Cell was the Ultimate Creation of Dr. Gero, who came from an alternate timeline.
Appearance[]
Thanks to rigorous, harsh training from Towa and Mira after being revived as well as the power he gained using the Namekian-style Fusion on the future Cell from Future Trunks' erased timeline and some ki from Demigra enabled him to achieve a new form.
In this form - Cell's exoskeleton becomes pine green and some his speckles disappear as the shape of his head resembles Genome's head shape in the Super God state while his exoskeleton resembles Genome's Class-up exoskeleton albeit with the lack of Red Ribbon logo. His ears and chin change from changes from yellow to blood red, and his eyes become the same shade of purples as the aura of the Dark Magic transformation. Additionally, he gains black markings under his eyes similar to Demigra's marking while the purple markings from his Perfect form remain. Additionally, he gains an aura just like the Super Saiyan 3 aura complete with bio-electricity.
In this state - his far stronger than ever before and even surpassed Potential Unleashed Gohan and Super Saiyan 2 Turles. Unlike his Super Perfect Form - this state is not a permanent transformation as Cell switch between the forms freely.
Personality[]
After being reaching his newest form - Cell's rather than his ego become anymore inflated - it seems that he is more cautious but retains his cocky, arrogant personality. He also seems to be narrow-minded as when Gohan arrived in Cell's Future - Cell chose to ignore Turles and go after Gohan, however, Cell was greatly disappointed by Gohan to have less power than he had as a kid.

Cell is yet to make an official appearance in Dragon Ball Super although he has made an indirect appearance in the anime and manga.
Z/Super Saga[]

Cell was revived by Towa and given training and the ability to use the Namekian Fusion on an alternate timeline counterpart version of in order to reach a new power even beyond his Super Perfect Form. Cell battled Turles at Super Saiyan 2 and was able to overpower him before turning his attention to Gohan.
Other stories[]
After Cell is freed from the control of the Timebreakers; he's imprisoned at Conton City and mostly taunts Future Gohan and even Gohan. He was later ordered by Beerus to assist them, and was allowed to train until his assistance was necessary.
Power[]
Cell was resurrected at an unknown time by Towa where he received rigorous training even harsher than Past Vegeta or his fellow Time Breakers were granted. As a result; he far more powerful than ever was during the Cell Games.
Upon transforming into his newest form - he dwarfs Super Saiyan 2 Turles in power and is even able to toss his past self away with ease.
After Naraku augments the powers of everyone in Rola's cell; Cell's power increases to Gravoom's power.

Imperfect Cell
Imperfect Cell (不完全体セル Fukanzentai Seru) or 1st form Cell (第ー形態セル Dai Ichi Keitai Seru). Cell's Imperfect State is the second for assumed by Cell - while in this form he absorbs the life-force out ordinary Humans and manages to obtain an aura similar to Super Saiyan.

Semi-Perfect Cell
Semi-Perfect Cell, Second Form (第2形態 Dai Ni Keitai), or 2nd Form Cell (第2形態セル Dai Ni Keitai Seru), as result of Cell absorbing Android 17; he enters his Semi-Perfect State, and as result his power skyrocket to the point that not even Android 16 (who was stronger than Cell in his Imperfect State) could faze.
- Perfect
Perfect Cell
Perfect Cell (完全体セル Kanzentai Seru), also called Cell: Perfect form. Cell's Perfect State as a result of absorbing Android 18, and becomes even stronger than Super Saiyan Second Grade. However, he was easily dominated by Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, and managed to humiliate him.
In the Xenoverse series, this form is called Cell (Perfect) and achieves it by absorbing Android 17 and 18 at the same time rather than individually bypassing his Semi-Perfect form altogether.
This form combined with Dark Magic transformation allowed Cell to overwhelm Gohan's power and even dwarfed Teen Gohan's power when combined with Supervillain, however, Super Saiyan 2 Dark Teen Gohan was able to dwarf Supervillain Perfect Cell.
- Self-Destruct Form
Self-Destruct Cell
Cell's form used while using his Self-Destruct technique; his transforms into a bloated version of himself, and reduced himself to a single cell. Following the loss of Android 18 and his Perfect form. Cell reverts to his Semi-Perfect were Gohan manages to pick him apart, however, out of desperation Cell proceeded to inflate himself using his ki.
In this state - Cell claims that any type of shock inflicted upon him will cause him to explode. In was through this form that Cell was able to kill King Kai, Bubbles, Gregory, and Goku. This form would prove instrumental in Cell's next evolution.
- Super Perfect
Super Perfect Cell
Super Perfect Cell (超完全体セル Chō Kanzentai Seru), also called Revived Cell (復活セル Fukkatsu Seru). After Cell blew himself up and regenerated into his Perfect form; he was powered up by Saiyan Power and was able to injure Gohan.
While in this state; Cell was able to generate a strong enough will to break free of the Dark Magic transformation in order to prove Dial that he didn't need anyone's help to achieve his goals.
Following his resurrection by the Time Breakers - Cell retained this form and seemed to be even more powerful than before indicating that he was able to train after his resurrection.
- Dark Magic transformation
As a result of Towa's distortions - Cell was forced into the Dark Magic transformation and was able to use it alongside his Perfect form and Super Perfect form.
In this form - Cell gains a purple aura along with his eyes glowing red briefly as well as his power increasing immensely.
- Supervillain
Cell was able to use the full power of the Supervillain state after being forced into form giving him a white and blue hue, a hot pink broken Infinity symbol on his head, glowing hot pink eyes, and a black and white aura.
In this form; Cell's power dwarves even Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan, however, with the combined power of Towa's Dark Magic and the power received from Goku and Chronoa from the Time Nest resulted in Dark Teen Gohan dwarfing Supervillain Cell's power.
- Perfection Evolved

Golden Cell
Thanks to rigorous, harsh training from Towa and Mira. Cell was able to take his new power one step further and achieve the Ultimate Evolution which he promptly named Golden Cell.
In this form - all but Cell's hands, kneecaps, and face become Golden while his hands, and face become purple like Frieza's Golden form while the orb on his head, plates on his kneecaps, and either side of his ankles become purple while gaining a purple gem plate in the centre on his chest and additional plates each on his arms. His eyes become the same shade of red as Frieza's and the blacking markings from his Perfection Evolved from remain.
He is able to take on this form in his Perfection Semi-Evolved state. However, he is not as powerful and is on par with Golden-Masked Gohan.

As a result of the loss of Future Cell - Cell proceeded to undergo another change.
Cell's exoskeleton returns to his original shade of green while also gaining his black spots over the green sections of his exoskeleton. His stingers returns to his original colour while his ears, and chin become orange. His irides become steel pink and shrinks slightly in size.
While - he is not as powerful as was when Future Cell was fused with him; he is still able to overpower Super Saiyan 3 Future Trunks and Potential Unleashed Gohan.
- Golden Perfect Cell
The act of Cell using his Golden form in his Super Perfect form. In this form; his exoskeleton becomes golden while his hands and face become purple.
- Super Perfect Evolution

Cell was able to achieve his own version of the Super Fourth Transformation and Super Saiyan God by absorbing life energy from an Infinite Zamasu clone. As a result his head reshapes to its original form in his Super Perfect State along with his exoskeleton returning a similar appearance, however, his exoskeleton becomes crimson red while his dots become dark crimson red. Cell alternatively calls this form his "Beyond Perfect" state.
He was strong enough to overpower Fourth Transformation Cooler and following his return during the battle against Demigra - he was even stronger than before being able to almost match Super Emerald Super Fourth Transformation Dial in power.

Cell was able to force Pybara to train him to perfect his Spirit Control while also being taught to control his ki. As a result - his exoskeleton and specks become blue and dark blue respectively. The cyan sections between his exoskeleton becomes yellow and the red marking on the side of his face become light blue. He gains a spike on each of his shoulders. His irises become blue and his pupil becomes dark blue.

- Beyond Perfect
In the pre-revamp story; After receiving training from Whis; Cell was able obtain a brand new form. While in this form; his exoskeleton becomes red along with his eyes, and grows extra wings. He gains a flame-like aura and red lightning streaks, and his purple lines on cheeks become red. His irises become red as well and purple sections between his exoskeleton become cyan. His ears and chin become black while the purple markings either side his face become red.
- Great Beyond
After absorbing Fused EX Zamasu's Life Force; however due to being immortal - he is unable to kill him outright and manages to gain some of his power to point of undergoing a new transformation. His new form is morphs his Perfect Form even further as his black plates become gold, his eyes become red, and his exoskeleton becomes blue. He gains blue lines on his face, and his face becomes purple along with his hands and "shoes".
