About the Comic[]
DB Sai is the creation of the famous Japanese doujinshi author, DragonGarowLEE.
It proposes an intriguing what-if scenario where Goku and Vegeta swapped places, so Vegeta was the one sent to Earth when his home planet exploded.
The fan comic is currently on an indefinite hiatus since 2016 due to the author's work on Yoshihiko and his official work for Shueshia on a Yamcha fan comic. There hasn't yet been any word on if he plans to continue as of January 6, 2019.
Prologue[]
In an accompanying comic (by the same author), called "Super Vegeta Den" Vegeta's mother is crying as she puts her child in a space pod, programming it to be sent to Earth while King Vegeta goes to fight Freeza to give his child time to escape.
Once Vegeta lands on Earth, he is quickly found by Kame-Sennin, who reads his mind and quickly realizes he's an alien. At which point, he calls upon Son Gohan to look after the child. He dies in a presumably similar manner to the canon and Vegeta spends the next few years on his own in the mountains before he meets Bulma.
Trivia[]
- Vegeta likely keeps his name because Kame-Sennin either found out by reading his mind or looked into his space pod.
- Events happen differently in this fan comic, due to Vegeta's overwhelming power as a child.
- New characters that were introduced in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman like Bulma's sister, Tights, make an appearance.
