronts Demigra, who expresses his utter and deep shock at Garia's stubborness and will to fight, and angrily announces that he wouldn't allow him to put an end to his plans and ascends into his Final Form, and begins battling against Garia. The two fighters exchange many punches, but Demigra slightly overwhelms Garia in terms of power, but Garia manages to score a few hits of his own. As Demigra loses his cool at being unable to defeat Garia, he charges an all-out attack towards him. Knowing this was his last chance, Garia concentrates all his power into a powerful Kamehameha, but Demigra slowly pushes the attack back. During their intense struggle, the spirits of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin all lend him their power, allowing Garia to completely overwhelm the god, killing him and freeing Tokitoki in time to teleport them back to Toki Toki City as the Crack of Time falls apart.

With the heroes victorious and relieved that the struggle is over, Future Trunks asks Garia if he'd like to continue being his partner in protecting the flow of time, to which Garia agrees. Goku challenges Garia to a spar, and both prepare to fight until the Supreme Kai of Time stops them, not wanting the Time Nest to end up destroyed in their wake. After sending Goku back to his own time, the Supreme Kai of Time properly thanks Garia for his assistance and states that because of his courage and bravery, he was given permission to refer to herself by her real name: Chronoa, and states that only himself and Future Trunks were aware of her real name, as they were her most trusted and reliable comrades.

Turles and Slug Saga[]

Two years after Demigra's defeat, Garia was hailed as the Hero of Toki Toki City (トキトキ都えいゆう, Tokitokito no Eiyuu), and was promoted as an Elite Time Patroller for his role in Demigra's defeat. Garia was also crucial for the construction of Conton City after Toki Toki City was destroyed by Demigra's assault. However, Garia, Chronoa, and Future Trunks eventually discovered that Towa had completely restored Mira, and Mira himself had become much stronger than before, and Garia and Future Trunks were tasked in defeating them, but despite Garia's power reaching new heights, Mira was capable of fighting back, and retreating each time, and every time they battled, Mira's strength increased exponentially.

After returning from yet another unsuccessful attempt in defeating Mira and Towa, Garia was utterly shocked and surprised to see Shaya at the Time Nest, and Chronoa explained that Shaya was hand-picked by herself and Old Kai as an official Time Patroller, and Shaya chatted with Garia about his accomplishments and expressed her pride in being his friend, and said that she was looking foward in battling alongside him.

Garia then witnesses Shaya and Future Trunks travelling to Age 762, where they attempt to stop Mira and Towa's accomplices, Turles and Lord Slug from disrupting history. After Shaya struggles against the empowered Turles, Garia arrives in the nick of time to block Turles' Kill Driver attack, saving Shaya's life in the process. Shaya thanks Garia for his help, and Garia ascends into a Super Saiyan 3 while Shaya transforms into a Super Saiyan herself, shocking Garia, and Shaya explains that she, too, became a Saiyan through the usage of the Dragon Balls after hearing how Garia himself became more powerful by doing it.

Turles becomes annoyed at the two casually talking while ignoring him, but the two longtime friends combine their Kamehameha attacks together and send Turles flying with their combined attacks. Just then, Garia spots Towa at a distance, and tells Shaya to take care of Turles and Slug before chasing after Towa. However, Towa manages to escape, and Garia turns his attention towards Trunks, and formulated a plan on how to defeat the empowered Lord Slug. As Garia battled against Slug, Trunks accessed his Super Saiyan Third Grade form and charged his Final Flash attack from a distance, negating the form's lack of speed in the process. As Trunks finalized charging, Garia blinded Slug with a Solar Flare before getting out of the way, allowing Trunks to fire his overcharged Final Flash and obliterate Lord Slug completely.

Returning to Shaya's side, Garia witnesses Shaya ascending into a Super Saiyan 2 through sheer willpower and stands idle as Shaya single-handedly overwhelms Turles with her newfound power, before destroying him once and for all with her Super Kamehameha. As the Time Patrollers arrived back at the Time Nest, Chronoa congratulated the trio on their successful mission, although Garia expressed his concern over Towa's sudden appearance, but Chronoa urged him not to think about it at the moment and they should celebrate their success, and Chronoa offered to cook them a meal. Despite Shaya becoming excited at the thought, both Garia and Future Trunks's faces became blue out of fear, and as Shaya questioned why, Garia explained that Chronoa's cooking was perhaps the "most dangerous enemy in the universe", quickly causing Shaya to change her mind completely, and the three Time Patrollers quickly, and quietly, flee from the Time Nest before Chronoa could properly invite them for a meal.

Future Gohan Saga[]

When another distortion in time arises, Garia and Shaya are assigned by Chronoa to investigate. Wondering why Future Trunks wasn't contacted, Chronoa reveals the change in time occurs in Future Trunks' timeline, and involves Trunks' master, Future Gohan. Both Garia and Shaya teleport towards the distortion, and witness Future Gohan battling against Future Android 16.

Garia and Shaya join forces with Future Gohan and the trio battle against Future Android 16. After a long and struggling battle, Garia, Future Gohan, and Shaya successfully defeat Future Android 16 after combining their attacks together. After the battle, Future Gohan thanks the duo and expresses his surprise at having strong fighters left on Earth, but senses something different about them, and Shaya proceeds to explain everything about themselves and the Time Patrol, despite Garia trying to stop her from revealing anything.

Future Gohan expresses his delight in seeing that they risked their lives to protect the flow of time, and after Shaya mentions Future Trunks, Future Gohan asks if Future Trunks had become stronger, to which Shaya confirms, saying that Future Trunks was perhaps stronger than him. Future Gohan becomes joyful at hearing this, and asks them to tell Future Trunks that he was proud of him, before sensing Future Android 17 and Future Android 18 destroying a nearby city, and Future Gohan flies off to challenge them. After Future Gohan leaves, Garia scolds Shaya for hastily exposing themselves as Time Patrollers, but Shaya brushes it off, saying that since their interference becomes nullified regardless of their actions, Future Gohan wouldn't remember them anyway, so they shouldn't worry about it, leaving Garia comically annoyed at Shaya's carefree attitude.

Back at the Time Nest, Chronoa congratulates them on their successful mission, and expresses her interest on how different and skilled Future Gohan was than his alternate counterpart, and arranges for Future Gohan to arrive in Conton City to train Shaya and Garia. When Future Gohan arrives, Garia and Shaya ask him if he remembers them, to which Future Gohan confirms, saying that his current self was the one that had already met the two of them, and tells them to prepare themselves for training. After training with Future Gohan for several hours, Shaya's power increased to a great amount while Garia only increased slightly, although both of them learned new techniques under Future Gohan.

The Masked Saiyan Saga[]

While Shaya and Future Trunks were currently on a mission to stop Towa and Mira from interfering in Vegito's battle against Super Buu, Garia arrives in the nick of time and prevents Mira from killing Shaya. Then, Garia gives chase to the villainous duo, and arrives at an undisclosed place in time and confronts Mira and Towa. Despite doing his utmost best, Garia was defeated by Mira and placed under Towa's control.

As a result, Towa gained great information about the Time Nest and how to bypass communication systems and how to infiltrate the Time Nest itself. When Shaya and Future Trunks chase after the Masked Saiyan that had been aiding Towa and Mira, they find themselves battling against Bardock and Mira. After Bardock and Mira were defeated, and Bardock regaining control of himself and dragging himself and Mira to an unescapable dimension through a wormhole, Towa reveals Garia and engages him in battle against Shaya and Future Trunks. The sight of Garia's mind-controlled self triggers Shaya's trasformation into a Super Saiyan 3.

Towa then enlists Garia to battle against Shaya and Future Trunks, and due to Towa's influence, Garia easily overwhelms Shaya and Future Trunks. After realizing they couldn't defeat him, Shaya and Future Trunks begin to focus on destroying the mask controlling Garia, and after Shaya distracts Garia long enough, Future Trunks shatters his mask with his sword, freeing Garia from Towa's control. Towa becomes in awe at her defeat, but refuses to give up and teleports away. Suddenly, Garia's body begins to fade away and Shaya, and Future Trunks also lose any memory of Garia and his actions.

It was revealed that Towa had travelled back two years in time, and killed Shenron as Future Trunks was about to wish for Garia to arrive in Toki Toki City as history originally occured, and after Shaya remembered Garia from their days on Earth, they travelled back to when Future Trunks first wished for Garia to appear, and they prevented Towa from interfering with history, causing Garia to return to Conton City.

At the Time Nest, Garia once again saves Shaya's life by blocking Mira's attack, although Garia himself becomes seriously injured as a result. As Mira and Towa retreat through a warmhole, Garia entrusts the safety of history to Shaya before passing out from his injuries. In the aftermath of the crisis, Garia, Future Trunks and Chronoa congratulate Shaya on her victory over Mira and Towa.

"Future" Trunks Saga[]

Despite Mira and Towa's downfall, other changes in history continued to arise, making Chronoa wonder who else was behind the changes, and enlits Garia alone to correct the changes. Finding himself in Future Trunks' original timeline, Garia finds himself at odds against Goku Black and Future Zamasu. As Black and Zamasu wonder where Garia came from, they marvel upon their Zero Mortals Plan before Black and Garia engage in battle.

Garia transforms into a Super Saiyan 3 while Black transforms into his Super Saiyan Rosé form, and the two warriors exchange punches, but Garia's power is nowhere near Black's, and Garia is outclassed by Black's power. However, when they exchanged punches, Garia unknowingly absorbed some of Black's godly energy, causing Garia's power to slowly and increasingly ascend, and by the time of Goku and Vegeta's arrival to re-challenge Black, Garia had successfully transformed into a Super Saiyan God thanks to Black's energy, much to everyone else's shock.

Garia himself becomes impressed and excited at his godly power, and becomes determined to defeat Black and Zamasu. However, Black and Zamasu proceed to fuse with the Potara earrings to become Fused Zamasu. The battle heats up, with Super Saiyan God Garia, and Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta being unable to damage Fused Zamasu whatsoever. As Goku and Vegeta plan on fusing themselves, Future Trunks arrives from the Time Nest and assists Garia in battling Fused Zamasu. Garia then opts the two of fusing through the usage of the Fusion Dance, which Future Trunks complies, and the two successfully perform the Fusion Dance and fuse into Garunks.

Just then, Vegito shows up and the two fused beings join forces to battle against Fused Zamasu. Garunks ascends into Super Saiyan while Vegito transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, and the two manage to battle toe-to-toe with Fused Zamasu, although Fused Zamasu's injuries are immediately healed thanks to his immortality. Garunks and Vegito continue to battle, with Garunks further ascending into Super Saiyan 3, and the two fused warriors continue to unleash a barrage of attacks until both fusions run out, with Gowasu explaining that Vegito's fusion wore out early due to him using too much power in a short amount of time.

As Fused Zamasu prepares to deal the finishing blow, the Future Trunks from that time appears and blocks the attack with his sword. As the two of them clash, a wormhole appears in the sky, and Future Trunks receives energy from the Z Fighters, Goku, Trunks and Pan, Future Gohan and his past self, and from countless Time Patrollers from Conton City, allowing Future Trunks to slice Fused Zamasu in half and finish him off once and for all.

After a brief celebration, however, Zamasu's soul remains intact and countless copies of Zamasu appear scattered throughout the Earth. Suddenly, Goku remembers the device that Zeno gave him and Goku activates it, causing Future Zeno to emerge. As history was correcting itself, Garia and Time Patrol Trunks return to the Time Nest as Zeno prepares to erase Zamasu and the future multiverse from existence.

After returning to the Time Nest, Garia and Future Trunks are greeted by Old Kai, Shaya, and Chronoa, who all congratulate them on their successful mission, and Shaya proceeds to infatuate herself over Garia and Future Trunks' fusion, Garunks, with Chronoa also becoming rather infatuated with the fusion's power and looks, with both Garia and Future Trunks becoming rather embarassed.

Dark Dragon Ball Saga[]

Sometime after the battle against Goku Black and Future Zamasu, Garia and Shaya are seen training together, until they are interrupted by an alerted Old Kai, who demands them head over to the Time Nest immediately. When they arrive, Chronoa explains that Towa survived the final battle against Mira and became even stronger after being nominated a Demon God. She continues to explain by saying that with the aid of a Time Breaker Namekian, Towa created the Dark Dragon Balls. She explains that each ball possesses the ability to merge with an evil entity to power them up, along with their ability to grant a wish when gathered, and unlike their various counterparts, the Dark Dragon Balls scatter through time and space.

Chronoa then assigns Garia and Shaya to their most critical mission yet: Gather every Dark Dragon Ball and return them safely to Conton City, where Chronoa would use her powers to completely destroy them to prevent Towa from using them. Travelling back to Age 762, Garia and Shaya witness Frieza merging with the One-Star Dark Dragon Ball, causing Frieza to undergo a Dark Evolution and outclasing Super Saiyan Goku during their battle.

As Frieza knocks out Goku, Garia tells Shaya to tend to Goku's injuries while he battled Frieza and ascends into his Super Saiyan God form. Garia and Frieza battle it out, with Garia slightly managing to withstand Frieza's enhanced attacks, until Garia manages to forcibly remove the One-Star Dark Dragon Ball from his body, reverting Frieza back to normal. However, the One-Star Dark Dragon Ball is snatched off Garia's hands by Demon God Towa, who sarcastically thanks Garia for retrieving it to her before teleporting away, much to Garia's chagrin. As Frieza attempts to attack him, Garia easily knocks him out with a Super God Fist.

At the Demon Realm, Towa hands over the One-Star Dark Dragon Ball to her grandfather, Mechikabura, and together, they list the aid of numerous Time Breakers to gather the remaining Dark Dragon Balls.

Chronoa then discovers two new changes in history, and she splits into two groups: Shaya and Future Trunks would head to one location, while Garia and herself would head to another location. When Garia and Chronoa arrive, they witness Cell merging with the Two-Star Dark Dragon Ball to become Cell-X. Disgusted by Cell's giant and spider-like in appearance, Chronoa almost vomits, but Garia is unfazed at his appearance and transforms into a Super Saiyan God, but Cell-X effortlessly bats him away.

As Cell-X prepares another attack, Gravy appears and attacks Cell-X. Confused at the mysterious individual, Garia asks Chronoa about the individual, and Chronoa explains that Gravy was a wizard from the Demon Realm, and one of Towa's allies. Confused at why Gravy helped them, Garia wonders if Gravy had betrayed Towa, but Chronoa states that Gravy was simply after the Two-Star Dark Dragon Ball infused with Cell-X.

Gravy attempts to retrieve it, but is stopped by Garia, and the two begin battling. However, Cell-X intervenes and begins attacking both of them. Before Cell-X could deliver the finishing blow, Garia is saved in the nick of time by Shaya and Future Trunks, who have arrived from their change in time. Deeming Cell-X too powerful, Chronoa wonders what they could do, and Shaya suggets fusing, to which Chronoa agrees, but doesn't seem to decide who would fuse with who. Interested, Shaya proposes herself to fuse with Chronoa with the Potara, curious at what kind of being it would create. Despite Chronoa becoming rather concerned, her curiousity is even greater than Shaya's and the two females successfully merge with the Potara to create the Chroya, the Supreme Saiyan of Time.

Both Garia and Future Trunks stare in awe at the might power of the merged Chronoa and Shaya. Gravy panics, never expecting Chronoa to fuse with anyone, and slowly retreats from the battlefield. However, Cell-X shows no emotion and simply attacks Chroya, who showcases her ability to manipulate time and space by freezing Cell-X's attack and effortlessly removing the Two-Star Dark Dragon Ball in the blink of an eye, with Garia and Future Trunks being uncapable of even sensing them moving due to her freezing time.

Chroya then charges up an Energy Blade which pierces through Cell-X and slices him in near-invisible pieces. However, Chroya's fusion runs out immediately afterwards, and Chronoa theorises because their powers combined were too much for the Potara to handle, the fusion's time limit decreased from one hour to mere minutes, if not seconds.

Before the Time Patrollers had the chance to return to the Time Nest, Chronoa detects yet another change in history, and fearing an even greater opponent, she enlists the help of Goku and Vegeta. When they arrive, they witness Demon God Dabura being utterly defeated by Kid Buu, who's merged with the Three-Star Dark Dragon Ball. Kid Buu then absorbs Dabura, therefore becoming Demon God Kid Buu. Then, they're all joined by Putine, who attempts to retrieve the Dark Dragon Ball off Kid Buu, who effortlessly defeats Putine after her arrogance backfires against her.

Goku and Vegeta use the Potara to fuse into Vegito. Vegito immediately steps in and the empowered Kid Buu begin fighting where they prove to be a match for each other, exchanging blows on both sides. Vegito fires his Spirit Sword technique directly at Kid Buu but before it reaches him the attack is blocked by the sudden appearance of Chamel. Meanwhile, in another dimension, Turles, who has merged with the Four-Star Dark Dragon Ball, encounters Salsa who has shown up alongside Mechikabura and the Dark-Masked King in order to recover his Dark Dragon Ball.

Suddenly, Vegito diffuses back into Goku and Vegeta, and Chronoa begins to panic, but Garia steps in and ascends into Super Saiyan God and fights Kid Buu. Suddenly, Mechikabura, Towa, the Dark-Masked King and other members of the Dark Empire appear and reveal to have collected the other Dark Dragon Balls and with Towa's power, they also gained control over strong warriors such as Broly and Janemba to help them destroy the Time Patrollers.

Garia squares off against the Dark-Masked King. Despite being under his Super Saiyan God form, Garia's unable to cause much damage to the Dark-Masked King, although Garia does manage to crack his mask, but it does not free him from Towa's control, while also revealing the Dark-Masked King to be none other than King Vegeta. Vegeta becomes shocked and angered at seeing his father as a puppet, but Garia become infuriated at seeing Towa and Mechikabura laughing at having King Vegeta battle alongside them without his own knowledge. Remembering Goku's advice, Garia reverts back to his normal state, although retaining the energy of god and attempts to transform into a Super Saiyan. However, because of the godly energy, Garia instead powers up to a Super Saiyan Blue, much to Towa and Mechikabura's shock.

Garia briefly marvels at his own power before engaging King Vegeta in battle once again, and despite King Vegeta putting up a good fight, Garia's newfound power becomes too much for him to handle, and Garia swiftly defeats him with a Galick Gun. Just then, an enhanced Broly steps in and momentarily overwhelms Garia. Noticing how Blue drained his stamina, Garia began switching from Blue to God in the blink of an eye whenever he charged to attack, with Goku commenting that despite being weaker in terms of power, Super Saiyan God drained less stamina than Super Saiyan Blue, and was easier to control. Through the usage of this trick, Garia manages to defeat and obliterate Broly completely.

The battle between the Time Patrol and the Dark Empire heats up, with Chronoa enlisting the help of almost every available Time Patroller against the Dark Empire on numerous locations throughout space and time, and Garia continues to lead the front lines by killing Janemba. Chronoa engages in battle against Mechikabura, and she undergoes a new transformation, and uses her powers to transport both herself and Mechikabura out of the flow of time entirely, shocking both the Time Patrol and the Dark Empire. The momentarily shock caused by their disappearances allows Garia to completely obliterate Demon God Towa with a God Kamehameha, and forcing the remainder members of the Dark Empire to surrender, although they are all killed to prevent any sort of rebellion.

A few days later, the Time Patrollers have returned to Conton City, and Future Trunks discusses the future of the Time Patrol after Chronoa's disappearance, and Shaya suggests having someone take her role during her absence. Future Trunks agrees and nominates Garia to take her place as the unofficial Supreme Kai of Time. However, Garia says that Future Trunks should assume the role since he had been working with Chronoa longer than anyone else, but Future Trunks states that because Garia was the only Time Patroller that achieved the powers of a deity, he was the most suitable for the role, and all the Time Patrollers expressed their support, and Garia accepted the request and assumed control of the Time Nest and the Time Patrol until Chronoa's return.

Dark King Mechikabura Saga[]

Six months after Chronoa's disappearance, Garia continues to lead the Time Patrol, but also took upon himself to create liberties with the rules of space and time. Garia started by recruiting an incredibly powerful Saiyan named Bukha from an undisclosed timeline, where Bukha's life was plagued with tragedies and destruction, which caused him to become a good-hearted Saiyan whose power was far beyond any other Saiyan in the Time Patrol, and also recruiting an alternate version of Android 21 to help advance the Time Patrol's scientific branch, as well as create a Hyperbolic Time Chamber for Conton City in order to have Time Patrollers train there to increase their abilities in short periods of time.

Being selected as the first one to test the chamber, Garia spent three years inside the chamber, and upon coming out, had grown significantly taller and surprised his allies and teammates with his physical growth. After coming out, Garia is commended for his growth in both height and power when suddenly, Elder Kai warns them about a disturbance in time. The Time Patrol head to Age 790 where they witness Gogeta fighting against Omega Shenron. Soon after arriving, Gogeta's friends and family are under a form of mind control and attack them, and Garia finds himself battling against Majuub while Shaya battles Pan, Xeno Android 21 battles Gohan and Bukha battles Gotenks. Shortly afterwards, Demigra and his henchmen Chamel and Robelu appear. With Towa and Dabura also in the area sporting a new more powerful Demon God state, Robelu tells Garia and Future Trunks to fuse. Doing so, Garia and Trunks fuse into Garunks.

Gogeta is confronted by Fin, and - curious about the Majin's power - allows him to absorb him, becoming Dark Gogeta. Unfortunately for Fin, Gogeta rapidly took control of the absorption. Garunks is instructed to acquire the Dragon Balls from Omega Shenron, but Gogeta ends up obliterating Omega instead. Gogeta, not entirely sure what was going on but noticing Garunks, decided to test himself and Fin by engaging Garunks in combat. Dark Gogeta has an edge over Garunks, until Garunks surprises everyone by transforming into a Super Saiyan 4 to match Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, but their fight is interrupted by Xeno Android 21, who decides to utilize her transformed state, and teams up with Garunks to unleash a powerful combination on Dark Gogeta, sending him crashing to the ground. Xeno Android 21 is astounded to see the Majin stand back up, but is stopped by Garunks, who wonders if Gogeta had "finally woken up", leading to an upper portion of Dark Gogeta's face peeling off and revealing Gogeta in complete control underneath. He apologizes for the misunderstanding, expressing his interest to go head-to-head with another fusion, something that Garunks completely understands and Xeno Android 21 doesn't understand at all.

Gogeta blasts Fin off his back, snarking that he isn't so weak as to get absorbed by the likes of the Majin, a statement that makes Fin furious. When the mind-controlled Chronoa appears and freezes everyone in place, Chamel uses his magic to teleport the Time Patrol and their allies to Demigra's lair, by which time Garunks has defused, presumably leaving Gogeta in his altered timeline. The Time Patrol are told by Chamel of the six Hell Gates and that behind each one lies a Demon God who is maintaining a barrier to Mechikabura's Palace and they must all be defeated. Garia heads through the Blue Hell gate where Salsa is it's protector. Garia and Xeno Android 21 fire a combined Kamehameha but Salsa swings his sword, producing a gale of wind that sends the energy blasts back, causing it to hit Garia and Xeno Android 21 directly. Garia charges in for a physical confrontation but is caught up in Salsa's Trick of Tornado technique which cuts away at him. As Salsa rushes in with his sword to put an end to things, Garia counters by using his Power Pole to hit his opponent in the stomach. With the tornado fading, Garia transforms into a Super Saiyan 4 and fires a second Kamehameha to defeat the demon.

He then returns to the hideout where he is subsequently frozen briefly by the mind controlled Chronoa and later struck by a mass of dark energy belonging to Mechikabura. Heavily injured, unable to fight and with Future Trunks being the only one left standing thanks to his Key Sword, Garia, along with the other Saiyans give Trunks their energy so that he can go on to face Mechikabura at the Time Nest, unexpectedly transforming him into a Super Saiyan God in the process.

After recovering, Garia and the others travel through a rift to the now desolate Time Nest to assist Trunks and Chronoa in their final battle against Mechikabura. Garia having obtained the Key Sword that had been previously thrown away by Mechikabura hands it over to Chronoa so she can recharge it. As the others attempt to buy her some time, Garia and Trunks decide to fuse to battle Mechikabura. They successfully fuse, but much to everyone's surprise, Garunks wasn't the result of their fusion, but rather an entirely new being, who introduces himself as Gaks. A confused Xeno Android 21 questions on Gaks's appearance, and Gaks explains that whenever Garia and Trunks performed the Fusion Dance, Garia remained on the right while Trunks remained on the left, but this time around, they switched positions, and this affected the fusion altogether, creating a new fused being in the process. Gaks then transforms into a Super Saiyan and charges towards Mechikabura, and the two begin battling. This allows enough time for Chronoa to recharge the Key Sword, and hands it over to Gaks. Demigra yanks Mechikabura forward with his chains and Gaks lands another strike. However, this time a large seal baring Chronoa's crest appears across Mechickabura's chest. Gaks and the others have combined all four of the power of the gods, the power of darkness, the power of light, and the power of time in order to seal Mechickabura away. Gaks strikes at him one more time, sealing him away in an "Eternal Labyrinth" while Mechikabura screams out, vowing that he will find a way to escape. After Tokitoki assumes a giant form and restores the Time Nest to it's original state, Gaks realizes his fusion time limit was running out, and decides to see the extent of his power, and powers up, transforming into a Super Saiyan 3, before suddenly defusing, much to Garia and Trunks's dismay, and everyone celebrates their hard earned victory.

Upon returning to the Time Nest, Garia and Chronoa discuss Garia's leadership of the Time Patrol, and Chronoa praises Garia's competent leadership, but does mention his rather liberties with time by bringing Xeno Android 21 and Bukha into the Time Patrol by removing them from their perspective timelines and altering time altogether, but does admit that Garia was backed into a corner due to the circumstances and allows Xeno Android 21 and Bukha to remain in Conton City, especially when Chronoa learns of Xeno Android 21's construction of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in Conton City, which causes an excited Chronoa to ask Xeno Android 21 more about her technology and scientific researches, leaving Xeno Android 21 both flattered and flustered by Chronoa's exaggerated excitement.

Outside the Time Nest, Garia and Shaya decide to have a sparring session inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, with Shaya joking on their age difference due to Garia's time spent inside the chamber, and they both decide to go all-out without hesitation. Once inside the chamber, Garia transforms into a Super Saiyan, but Shaya surprises him by transforming into a Super Saiyan 4, and Garia asks when did she learn how to achieve the form, and Shaya explains that she wished for Shenron to grant her the power to transform, because she was full aware that she was falling behind in power compared to him. Garia smiles and also transforms into a Super Saiyan 4. Garia and Shaya trade blows for several minutes, until they both realize they were equally powerful, and both decide to transform into Super Saiyan Gods, before ascending further into Super Saiyan Blue, where Garia demonstrates being stronger by showcasing his mastery over the transformation by easily outclassing Shaya, who's ultimately defeated.

Power[]

Garia is described as a warrior strong enough to protect all of time and space. After mastering the art of energy, Garia's power allowed him fight toe-to-toe with a experienced martial artist like Master Roshi, but when faced off against opponents such as Raditz, Garia struggled greatly, only defeating Raditz thanks to Goku and Piccolo's aid.

After becoming a full-fledged Saiyan through the usage of the Dragon Balls, Garia's power increased dramatically within seconds, which allowed him swiftly defeat countless Saibamen, and despite struggling, fight an empowered Nappa almost equally. During the Namek Saga, Garia was capable of battling against an empowered Captain Ginyu, and even after having his body swapped with Ginyu's, was quickly able to adapt to Ginyu's body and easily defeat Guldo and numerous soldiers of the Frieza Force.

While training with Goku, Garia's power increased further after transforming into a Super Saiyan, with Goku himself remarking that Garia's potential was mightier than his own, and perhaps even more than Gohan's. Garia's newfound power enabled him to battle toe-to-toe with an empowered Future Cell, who was in his Perfect Form, and although struggling, single-handedly defeat both Future Android 17 and Future Android 18.

During the Buu Saga, Garia tapped deeper into his hidden potential, first by battling on par with several smaller, yet powerful, versions of Majin Buu, and later battling against an empowered Kid Buu, while also achieving in unlocking his Super Saiyan 2 form during the battle, and his abilities were further sharpened after training with Vegeta after the battle against Kid Buu.

Garia's powers also caught the attention of the God of Destruction Beerus, who remarked that despite not possessing the powers of a Deity, his powers were remarkably high for a mortal, and should Garia reach the realms of the gods, his power could even rival his own someday. During his final battle against Demigra, Garia's power further ascended by becoming a Super Saiyan 3, allowing him fight on par with Demigra, and eventually destroy him completely (although receiving help from the spirits of the Z Fighters).

Two years after the final battle against Demigra, Garia's power further increased, and allowed him to fight equally against a revived, and more dangerous, Mira, but was ultimately captured by Mira and Towa and placed under their control, and with Towa's influence further increasing his powers, of which Garia retained even after being freed from her control. During the "Future" Trunks Saga, Beerus's premonition finally became a reality after Garia ascended into a Super Saiyan God after unknowingly absorbing some of Goku Black's godly energy while exchanging punches, although Garia still wasn't capable of battling Black under his Super Saiyan Rosé form.

During the Dark Dragon Ball Saga, Garia's growing godly power reached new heights after Garia managed to transform into Super Saiyan Blue during his battle against an enhanced King Vegeta, allowing him to defeat King Vegeta, and fight Broly and Janemba simultaneously without using too much of his power. Following Chronoa's disappearance after teleporting herself and Mechikabura away from the flow of time, Garia was nominated by the Time Patrollers to assume her role until her return due to Garia being the only Time Patroller capable of using the powers of a deity.

During his mission on stopping a distortion in time on Age 762, Garia found himself battling against Captain Ginyu and Jeice. During the battle, Ginyu was about to switch bodies with Goku, but Garia was punched in front of the attack by Jeice, causing Garia to switch bodies with Ginyu instead.

Despite being unfamiliar with Ginyu's body, Garia proved himself to be quickly able to adapt to Ginyu's body, effortlessly defeating Guldo and countless members of the Frieza Force after joining up with Krillin and Gohan, and also being capable of battling Ginyu (who was on Garia's body) without much struggle, before ultimately successfully switching back to his own body.

After realizing the weaknesses inherent to the higher Super Saiyan grades, Garia concluded that mastery over the basic Super Saiyan form would be more advantageous and went on to improve his endurance in that form. To which, he trained to maintain Super Saiyan form for extended periods of time, gradually overcoming the heightened aggression that accompanies this form and reducing the energy drain to nearly nothing, thus achieving a max output for a Super Saiyan without drawbacks. This allows him to fight at his full potential and not lose energy like an untrained Super Saiyan.

This form multiples Garia's power 100 fold. Garia achieved this transformation during his battle against Kid Buu after pushing his body and energy beyond his limits. In this form, Garia's appearance gains some changes; his hair grows longer and spikier, his forehead has only three bangs over it, making his hair more defined than his other previous Super Saiyan forms, along with disappearing hair strands surrounding the forehead which are exclusive to this form. His muscles also become more defined and his aura also generates electricity surrounding his body, while the aura grows markedly larger and more vibrant.

In terms of power, this transformation allowed Garia to briefly catch Kid Buu off-guard, and enabled Garia to score a few punches on Buu, but was nonetheless overpowered by the powerful Majin. While training with Vegeta, Garia battled under this form against Super Vegeta, in which both of them fought on par, after which Vegeta even acknowledged his power, although declaring himself superior (mostly due to his pride).

Garia achieved this transformation during his final battle against Demigra. This transformation causes some stark changes in Garia's appearance. The trademark characteristic of the transformation is Garia's hair: the rigid hair of the Super Saiyan 2 state becomes flowing and smooth again, and grows down to Garia's waist. His eyebrows vanish completely, making the forehead and eye ridges appear larger and revealing a more prominent brow ridge.

Because of the form's overwhelming strain and loss of energy, Garia was never fully capable of fighting at full power while under this form, but was nonetheless capable of slightly catching Beerus' attention, although it was only because of the destruction the form caused around the area.

Garia unlocked this powerful, yet mythical, transformation by accident during his battle against Goku Black after unknowingly absorbing some of Black's godly energy through a fist battle, allowing Garia's power to slowly, and increasingly grow to the point of achieving this form.

Garia's appearance in this form is slimmer with bright red hair shaped similar to that of his base form, red irises, slightly thinner, and a darker skin tone. His aura generates like an orange flame. Because Garia was capable of achieving this form without the ritual, Garia's Super Saiyan God form has no time limit, although Garia's inexperience with the form causes him to suffer great strain and energy loss, but by the time of the Dark Dragon Ball Saga, Garia has overcome these flaws and gained almost complete mastery over this form.

Saiyan beyond God

Garia was able to obtain this state by taking on and then dropping out of Super Saiyan God. He is able to access the god-like power without changing forms. As explained by Whis, that in order to retain this state, the Saiyan must raise their energy while also controlling it so it does not leak out - it is noted by Garia that initially it is very demanding to keep all the energy inside, while also calling it intense, and thus requires absolute ki control to maintain it.

Super Saiyan Blue

Garia accessed this transformation during his battle against an empowered King Vegeta. This form is identical to the Super Saiyan form, only with cyanish-blue hair and a blue aura shaded with some gold. The form's power surpasses Super Saiyan God and is a level beyond that offers increased levels of ki and emotional control.

However, this form has a flaw caused by prolong and repeated usages. While not nearly as prominent as other Super Saiyan form, Super Saiyan Blue's peak power can only be maintained for a short period before gradually decreasing from stamina drain. However, Garia formulated an ingenious manner on to fully utilize the form's powers without wasting too much energy.

To make extensive use of Super Saiyan Blue, Garia developed a trick to repeatedly and instantly switch between his God form and Blue form, allowing him to conserve and more quickly recover the full power of Super Saiyan Blue, letting him fight for much longer periods unhindered.

Perfected Super Saiyan Blue

Garia's Perfected Super Saiyan Blue

Garia as a Perfected Super Saiyan Blue.

Similar to a regular, unrefined Super Saiyan, a Super Saiyan Blue possesses inherently poor stamina. Because of this, a Super Saiyan Blue would usually be able to maintain peak levels of ability for only the brief period following their initial transformation before exhaustion sets in and performance begin to plummet rapidly. Garia addressed this issue by thoroughly training and improving his Super Saiyan Blue form to build up his endurance. As a result of this training, he developed the technique of containing and harnessing his radiating aura inside his body through intense, continuous concentration and uses it to bolster his power. With this method, Garia had achieved mastery over the form, allowing him to realize the full potential of Super Saiyan Blue. In essence, this is a state where the Super Saiyan Blue operates at maximum power indefinitely, making it vastly superior to the basic Super Saiyan Blue.

In many aspects, this state is similar to a Super Saiyan Full Power in regards to the fact that they are refined versions of a normal form. However, similar to the Super Saiyan Full Power state, a Perfected Super Saiyan Blue requires time and focus to achieve. There is even more skill involved in maintaining this state, as the Saiyan must be capable of prolonged periods of intense mental and physical concentration in order to continuously contain the influx of ki within their body. Inability to do so results in an immediate eruption of ki in even the smallest areas, followed by equally immediate and acute pain. The mastery over this form is displayed with the lack of the usual blue aura surrounding it, with the aura only being visible when Garia powers-up whilst under this form.

Super Saiyan 4

Garia achieved this transformation through undisclosed methods, although Garia mentioned that it took a lot of effort and training to merely achieve the form, and even more effort to control it. While under this form, Garia's overall appearance changes dramatically. His muscles become larger and more defined, and gains the appearance of a full-fledged adult. His hair grows longer and wilder, reaching his mid-back. He also gains golden-yellow irises and the pigments around his eyes become lined in red.

The most defining change of his appearance is his body being covered in scarlet fur covering from shoulder-to-toe, excluding his chest and hands. Because of this, his upper clothes are torn to shreds, leaving him only dressed below the waist, excluding his gloves. The power of this form is vastly greater to Super Saiyan 3 with less drawbacks. Garia is easily able to match opponents such as Super Buu and Perfect Cell. Furthermore, Garia was able to dispose of Future Android 17 and Future Android 18 within seconds because of their gap in power.

Garunks

Through the usage of the Fusion Dance, Garia and Future Trunks can merge together to create one powerful warrior known as Garunks. Garunks was first formed during Garia and Future Trunks' battle against Fused Zamasu after deeming their individual powers not enough to challenge him.

Garunks' power was capable of allowing him to fight toe-to-toe against Fused Zamasu (although receiving the help from Vegito Blue). Vegito himself remarked that should both of them spar in a match, Garunks could probably cause critical damage to him, although Vegito never made it clear whether Garunks could actually defeat him.

Gaks

Gaks

During their final battle against Mechikabura, Garia and Future Trunks successfully performed the Fusion Dance, but unknowingly switched positions (for Garunks, Garia remained on the right while Trunks remained on the left), and as a result of the change, Gaks emerged from their fusion.

Much like his counterpart, Gaks's power was far beyond comprehension, and Gaks actually surpassed Garunks in some aspects, such as gaining complete mastery over Super Saiyan 3, which was enough to match Mechikabura in power.
