Gine is a female Saiyan, the wife of Bardock, & the mother of Raditz & Kakarot.
Appearance[]
Gine is a woman of average height and slender build. She has a lighter-pale skin complexion, onyx eyes, and shaggy black hair reaching her shoulders. Her hair bears a resemblance to her eldest son Raditz', except much shorter and with bangs. On Planet Vegeta She wore a sleeveless black bodysuit and pink combat armor highlighted with lime and outlined by white, in addition to blue armbands and white boots. Her armor also had a thigh-length hoop. Like all Saiyans, she naturally possesses a tail, however which unlike most adult Saiyans, she lets sway freely rather than securing it around her waist. For a few years she wore Yardarat clothing on top of her armor & after settling down an Earth she wore a pink gi with a blue undershirt, green armbands, & black biker shorts.
Personality[]
Gine has gentle a caring personality similar to her youngest son and both her grandsons, and because of that, she was viewed as weak. When she began her training with Bardock she became more daring, confident, & a little sassy on occasion, however when in a high tense battle she will have a rage out ,a trait that her oldest grandson inherited. She developed a genuine union of companionship with her mentor ,Bardock; a rare case for saiyans, who normally do not develop male-female relationships except for breeding purposes. However, despite her gentleness, she can be protective of her family & others who she cares about. She developed a sense of justice sometime after Planet Vegeta's destruction & before she temporarily joined the Galactic Patrol.
Background[]
Gine used to be a member of Bardock's Planet Elite Force. While she was a part of that team, Bardock routinely saved her from many dangers on the battlefield. During one mission where Bardock was critically injured she had her first rage boost & eliminated her opponents before passing out. After Bardock heard about this after recovering he decided help get her in shape and control her anger. This caused her to develop romantic feelings for him, which Bardock eventually began to return and the two grew to have a special bond & eventually they were married. After she gave birth to her & Bordock's first son Raditz, Gine went on to be a stay at home mother & hunt the most dangerous creatures off world to cook at the meat distribution center on Planet Vegeta. She later gave birth to a second son Kakarot. After Kakarot was released from incubation she started training him & taking him with her during her hunts along with Raditz.
Age 739: Before the recall of the saiyans & after Raditz has left after a long day of hunting Gine places Kakarot in the nursery tank for a nap before getting a call from Serpia asking for her assistance on Planet Meat. She arrives on Planet Meat to help only for everyone to get ambushed by Dodoria and 2 underlings after Toma get the recall message from Leek. Gine was the only one to survive this encounter and barely escaped with her life. Upon her return she attempts to inform the other saiyans that Frieza is going to destroy them all as Dodoria had bragged about, but everyone laughs at her claim not believing her. Feeling humiliated she returns home distraught & angry. Bardock arrives home and begins to tell Gine about his suspicions but, she cuts him off & confirms what he is saying also telling him what happened on Planet Meat. Bardock is now furious not just because of his squad's slaughter but also at the other saiyans for humiliating Gine. The two of them make the tough decision to send Kakarot off-world. Gine informs Raditz that Kakrot is being sent off-world while getting into a pod of her own. Her original plan was go and find Raditz, however due to debris hitting her pod upon the planet's destruction knocks her off course and she eventually lands on Planet Yardrat. She is then taken to Pybara where she explains herself. Pybara is willing to help and tells Gine that she is welcome to stay as long as she needs to.
Age 752-753: After training on Yardarat for 10 years Gine uses instant transmission to leave & ends up in the middle of a fight between The Galactic Patrol & a gang of powerful criminals that is too powerful for the Galactic Patrol Group fighting them. Gine had no trouble dispatching the criminals & saving the Galactic Patrol squad. After going back to the GP headquarters & agreeing to temporarily work for the Galactic Patrol she ends up on Earth reuniting with Kakarot & meeting his friends. She watched him compete in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai & helped him in King Piccolo's Defeat.
