Dial's Day Job is the 83rd chapter of Dragon Ball Advanced and the 1st chapter of the Super Bardock Saga and the 11th volume "The Father of Goku".

Plot[]

Dial arrived in Age 753 after he learned of an alteration occur involving King Piccolo. King Piccolo uses Bloody Sauce and fires it at Pilaf's Flying Base destroy it and killing Pilaf and his gang, and Piano. Just before the Namekian as a chance to destroy the region with another energy attack - Dial arrives and punches King Piccolo into the ground.

However, the evil Namekian recovered from the attack and proceeded to level the area with Explosive Demon Wave killing Tien and destroying Chiaotzu's corpse. Dial became angered by the Namekian heartless attack and delivered a thunderous right hook to King Piccolo's jaw. Dial refused to let up his onslaught as he pummeled the Namekian relentlessly.

Dial dodges an attack from King Piccolo and attempts to kick him by the evil Namekian dodges his kick and flips away to gain some distance. However, Dial appears behind him and strikes him down with a punch to the back head followed up with a kick to the waist - sending him flying. Dial creates an energy sphere in each of his hands and rushes at the Namekian but King Piccolo experience a second boost and enters Supervillain. Dial's attack connects resulting in a small explosion as he comments about that power.

Dial punched away King Piccolo's Explosive Demon Brine sending the wave into a rock resulting in a large explosive before charging into King Piccolo and send him crashing into the ground. King Piccolo recovered but Dial used the dust to disappear from his eye line. Dial sprouts from the ground behind him and used Final Kamehameha. King Piccolo is obliterated by the energy attack, however, before he had time to rest - he was alerted to a distortion in Age 750 by his Time Communicator.

Dial used his communicator to arrive at the base of Korin's Tower to find Towa attacking young Goku and killed Upa in order to use Shenron to revive the Red Ribbon Army. Towa chastised Dial for being late but the Time Patroller wasn't having any of her sass and simply launched a ki blast at her but she manages to teleport away and arrive at the Red Ribbon Army Headquarters.

Dial managed to arrive at the headquarters but stopped as Staff Officer Black was launched out of a window and crashed into the ground below as Commander Red appeared piloting Staff Officer Black's Battle Jacket and it was evident that the suit was granted Towa's Dark Magic.

Commander Red declared his intentions and fired the suits Blaster and Rocket Launcher. Dial easily knocks the rockets away with his kiai before deflecting the blaster beam away. Commander Red followed up with Bloody Blitz while a Full Power Energy Wave was also fired at him. Dial became suspicious as it seemed that Commander Red wasn't only one using the suit. Commander Red also questioned the events and wondered if Towa didn't entirely trust him to take down Dial.

Dial wrapped his tail around the suits left arm and attempted to hurl it into the ground but the suit seemed to be acting of its own and punched him in the face with its free arm. However, Dial let go of the arm and proceeded to kick the machine in its torso - cracking the machine. Dial proceeded to throw the machine over his shoulder and followed up with a kick sending him into Commander Red's private chambers. Commander Red angrily berated the jacket as he fired a rocket at Dial but the Time Patrol once again knocked it away with his kiai sending it into one of the satellite dishes.

Dial launched his Galick Gun at the machine and Commander Red but the Battle jacket managed to dodge it in time. The Headquarters was once again in ruins after Dial's attack as Commander Red cursed his luck. Dial proceeded to take the tyrant by surprise and managed to deliver a powerhouse punch to the Battle Jacket's cockpit - the impact managed to knock out Commander Red. After a comment made by Dial to the machine - it proceeded to enter Supervillain and ejected Commander Red - sending the tyrannical leader into the vacuum of space.

The Battle Jacket proceeded with Pickled Spear but it missed and hit the base of Korin's Tower instead - killing the young Goku and destroyed the area the tower. Dial became furious and angrily attacked the Battle Jacket with a relentless flurry of punches and kicks. Now with full autonomy - the machine proceeded to battle with its own battle countering each of Dial's punches and kicks before punching him square in the gut.

Dial was amazed by the Battle Jacket's power and questioned how a lifeless machine can use Supervillain state as it shaves off the user's life. Towa revealed to him that the suit used Commander Red's life-force in order to enter Supervillain. Dial managed to grab the machine's fist and proceeded to deliver uppercuts to its midsection before hitting him with Ki Blast Uppercut Thrust.

Dial managed to move away before his ki exploded and stated that it'll take more than a machine to stop him. Towa laughed at his statement which prompted Dial to enter Reborn Dial. He easily overpowered the Battle Jacket in this form and proceeded to use Forced Spirit Fission in order to force Commander Red's energy out of the robot's body and caused the Battle Jacket to lose its Supervillain state. Dial was about to finish off the robot until Putine arrived on the scene and forced the Battle Jacket to undergo a Dark Evolution transforming it into a giant robot. The Battle Jacket used Rocket Storm but Dial once again sent them to the ground with his kiai but the suit wasn't down as it managed to get directly above him and fires its Laser Blast from its stomach at him.

The explosion was so large that the entire Headquarters and section of the forest around it was reduced to a wasteland. Dial was mildly injured by the attack and proceeded to try and use his technique again but the Battle Jacket is much faster resulting in Dial being unable to use his technique. As a result - Dial ceased his attempts at using Forced Spirit Fission and dodged an attack from the Battle Jacket.

Dial swarmed the Battle Jacket with his Galick Beam Barrage and managed to damage the machine mildly. Dial didn't waste any time as he resumed his onslaught against the Battle Jacket but it continued to counter him and nearly broke the Time Patrols arm, however, Dial managed to get away in time.

Meanwhile, in Age 775, she used her first wish to Shenron to revive Dabura, however, Dabura used the second wish to regain the power he had while under Babidi's control after realising that he no longer had the power and was in fact weaker. She proceeded to make a World Portal and used it to connect to Turles' Parallel World and the era that he died before using the final wish to revive him. Shenron seemed to know about the World Portal and commented about before the wish was made and granted.

Meanwhile, in the interest of time, Dial continued his battle with the Battle Jacket. He proceeded to deliver several powerful punches to the machine and managed to sever the Battle Jacket's right arm, left leg, and damaged the cockpit. Seeing the machine damaged; Dial decided to end it all in his next attack as he challenged the machine to test its strength against his next attack. As he charged his attack - the wind began to change while electricity began to shoot out from his body. As he placed his hands in the firing position for Final Flash - he caused even more sparks to fly off around him. Upon shouting Final Flash - a massive energy wave shot out of from Dial and crashed into the Battle Jacket. Putine was shocked at the sheer magnitude of the fully charged Final Flash. The Battle Jacket was completely disintegrated by energy blast as Dial redirected the energy wave into space.

As a result of the energy wave - Dial was short of breath and began to slowly descend to the ground. Dial decided to spare Putine and

  • Dial: So that's the distortion? Why him?
  • Tien: Wh-who are you?
  • Dial: A friend - that's all you need to know for now.
King Piccolo destroys the airship
  • Piano: Why!?
  • Dial: This guy ain't messing around!
  • Tien: That fiend! How could he do that to his own allies?
  • King Piccolo: Allies? I was merely using them just as they were using me.
  • Dial: What a cruel and capricious king you are. I don't care if they were villains - seeing people treat someone as a tool makes my blood boil.
  • King Piccolo: You feelings make you weak and will be your downfall.
Dial vs King Piccolo... Tien's Death
  • Dial: Not gonna happen!
  • King Piccolo: GAH! You gonna pay for striking me!
  • Tien: Could this guy be the hope we were looking?
  • King Piccolo: Take this!
  • Tien: (Shocked)
  • Dial: What are you doing!? (after the explosion and Tien's death) You monster!
  • King Piccolo: Serve you ri-(Dial strikes King Piccolo)

  • King Piccolo: (After entering Supervillain but being hit by Dial's attack) Damn it!
  • Dial: What is that power? It reeks of evil.

  • Dial: Nope. (As it punches it away)
  • King Piccolo: Impossible! (Dial charges him) Get back here you coward! (After Dial uses the dust to cover his movements
  • Dial: (After Dial emerges from the ground) Behind you! Final! Ka...me...ha...me...HA!!!!
  • King Piccolo: GAAAH!!!!
  • Dial: (After an alert from his Time Communicator pings) Now what? Seriously? Another Time Distortion!? Age 750 this time - another Kid Goku era. Great.

  • Dial: You gotta be kidding me after all that. I guess I'll make a note for Lady Chronoa to clean all this up.
  • Towa: (After Dial arrives) Please revive all the members of the Red Ribbon Army that were killed by Goku and Staff Officer Black. (After noticing Dial) A little late to the scene.. once again. Are you losing your touch, Dial?
  • Dial: You won't get away with this!

  • Dial: What the!? (As Staff Officer Black falls before his eyes)
  • Commander Red: Oh ignore that my friend! He was treacherous so I executed him.
  • Dial: That Robot Suit of yours seems to be giving off some nasty vibes.
  • Commander Red: A wonderful scientist gave me a choice; kill you and I'll get the wish I want or she'll turn me into her puppet and force me to kill you. Either I'm too kill you and that's what I'll do.
  • Dial: What the!? (As Commander Red used his suits Blaster and Rocket Launcher)

  • Dial: Too easy (as he repels both attacks)
  • Commander Red: Take a Bloody Blitz then!
  • Dial: Why did he fire an Energy wave as well? (As Dial avoids the energy sphere but is hit by energy wave). Is the suit also acting autonomously?
  • Commander Red: Did she also give this suit some autonomy? Doesn't she trust me?
  • Commander Red (after Dial throws the jacket into the Red's private room): Are you attacking on your own!? At least I still have some control over you!
  • Dial: GALICK GUN!
Dial vs the Battle Suit
  • Dial (after the Headquarters was reduced to ruins): You shouldn't have dropped your guard!
  • Commander Red: Stupid machine! Protect me!
  • Dial (after Red was knocked out): Now it's just you and me!
  • Dial (after the Battle Jacket destroyed the area around Korin's Tower and killed Kid Goku): DAMN YOU!
  • Dial: How's this thing even able to use Supervillain? I was given the impression that it shaved off one's life when they take on the form but this thing is just a machine with no life-force.
  • Towa: You are correct to have that impression. And to answer your question - the Battle Jacket simply used Commander Red's life-force in place of its own lack of life-force to enter the form.
  • Dial: It'll take more than some machine to stop me! (As he repeatedly uppercuts the Machine in the midsection) Away with you! (As Dial uses Ki Blast Uppercut Thrust) It'll take more than some robot to stop me. (As he looked over at Towa.)
  • Towa: Is that a fact? (As she laughed)
  • Dial: Enough of this! I'm ending this now! HAAA!! (As Dial began powering up)
Dial uses Forced Spirit Fission on the Battle Jacket
  • Dial: Take this! (the Battle Jacket's energy flickers)
  • Towa: What's happening? Why is it's energy fading away?
  • Dial: The Battle Jacket is using Commander Red's life-force in order to use Supervillain. So I took the presumption that he hasn't entirely shaved off all his stolen life-force yet and as such I'm using Forced Spirit Fission to send the life-force energy back to where it came from.
  • Towa: NO! That's not fair! (The Battle Jacket loses Supervillain)
  • Dial: And now it shall perish! Galick...
Putine arrives and uses Dark Evolution
  • Putine: Not gonna happen! (Putine ports in and aways her sceptre at the Battle Jacket)
  • Towa: Putine!?
  • Putine: Let's if you can handle this! (Putine forces Dark Evolution upon the Battle Jacket)
  • Dial: You think just being making it bigger - it'll give you the advantage?
Dial vs the Giant Battle Jacket
  • Dial: And this is my day job? Why didn't I become something simpler like a retail worker? or a bartender?
  • Dial: (After he failed to land his Forced Spirit Fission) I guess I'll just have to use physical force. Take this! (As he fires his Galick Beam Barrage).
  • Dial: (After he manages to prevent the Battle Jacket from breaking his arm) This was close but I won't let you get hold of my like that again!
Towa in Age 775
  • Towa: Eternal Dragon! Come forth and grant my wish!
  • Shenron: I am the Eternal Dragon - state your wish so I may go.
  • Towa: Please revive Dabura
  • Shenron: Very well!
  • Dabura: (After he is revived) What is this? Where am I?
  • Towa: I had this Eternal Dragon revive you.
  • Dabura: He can do that? You can do that?
  • Shenron: Yes I can. Such a wish is well within my power to grant.
  • Dabura: I seemed to be weaker than I was under the control of that runt - Babidi. Is it within your power to allow me to regain that power?
  • Shenron: I will try. (After a few minutes - Shenron's eyes glow). Your wish has been granted. Tell me your third and final wish.
  • (Towa after some thought creates the World Portal)
  • Shenron: A World Portal!?
  • Towa: You know about it?
  • Shenron: I've heard stories but I thought they were just stories. I can even sense energy from there.
  • Towa: Good then you should be able to grant this wish. There's a Saiyan from the era that I connected to - his name is Turles. Please Revive him.
  • Shenron: I'll give it a try. (After a few minutes - Shenron's eyes glow). Your wishes have been granted. I must go now.
End of the Battle Jacket
  • Dial: HA! (Dial strikes the machine damaging it. After he gains some distance and examined the Battle Jacket) Alright you oversize hunk of metal - if you want to really test your strength, then stay right where you are! (Dial begins charging his attack)
  • Dial: (After getting into the firing pose for Final Flash) Now then! Take this! FINAL FLASH!
  • Putine: (While witnessing the sheer power of Final Flash) This is not good! So much power!
  • Dial: (After descending to the ground) Get out here Putine! I'll spare you this time. Now go.
  • Putine: Here. (Putine puts her sceptre at Dial) Just a little something for sparing me. (After healing Dial - Putine leaves)
  • Dial: (After an alert from his Time Communicator pings) Chronoa has called an emergency!? This can't be good!
