Colonel Violet (バイオレット大佐, Baioretto Taisa) is a human who runs the Children of Chaos while simultaneously being employed by the Red Ribbon Army. Following the bandit wars in Diablo Desert, she and her crew swoop in to take over the badlands for their cocaine trade. She is a major character in Chasing Oblivion and a main character in Nineteen Assassins.
History[]
Three years before the start of Chasing Oblivion, Violet began dating Nathaniel, the mayor of South City. Despite being a member of the Red Ribbon Army, she formed her own military force, the Children of Chaos, shortly after, using Nathaniel to fund their cocaine running operations.
Chasing Oblivion[]
In chapter 1, Colonel Violet met with the mayor of South City in the bowels of the Children of Chaos' Yunzabit Heights research station. They proceeded to do cocaine together and discussed the Negative Utilitarianism League's motives and purpose. She also told him "Mazuchiru sends his regards", implying that he was the one who had sent them the package of cocaine. When she realized that the purpose of NUL was to kill every living person, she described them as sick, to which the mayor agreed. The two then got very high together; the mayor speculated that Violet had already been high when he had found her that day.
In chapter 3, the mayor noted that the Children of Chaos, who operated the Yunzabit Heights research facility, were loyal only to him and Violet. Later on, the mayor was informed by Sergeant Tyrian that Colonel Violet would not be able to visit him again for several weeks, due to ongoing operations with the Red Ribbon Army.
In chapter 5, as he thought about calling up Tao to catch the Yalung, the mayor of South City noted that there was not one person in the Yunzabit Heights research station, apart from Violet (and she was, of course not there at present) and Tao himself who was a liaison of the highest quality. Later on, as he was falling asleep, Nathaniel thought about how much he missed Violet, Yunwu, Tyrian, and Bobo.
In chapter 6, just as the mayor was fleeing the room with the Yalung, he saw Violet approaching from the distance, a rifle in her hand. After collapsing from his wounds, she reached him, her worried face getting burned into his fading vision.
In chapter 7, Colonel Violet was flown to the Diablo Desert with one twelve-man team of Children of Chaos that included her pilot, Shyrin, and Cassian. She ordered Shyrin and Cassian to be the only two to accompany her to Hasky's location, leaving the rest to cover them with sniper rifles. While preparing to exit the transport, she noticed how Shyrin slouched, while Cassian stood proudly, and wondered to herself what the mayor had seen in former.
As she entered the desert for the first time, she thought to herself that Yunwu had orchestrated a plan to wipe out the bandits throughout the desert, and thus she did not expect to come into contact with any. Using the coordinates Yunwu had sent to the mayor, she found Hasky sitting in her hovercar in the middle of the desert, reading a magazine. The woman confronted her as a member of the Red Ribbon Army. Hasky, however, did not care, as she worked for Yunwu, not the mayor, and awaited only her lady's response before proceeding on with her plan for the infinite energy device. Then, Hasky got a phone call from one of Yunwu's aides, confirming the deputy mayor's death. Hasky admitted that she had been ordered to take the infinite energy device somewhere (Bonetown) to detonate it. Violet did not want to allow her to do this, demanding the device.
When Hasky refused to hand it over, a fight broke out. The colonel spat her gum at Hasky, shooting it immediately after, causing the gum to explode, which forced Hasky to dive into her car. During the scuffle, Hasky's guards, a pair of snipers on the next dune over, shot Shyrin's brains all over Cassian. Violet shot back at both of them, killing them. Trying to comfort the emotional Cassian, she left herself open to a countering kick from Hasky. While that knocked her pistol away, she ripped the thief out of her car, throwing her to the ground where she kicked her hard in the ribs before placing her boot to Hasky's throat. Then she stated that she would not kill Hasky, as Commander Red considered her a useful ally. Cassian recovered the infinite energy device for Violet, and she remained true to her word, leaving Hasky in the desert.
Cassian told Violet that there were no settlements in the Diablo Desert, according to his recon, except for a tiny town known as Bonetown. She ordered him to set up their base of operations there and to do another sweep of the desert, which would root out the last remaining surviving bandits, if there were any. Then, she told her team that they were going to return to the mayor. Violet thought to herself that if the mayor was intending to use the infinite energy device to blow up South City, she would put a bullet in his brain before he could do it.
Some time later, while he was patching up their wounds, Doc told Wolfe's Wings that he had just gotten back from Bonetown, where the Children of Chaos had taken over. He told Wolfe that the Children of Chaos had taken out all of the other bandits in the desert. He also revealed that he had run into Rosey there. Rosey had wanted to come back with Doc, but before that could happen, he had been killed after he had gotten into an argument with a purple-haired woman in the Fire and Blood tavern.
Later on, she returned to the mayor, who was recuperating in Bonetown. There, she gave him the infinite energy device and told him of Yunwu's passing, causing an emotional response in the man. Violet told him that they needed to focus on the drug trade to several of the major cities that had been made possible by the Children of Chaos taking over the Diablo Desert. She asked him for more money to finance a bigger army in the desert, and he agreed to supply her with the funds. They decided to meet in a bar later that night to unwind.
Later on, the mayor noticed the corpse of Rosey, who had been killed by Violet in a scuffle in a bar earlier; the Children of Chaos had decapitated him and stuck his head on a pike. Shortly after getting drunk, the mayor returned to Violet's room, as she had not shown up at the bar at the expected time. He probed her about Gero's device again, asking about its explosive capabilities. This worried Violet; she told him that she would not allow him to detonate it, prompting him to rebuke her for questioning his judgment. They did some more drugs, and then the mayor was forced to hide in Violet's closet as she met with Koicharu Mazuchiru.
He informed her of Yunwu's death, though she barely feigned sympathy. He asked her who the mayor would replace her with, but Violet refused to give him a definitive answer. He also told her that Yunwu had promised him Diablo Desert, but Violet was not in a position to actually do that. She told him that he would be rewarded handsomely, but could not specify how. Mazuchiru once again told her that he wanted Diablo Desert, as he thought he had earned it through eradicating the entire region of bandits. Then, he departed. Violet, who was not used to the amount of liquor she had ingested, immediately collapsed on her bed, having fallen asleep.
In chapter 8, on the evening of the day the mayor of South City had shot a bar patron, Violet found him behind the hotel hitting baseballs into the desert. She alerted him that Mazuchiru was on his way to discuss becoming the new deputy mayor. The mayor grew irate at that, stating he would never allow Mazuchiru to become deputy mayor. He also told Violet that he was done with cocaine. She was unconvinced at his statement, prompting him to tell her that he would not allow shipments of snow into South City. Violet was able to convince him to allow shipments to go through, for it would make both of them rich, regardless of if he was done with the stuff personally.
He then asked her when Mazuchiru was arriving, and she told him within an hour or two, and that he would be bringing several associates with him with the hope of setting up base in Bonetown. He then asked her what she would think if everyone in the world died. Violet replied that she wouldn't care, as in that case, she would be dead and gone too. She then asked him what to do about Mazuchiru. The mayor demanded that she gather up the Children of Chaos and ready them to meet with Mazuchiru in the main street, with the whole town as their witness. He pulled the infinite energy device out of his pocket and told her that it was going to be their ticket to happiness. Disturbed by this, Violet asked the man if he loved her, and he swore that he did, kissing her.
Later, when Mazuchiru and his forces arrived, Violet and her men met them on the outskirts of Bonetown, where she demanded that if the yakuza wanted to enter they leave their weapons in their hovercars. This outraged Mazuchiru, although Violet allowed his yakuza to unload his supplies and slaves while they waited for the mayor to appear. She ordered Cassian and the rest of her soldiers to inspect Mazuchiru's men, making sure none of them were carrying weapons, but they were unable to complete this check before the mayor showed up.
Contradicting Violet, Nathaniel told the groups that they would discuss the terms of their partnership right there in the open, not inside the hotel. Then, he insulted Mazuchiru, causing the yakuza boss to open fire, hitting him. The Children of Chaos retaliated, and so did Mazuchiru's men, causing a huge firefight to erupt between the groups. The Chàoxing Gon were significantly outnumbered, and thus the battle soon turned against them. Mazuchiru himself was forced to flee, though Violet shot him three times - twice in the arm, and once in the side, below the kidney. His men swarmed around him to protect him, eventually loading him into a hovercar to flee. Indeed, only Mazuchiru and his driver of the Chàoxing Gon were able to flee that day, with the rest of his entourage being butchered by the Children of Chaos.
After the battle was over, the Children of Chaos carried the mayor back to the hotel where medics were waiting to try to save him. Violet ordered them to save him at any cost, though she left the hotel soon after so they could get to work. Thereafter, she wandered through the carnage in Bonetown, stealing sideways glances at Cassian until Commander Red sent Violet a message stating that the Red Ribbon Army would be starting a world-wide search for the seven Dragon Balls the next day. She would be required to show up to their base at 5 a.m. sharp. She almost laughed at how unlucky her day had gone.
After Yamcha knocked out the mayor, who had fled from his surgery down the main road of Bonetown, by throwing his baseball at his face, Violet rushed the boy, confronting him about what he had done. She shot the baseball out of his hand, causing the boy to nearly burst into tears. Then, the mayor convulsed and screamed from the ground, which distracted her. While Yamcha looked for a weapon, however, a surviving yakuza, who looked to be near death himself, stumbled from around the corner of a building, and shot at Violet, hitting her once in the shoulder, dropping her. Medics and more Children of Chaos were rushing towards the mayor, and they soon killed the last living yakuza, saving Violet.
Some time afterwards, she and Nathaniel were taken to the South City hospital to recuperate. As she was suffering only from gunshot wounds, Violet was able to recover faster (especially with all the cocaine she was doing). She told the Red Ribbon Army that she would meet up with them soon, but did not depart for their base, instead calling up Cassian to ask about Nathaniel. Her captain revealed that a nurse had told him that the mayor was in stable, but critical condition.
She flew on a Red Ribbon Army helicopter to the hospital, where she met with Cassian outside Nathaniel's room. He and his guards were stationed across the entire floor. She went inside to see Nathaniel alone. He was suffering badly, asking for more morphine or cocaine to ease the pain. She reminded him that he quit the stuff, so she couldn't give him any. Then, the two had a short conversation about the nature of life and death, with Nathaniel ranting about how reality is already the afterlife, and how it is a suffering from the infinitude of before.
As he was going on about his nonsense, Violet loaded her pistol with a black talon bullet. He goaded her on, as if knowing what she was going to do, asking her to use the infinite energy device. Instead, she turned to face, told him she loved him, and shot him dead. Cassian burst into the room soon after, but Violet merely fell into his arms, kissing him, and begging him to take her home.
Days later, Hasky found Violet getting high off cocaine alone in her room in an undisclosed location. She demanded the infinite energy device from the woman, but Violet was too high to really know what was going on. She tried to goad Hasky into shooting her. The thief needed to find the device quickly, as her client was supposedly leaving the country in three hours. When she eventually spotted the device sitting on a table behind Violet, she left the Red Ribbon Army officer lying on the floor, grabbed the device, and left, but not before leaving Violet with a warning that she and her Children of Chaos would soon be buried in the desert by some unknown force.
Down the Well-Worn Road[]
In this story, Elijah journeyed to Minamogi's hideout in order to retrieve a katana the man had stolen. Once inside, Elijah found Minamogi conversing with Colonel Violet. They were negotiating a price for cocaine, with the false samurai arguing that he should only have to pay Ƶ30,000,000. Violet wanted Ƶ50,000,000. When Minamogi refused to pay more than he had last time, he drew the stolen katana, Chill of Midnight, and pointed it at her. She whistled for back-up, but when her soldiers didn't appear (having been stealthily killed by Elijah moments prior), she grew worried. Minamogi's men goaded him into attacking her.
However, at that moment, Elijah appeared. Thinking the man was one of Minamogi's underlings, Violet bolted, fleeing from the cave. After Elijah killed Minamogi and his bandits, Violet reappeared and seeing what had happened shot him three times - once in the shoulder, once in the belly, and once in the neck (though that one merely grazed him). She ran off, leaving him to die.
Nineteen Assassins[]
In the third scene of the first chapter, Violet met with a samurai who knew where Koicharu Mazuchiru was. Her squad of eleven soldiers, including Cassian and Carmichael, were with her, though she left them at the bottom of the hill before walking to the house. The samurai's name was Mushigi. He and Violet went to the garden to talk. He told her Mazuchiru was hiding in the Goldfish Casino, though no one had actually seen him in a while. His lieutenants Higataro and Sugoro were acting as his bodyguards. Violet told him they were going to hit the casino tomorrow night, so if he wanted to escape before then, he had a day or so to do so. She gave him five million zeni for helping. She left, thinking to herself that Mushigi was a dead man. Either the yakuza would kill him or her soldiers would.
Violet told her men that they would bomb the Goldfish Casino tomorrow night. She did a line of cocaine off Cassian's arm, elated that her war against Mazuchiru would soon come to an end.
At the start of the first scene of chapter 3, Carmichael captured a Chàoxing Gon yakuza by the name of Takebashi who had been taking a smoke break outside of the Goldfish Casino. After beating him, he convinced Takebashi to safely lead them inside. Violet didn't believe him, threatening to kill him until Takebashi said he'd take them to the secret entrance. They weren't sure if he was lying or leading them into a trap. He convinced them to go there after revealing it was meant as a discreet entrance for the bosses' whores. He told them he had a key he had stolen from one of Mazuchiru's whores in his pocket (he had run into her in the red light district while participating in a foursome). Violet found the key and wasn't entirely against the idea anymore. They decided to pursue it cautiously after Takebashi noted the door was only guarded by one man. There were more than thirty yakuza in the actual casino. They preferred not having to deal with them.
Carmichael offered to scout out the tunnel to see if Takebashi was telling the truth. If not, they'd burn the casino to the ground with their helicopter. Afterward, they met with Cassian and the remaining soldiers outside the casino's back door, observing two yakuza smoking. Cassian noticed she'd dyed her hair blonde, complimenting her. Violet said she'd done it to conceal her identity. She ordered two soldiers to flank her and Carmichael while they entered the casino, leaving Cassian and the rest with the helicopter to provide cover and a means to get out of there quickly if things went wrong.
Takebashi led them through the whores' tunnel to Mazuchiru's room. Carmichael found a man guarding Mazuchiru's door, knifing him before he could raise an alarm. Noticing Mazuchiru unconscious in a bed inside, Violet ordered everyone back into the tunnel. After Takebashi confirmed Higataro and Sugoro were running the gang right now, she decided to spare him, as she'd need his help to kill them.
After they left, Violet could hardly contain her tears. She looked upon Mazuchiru, who lay on a bed gaunt and pale, hooked up IV machines and other contraptions. He was in a coma. Violet knew it had been from the gunfight in Bonetown. After ranting to the sleeping man how she had relived that gunfight in Bonetown in her mind countless times since they'd last seen each other, she plunged a knife into his heart, killing him.
She did a line of coke then returned to the others, telling Carmichael to ask Cassian to prepare the helicopter for departure. They met Cassian outside. As he prepared to get in the helicopter, he was hit by a sniper's bullet, killing him instantly. Her soldiers began falling. Takebashi took a shot to the arm. Carmichael fell on top of her, shielding her. As her soldiers died, Violet ordered Carmichael to retrieve the helicopter's capsule from Cassian's body. He ran out, getting the capsule before anyone could shoot him (although several more of Violet's soldiers died providing him cover fire). He had taken several bullet wounds, though he wasn't yet done. When the snipers abandoned their posts to close in on the Children of Chaos, he once again tried to fight them off but was shot again. This time, he was flung away, falling into a pool of blood.
Trying to avenge him, she shot back at the snipers, though it didn't take long for her to take a shot to the leg. She fell, watching her last soldiers die. Succumbing to her wound and accepting her fate amongst a sea of tears, she was surrounded by a team of yakuza. Sugoro revealed himself as the mastermind of the ambush, mocking Violet and ordering Takebashi to be placed next to him. Sugoro berated Takebashi for leading Violet to Mazuchiru, betraying their gang. He revealed he had known about Violet's plot and had tracked her the entire time. He was happy she'd killed Mazuchiru, which meant now he and Higataro would officially run the Chàoxing Gon. He swore he'd eliminate the Children of Chaos and take over Diablo Desert.
Without warning and in quick succession, another sniper headshotted Sugoro and his entire entourage. At that moment, a bald man came out from behind a dumpster. He introduced himself as Eugen, saying he needed to take her to his boss. He said they were part of the New Red Ribbon Army. He knew about her helicopter capsule, which startled her. He promised to treat her leg if she went with him. She didn't want to. He raised a pistol at her, demanding that she come with him. He promised to promote her to the rank of commander in the new army. Unwillingly, Violet relented. Takebashi stirred, which intrigued Eugen.
In the third scene of chapter 4, Violet awoke in a tiny prison cell. There were three other cells in the room. She noticed Carmichael in one, Takebashi in another, and the person in the fourth was someone she couldn't see because he lurked in the shadows. She called out to Carmichael, and he showed off he was doing alright. They speculated on who the New Red Ribbon Army were (Takebashi admitting he didn't know who they were either), when the doors on the far side of the room opened, and in strode Cardinal. He cut to the chase, offering everyone a job in the New Red Ribbon Army. If they refused, he'd kill them. Takebashi professed his loyalty to the Chàoxing Gon. Cardinal said that gang were allied to him and immediately pardoned Takebashi, allowing him to leave. The man did not think twice before running out.
Cardinal approached the fourth prisoner's cell, pulling him out and pressing a pistol to his head. He asked Violet if she recognized the guy. She realized it was Mushigi right before Cardinal put a bullet through his head. Cardinal said he had lost patience with Violet. He was currently dealing with an imminent alien threat to the planet and didn't have time for petty squabbles. He was not amused that Violet had attacked the Chàoxing Gon. She was defiant. Cardinal reprimanded her for going against the Chàoxing Gon. She noted Eugen had killed Sugoro. Cardinal said that Sugoro's death benefited his cause because Higataro (the only remaining yakuza boss for the gang) was much easier to deal with.
Violet wasn't willing to join, saying that her loyalty to the Children of Chaos remained resolute and she had never been loyal to the Red Ribbon Army. Cardinal revealed General Copper and his legion had survived the RRA's downfall. He speculated Dr. Gero had too, but didn't know for certain. He reminded her that she and Silver had served under Copper. Violet realized Silver was still alive, shocked though she was that Commander Red had failed to execute him.
Cardinal confessed to intervening and saving his son. He said she'd join up with Silver after he returned from a mission in the Red Sea to track down Copper and Gero. If there were any other surviving RRA officers, those two would know who and where they were. She would not help him. Cardinal said that Silver was currently on the island of Akki and would soon be returning with a prisoner. This greatly affected Violet. Cardinal promised to promote her to the rank of commander if she helped Silver find Copper. Otherwise, he'd kill her father the same way he had killed Mushigi. He turned on his heels and walked out, leaving her to stew on that.
In the first scene of chapter 6, Violet and Carmichael ate breakfast inside their prison cells. She asked him if he had any cocaine on him. He audibly said no while giving her a look that implied he had something, though. She realized they hadn't x-rayed Carmichael. He had swallowed a capsule in a baggy before the mission to the Goldfish Casino that had contained something important and likely recovered it by now.
Just then, the big metal doors opened. Cardinal, Silver, Glase, and Eugen entered. With them were two people bound by their wrists: Charles and Kyofune (whom Violet didn't recognize). She was overcome by negative emotion seeing her father, trying to ignore him as best she could. Eugen and Glase put Kyofune in a cell while Silver brought Charles to the center of the room. Cardinal wasted no time in asking Violet to join the New Red Ribbon Army. When she refused, Silver punched her father in the gut. She didn't expect to feel for him, but it was a visceral reaction. She begged them to stop hurting him. Silver pistol-whipped Charles, asking for Violet to bring an end to things, as he didn't want to do this. She didn't believe him yet refused to change her mind. He continued pummeling Charles. Charles looked to Violet, his watery blue eyes moving her deeply.
She broke, falling in line, telling Cardinal she'd join Silver in his search for Copper. Cardinal informed her that she'd be accompanying Glase and Silver to Seikishi City (a medium-sized town south of West City) to meet with the Morizakura-gumi yakuza group. Since the Chàoxing Gon was leaderless, they could no longer be relied upon to protect Cardinal's shipping routes through Diablo Desert. He needed a new gang to provide muscle. If she behaved, he would allow her to join Silver's search for General Copper afterward. Violet shouted that Eugen had killed Sugoro while she had killed a man in a coma. What he had done was worse. And Violet was justified in what she'd done, as Mazuchiru had killed her boyfriend Nathaniel.
Glase let her out of her cell, warning her not to try anything. Cardinal ordered Eugen to bring Carmichael out of his cell too. He did so, pushing him out with a pistol against the man's back. Cardinal asked Violet to choose one of the other prisoners to live, as he was only willing to house one of them in a cell. In disbelief, Violet cried out, asking him to reconsider by putting them in the same cell. She seethed, thinking to herself how badly she wanted to murder Cardinal. The man would do no such thing. She had to make a choice then and there.
Carmichael fell against Charles for some reason, though Eugen quickly pulled him away. Cardinal warned her that if she didn't make a decision, he'd kill both prisoners. Cardinal prepared to shoot Charles when Violet begged him to kill one of the other prisoners instead. Cardinal had use for them still. He had no use for Charles and Carmichael going forward. Realizing she had to make a decision, Violet reluctantly nodded to Carmichael, whose face had grown pale with fear. He was hurt by Violet choosing him. In the next moment, Cardinal shot him in the face.
Cardinal asked her to supply Eugen with the location of the remaining Children of Chaos. If she didn't, he'd kill Charles too. Unwillingly, she did so. She and her father had a brief moment of recognition, though she couldn't talk to him before she was ushered out of the room, thinking to herself how it had been his fault that she had joined the Red Ribbon Army. He'd abandoned her soon afterward, and for that, she had never forgiven him. Glase pushed her to the door. It was time to visit the Morizakura-gumi. Violet swore to herself that she'd kill them all.
In the first scene of chapter 7, Violet, Silver, and Glase took a midnight train from Orange Star City to Seikishi City. They had a private room. Violet was chained up. She asked Silver for cocaine but he didn't have any. He told her to watch herself as he was the only one in the NRRA who didn't want her dead. She needed to prove her loyalty to them before she could get assurances for anything. She had refused to join them before and thus her situation was a result of her own doing.
She asked him if Cardinal had truly served in the Red Ribbon Army because she had never met him. Silver explained he had mostly worked in Central City as a spy for Commander Red. He had also saved Silver from being executed by Red's goons. Afterward, Cardinal had resigned from the RRA, leaving Red at the mercy of Goku.
Silver said that after they dealt with the Morizakura-gumi, Violet would join him to search for General Copper, as he was the only remaining RRA officer unaccounted for. He had last been seen with a Dragon Radar which Silver wanted desperately. With that device, they'd be able to find the Dragon Balls quickly and use them to take over the world. Violet agreed to help him on that mission, especially since both of them had served under Copper and had good relationships with him. Silver didn't know where Copper was. It would be their job to find him. He speculated Gero might also be alive but they had no information on him at present. Violet said she'd help while thinking to herself that she didn't care about world domination and wouldn't mind killing Copper, as he'd been rude to her on more than one occasion.
She asked if her father would be spared if she did this. Silver confirmed that to be the case, which eased her mind somewhat. She thought to herself that she'd kill Glase and Eugen to avenge Carmichael. Her wild hope was that Silver would join the Children of Chaos, as much of a pipe dream as that was.
Violet slept the rest of the way to Seikishi. When they got there, she awoke, noticing Glase hadn't slept at all. Silver was dozing. Violet woke him and they set off, taking a hovertaxi from Seapark Station to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town that was the Morizakura-gumi's base. Silver didn't give the taxi driver a tip, which enraged him, but he fled after Glase flashed her gun.
They met a group of yakuza outside the building. Their leader Mokuzabe was shirtless. He apologized that his uncle Eigan, who was the leader of the gang, hadn't been able to make it. He welcomed them to join the gang inside where a Korean all-you-can-eat barbecue had been prepared to celebrate their partnership. The yakuza didn't take their weapons but warned them not to try anything. Silver promised nothing would happen. Everyone went inside, Glase and Violet sitting at one of the tables while a yakuza brought them their plates. The other yakuza and Silver dispersed around the room, talking and eating amongst themselves.
When the yakuza brought them their plates (and Glase a glass of red wine), Violet recognized Takebashi as one of them. Violet regretted not killing Takebashi when she'd had the chance. Glase said Takebashi had chosen to join the Morizakura-gumi after his previous yakuza group had fractured. Yakuza kept refilling Glase's wine glass every ten or so minutes. She quickly became drunk, especially since she wasn't eating anything. As she grew more reckless, Violet was able to catch sight of a conversation she was having on her phone with Cardinal that revealed Charles had escaped, killed Eugen, and been taken out by assassins.
Violet was overcome with rage, trying her best to mask it. She felt betrayed by Silver and resolved once more to kill everyone in the NRRA. She waited until Silver and Mokuzabe slipped outside for a smoke break before informing Glase that she needed to use the restroom. As Glase didn't want Violet to piss all over herself and offend the yakuza, she agreed to take her.
Violet slipped one of her chopsticks into a pocket. A yakuza guard joined them, waiting at the restroom's door. Violet noticed Glase was incredibly drunk, barely able to hold it together. Glase washed her face in the sink while Violet used the restroom. In there, she split the chopstick in two, hiding each half behind her palms.
Glase was waiting for her outside the stall, telling her to wash her hands. Violet obliged, walking over to the sink, making snarky comments about Glase's liquid lunch. At the sink, Violet unexpectedly spun around, jamming one of the chopstick fragments up Glase's nose. She stuck the other one in the woman's ear. She took the screaming woman to the ground, battering her skull open. As Glase spasmed and seized, Violet fumbled for her pistol. The yakuza guard ran around the corner, shooting her in the shoulder before she retaliated with three chest shots that sent the man to the ground. She shot her chains off, stole the yakuza's pistol, and hid both weapons underneath her clothes. She washed the blood from her skin and tied off her wound with Glase's scarf.
Violet snuck out of the restroom, making a beeline to Silver and Mokuzabe. Luckily, none of the yakuza noticed anything suspicious about her on the way over. She went outside, drawing a pistol and pointing it at the men as she approached. Crying, she screamed at Silver for allowing her father to die after promising the opposite. Silver demanded to know what had happened to Glase. Violet promised he'd meet her soon enough. Silver said Charles had killed Eugen and broken out of his cage. It was no wonder he'd been killed for that. He asked her to lower the weapon. Instead, she shot him twice, dropping him.
Next, she aimed at Mokuzabe. He advised her not to shoot him. As she went to, suddenly, she was hit by a bullet from behind, taking the breath from her lungs. Staggering, she tried to shoot Mokuzabe but lost her grip on the pistol and fell over. Takebashi appeared from behind, a gun in his hand. He asked her to beg for her life. She spat blood on his face, thinking to herself about how her father had probably thought she didn't love him. Her last thoughts were of him as she faded from consciousness. Takebashi implied he'd have sex with her after she died. Violet lost consciousness before she could respond.
Trivia[]
- Violet got Doctor Gero in a lot of trouble in Chasing Oblivion by reporting to Commander Red that Gero had illegally sold an infinite energy device to Yunwu.
